This motel is not far outside the BNE Local Government Area and was a convenient spot for us as we transitted BNE Airport overnight going to rural QLD whilst the city was in lockdown. It is clean. Convenient. Close to the main road. A good price and an OK proposition for families. At the time it was a pricey proposition for a family but understandable given school hols and so close to the Gold Coast. Management are friendly and patient. Whilst we are unlikely need to transit this area again, this would be my choice of we did.

From the first enquiry the ‘gentleman’ who answered my call seemed cold in his tone of voice & i thought i must be calling at the wrong time of day? As i made my booking i asked a question & relayed that question to my husband the ‘gentleman’ said abruptly “ we can’t do business with you” I think he is the one who should have a holiday We stayed elsewhere!

What is obviously a cheap design and construction, this motel could be adequate if it were managed properly, but unfortunately it's not. I'm surprised the motel chain to which this belongs puts its name to it. Not properly cleaned Lights not working Room smelt of wet dog or cat Receptionist unable to speak understandable English Gardens unkempt Parking bays so narrow unable to get bags out of car doors So poorly designed, no windows to look out of Good feature = it's reasonably priced

I originally booked 3 nights accommodation, but thankfully needed to check out a day early (still waiting on my refund for the third night and hoping it's simply a case of banking delays, trusting it to come through). This motel is in a pretty dodgy area. The courtyard behind the room is not private and can be accessed by anyone, as is what happened on the first night. I could hear people walking by the glass sliding door (it's gravel, so very noisy). I did not feel safe. I awoke early the next morning and caught them attempting to get into my car. As a lone female traveler, this was extremely disconcerting. Their website explicitly states that wifi is an included facility, yet upon checking in, the booklet in the room states "Due to poor internet connectivity, we do not advertise that we have free wifi. Staff will not tolerate abuse". I literally booked this motel because it stated that wifi was available and I have a business to run. Very disappointing. Check in is stated for 2pm, yet I received a text message at 1.30pm that they were closing up for the day so I needed to pick my keys up from a lockbox. When I did need to call and speak to reception, they were closed and I got the afterhours line, they didn't really know what they were doing and just told me the morning staff would sort it out (this was for checking out a day early). As someone who worked in hotels for 2 years on the front desk, an early check out is something ANYONE answering the phone, afterhours or not, needs to know. Lastly, the room smellt of cigarettes and there were literal holes in the sheets. About the size of pencil in diameter. Very poor stay overall. Would not go back.

Central to everything. Shops, McDonalds, Restaurants, most conveniences. Rooms were clean, serviced daily, great little breakfast package every day. Undercover parking was fantastic as it rained the whole time I stayed. Parking is right out the front of the unit, large car spots supplied . Friendly reception staff, housekeepers were warm and accomodating also. The showers were lovely. Beautiful rain drop head on the showers with lovely hot water. Excellent after a long day out. Block out curtains for a sleep in if required. A designated smoking area was a nice touch also. Meals can be delivered to your room easily, nice variety of food available as well. I stayed on reception side which made traffic noise hardly noticeable. My stay was a week long. Only one small hiccup with the fire alarm early one morning. Only small downside is there is no micro-wave.

I'm in the area for work for 8 days and my first visit here I ordered the Wagyu steak, oh boy, this was not a Wagyu steak, it tasted or should I say didn't taste of steak at all, bland. If you have had Wagyu you know when you are eating one. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again, this time I ordered 6x Kilpatrick oysters as a starter and seafood linguini for a main to come out separate, the oysters arrived which were dry and the bacon was like chewing on old cut up leather work boots, the main came out before I could even get into the oysters as they seem to forget to give any cutlery at all. The linguine, pieces of raw fish, no taste at all and swimming in grease, I had 1 fork full and left. If you have no sense of taste or you have been smoking petrol and crack you might enjoy the food, me, I'm from Perth and we have some decent places to eat. All in all about $100.00 wasted in this place, I would advise to avoid like monkey pox!

If I could give 0 stars I would My partner and I booked a room here for New Year’s Eve. Everything started fine, bit of confusion with the aircon but we figured it out. Then my partner and I got ready to go out for the night, coming in and out of the room to go for cigarettes, everything was working just fine. We went out to some pubs then came back to the motel at about 2:30am. Only to discover the key card wouldn’t unlock our door anymore. We tried everything we could including ringing the motel’s phone, ringing the doorbell, getting in contact with a different manager who couldn’t help us at the time. Nothing worked. So we were stuck outside in the freezing cold rain with no where to sleep or use the bathroom. We couldn’t even sleep in our car because the car keys were locked in the room with the rest of our stuff. My partner and I decided to camp outside of the reception building just waiting til 7am when the reception desk opens. Shivering and exhausted all we wanted was a hot shower and to sleep in the bed we paid for. At 5:30am the manager woke up and finally let us back into our room. She had no sympathy at all, no apologies, and had the audacity to blame us and say it was our fault for desensitising the magnet in the key card by having it next to a phone. Even though we explained the card was kept in a wallet which stayed in a separate pocket to a phone. We finally got our hot shower and got a few hours sleep before we had to be awake to tidy the room and be at the front desk for check out. We asked for a refund because of the horrible and scary experience we went through. We paid for a safe place to sleep and we only received that for 3 hours. The manager downright refused the full refund, and didn’t care that she caused her guests to have an awful experience. There were no signs or explanations that the key card could get desensitised when we arrived at the motel. The manager said it was common sense not to keep it near a phone and that we won’t get a refund because we should have known better. We explained how there was no after hours number we could contact and that security drove through the parking lot twice, seeing us camping outside the front desk and did nothing. To which we learned that the security guard has the managers personal number and could have easily contacted her and resolved the issue. An argument then ensued and we were kicked off the property. We have since been in contact with a lawyer to sue for breach of contract and to get compensation for this disgusting experience. We highly recommend you don’t stay here due to the lack of care and the absolutely horrible customer service. We want to make sure no one ever goes through what we did, no one should ever have to feel terrified, lost or alone when they paid for a safe place to sleep.

We stayed here as a last minute booking on our way back from Brisbane to home in NSW as our car broke down on the M1 not long into our trip. The reception staff were absolutely lovely when we called around 6.00pm trying to find somewhere to stay for the night once we broke down nearby. They provided us with a great room that was very clean and well presented. Check in was easy and they were very understanding of the situation. In the morning, we had to wait for a mechanic to come and help and they were more than happy to provide us with a late check out with no additional cost. We also had takeaway for dinner from the restaurant downstairs and it was FABULOUS! Would definitely recommend and stay again
