For some, a tour of the Queen Mary, docked here since its retirement in 1967, evokes waves of nostalgia for the days of the huge ocean liner with its opulent rooms, 1930s deco décor and teakwood decks. Others, particularly the younger set, are entranced by the spine-tingling haunted ship stories on the nighttime ghost tour. But for everyone, a visit to this floating hotel and museum is a must on any trip to Long Beach. At one time a less-than-appealing place to visit, Long Beach has transformed itself into an upscale tourist resort, with many waterfront attractions, including a new, state-of-the-art aquarium with a fabulous shark exhibit, two excellent art museums, charming shops, public golf courses, the annual April Grand Prix international auto race and lots of recreational activities along its eight-mile stretch of beach. Take the kids to the waterfront entertainment complex with rides and live performances or to the farming demonstrations at Rancho Los Alamitos. Feeling romantic? Cruise the canals of Naples (that's right, Naples Island in Long Beach) in a genuine Venetian gondola. One thing is for sure: tensions and stresses dissolve in this laid-back, friendly city.

Full service hotel with water views from rooms. Walking distance to 100 shops and restaurants. Centrally located for easy travel to Southern California attractions (Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Aquarium of the Pacific).
Rooms are small, not queen beds, double beds only; pool is great; but need to walk to the indoor bar if you wanna drink; no lifeguard at the pool; no Cruise shuttle; restaurants around are nice but a bit pricy;

Beautiful, pristine and clean rooms. Friendly receptionist staff that make your stay worthwhile! We stayed a few days here and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere was very familial and the staff were very helpful. Never had trouble finding parking and the area the hotel is in is very convenient. I had lost my room key multiple times throughout our stay and the front desk staff was kind and understanding to reissue new ones each time. 10/10 recommend!

Beautifully decorated of the ports of long Beach, I felt like I was on a ship with the decor and very clean establishment. Heated pool just wish the market/bar wasn't close in the middle of the day to get a drink but was very quiet and great customer service.. We'll be back

This is our second visit we came once about 3 years ago and loved it so much but the rooms have become dusty and dated. The tv doesn’t offer Netflix, or any streaming. the ac is loud. And the furniture is dirty and some broken. Hair and dust all over the floor. We ordered room service and it was cold , soggy and overpriced, they didn’t bring any napkins silverware or dressing for the salad, or salsa for the quesadillas. When we called to get the rest of the order they knocked on the door and set the things on the floor. I’m so disappointed because the room service used to be great here. There was no where to park because they are having an event to we had to park down the street at a different hotel. And haul all our things and toddler a half mile to the room. It’s unacceptable! Then the party was blasting music till 1 am. And then the party guests lit up the hallways and woke up my child and me multiple times. Uncomfortable lip sided bed with a stain on the sheet. I could go on and on. The front desk was unhelpful and annoyed with anything we had to say and then we had to pay 30$ for parking just to leave when we didn’t even park in their lot. Unfortunately this will be our last time visiting. Wish I could get my 400$ back for this horrible night spent at the maya

I stayed here for 6 nights in early May and it was a great experience your right next to the beach! The rooms have been recently remodeled and there very nice! This place is going to soon become a hidden gem in Long Beach! The only thing that I would say they need to improve on is a telephone in the room and a microwave other than that it was great!

The front desk customer service was very good and understanding. My room was incredibly outdated and truly did not feel very clean. The carpet appears to be about 30 years old. My bedding was clean. The bathroom was mediocre cleaned at best and the shower head was very old and sprayed awkwardly. Election to depart early due to uncleanliness. Also fellow guest encountered bed bugs. While checking my bed for bugs I noticed a used condom between the mattress and the box springs. This is unacceptable and disgusting. After checkout in which no issues were presented and I was originally charged for the 2 of 5 days of my stay. Later I received an email and was charged for the remaining 3 days. When addressed we were told we agreed to this as some sort of contract. At no time did I sign anything or commit to a contract. While addressing these issues with the sales manager, myself and fellow guests were treated poorly and disrespected. No apology was given for the issues encountered, in fact a disrespectful response of “I am sorry our hotel did not meet your high standards” was given. Another fellow guest who also encountered uncleanliness and seemed to have been bitten was told by the same sales manager that monkeypox has been found in Georgia and that they look like bed bug bites… Even after bed bugs were discovered by a professional exterminator still no apology. Even after several rooms were found to have numerous unclean and gross items under the beds(while being inspected by exterminator for bed bugs)… still no apology given. Management was very disrespectful and unapologetic!

Nice hotel with spacious room and decent facilities. However, breakfast is terrible with lousy staffs . Not only that, billing errors happened to many customers and hotel staff put me to a long delay on the phone before resolving it. Absolutely AVOID this place. Never experience a worse hotel staff than this one!
