Beautiful building, great staff but was slightly ruined by cockroaches and another unidentified bug, which left me on edge. In addition to this, the bath also leaked across the room, which was disappointing as the bath was beautiful.

This "Adults only" charming emblematic hotel, situated in the historical district of Vegueta in Las Palmas, is to escape from the hustle and bustle of our everyday life, an oasis of comfort and calm where you can reconnect with life's best emotions. A place to create memories that will last forever. The interior courtyard has been transformed into a luminous communal meeting area that is elegant and soothing in its decor. On the second floor, you'll find some quiet hidden areas where you can enjoy a good read while sipping a comforting drink. The roof terrace will take your breath away, with its shady corners pampered in lust vegetation and a plunge pool from which to observe the immense beauty of Vegueta's Cathedral and neighboring rooftops.
This hotel, and all the lovely friendly staff that work there are amazing. We could not fault our stay and would love to go back. It has a very plush but cool interior. Gorgeous roof terrace, simple yet comfy bedrooms. What really made our stay exceptional though we’re the people that worked there. They couldn’t do enough for us. From restaurant tips and reservations to car hire, they even arranged a manicure from me (which the salon refused to take payment for as I was staying at the hotel!). It’s in a beautiful location, right in the centre of the old town. Perfect to explore on foot. Great choice of food at breakfast. Catered for my nut allergy - nothing seemed to be too much trouble. 10 out of 10!

We love it here for so many reasons… Amazing staff :)) Alfonso on reception, always so kind and goes above and beyond! ? and Carmelo for always looking after us and finding us a lovely table! It’s the little things that really make this hotel so very special! The location, surroundings, cleanliness and quiet rooms.?⭐️ If we could have a few wishes to improve it would be free upgrades to sea view rooms for regular repeating guests and may be some English TV channels too. Have nothing but great things to say about Hotel Bex. Room was as described (we took a sea views double deluxe) and the food (we did breakfast board) was excellent and good value. We enjoyed the pool and made good use of the excellent gym. As others have said, the staff are delightful; very friendly and efficient. Also liked the fact that there was a good mix of guests, age wise and nationalities. We have stayed down on the front before but actually enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle and the walk to the beach along the riverbed is pleasant. Would not hesitate to return and may well do next year.

A clean and efficient modern hotel in a good location between the old city and port. Bed especially comfortable. Breakfast buffet could be expanded slightly in range and quality, though for the price I paid good value.

The Hotel Astoria is one of the most centrally located hotels in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is situated in the commercial area of the city, near the financial area and beside the spectacular Playa de Las Canteras. The hotel has a wonderful swimming pool on the top floor with spectacular views, plus a fully equipped gym. If you are looking for a central hotel with affordable prices, Hotel Astoria is undoubtedly your hotel in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In addition to a privileged location, our hotel has excellent facilities to help you make your stay in Gran Canaria a real pleasure.
For the price we paid for the holiday package we were blown away by how nice this hotel was. The gorgeous marble in the entrance and even the floor of the lift gave the place a very grand feel. Loved the incredibly comfy beds and blackout curtains. Huge choice at breakfast, e.g. three different ways to make coffee: machine (like you get in most hotels), coffee urn or if you are happy to wait a little, freshly ground beans... and something so few hotels seem to offer as standard - hot milk! The rooftop pool and bar was very handy, although the hotel is very close to the beach and restaurants too. Even though it is a few minutes walk from the the main tourist area, there is plenty to do and see without even going that far. We went for a walk to the Old Town, which was the highlight of the trip from a site-seeing point of view, but it is a bit of a walk (11km round trip) The staff are friendly and helpful. The service in the restaurant is great e.g. one time when we were in a rush, and hadn't got saucers for our coffee, one of the waiters deftly managed to slide a plate under our cups for us, without us having to stop walking! This is not a "brits abroad" hotel it is out of the main tourist area and a lot of Spanish speakers stay at the hotel, so the staff do not speak fluent English, which we enjoyed as we are trying to learn Spanish. Thoroughly recommend.

Well located, good breakfast and a decent room. The food coupons gives the guests 5 options in restaurants in the area. I tried 2 options and both restaurants were good. The hotel breakfast was nice too.

Hotel Aloe Canteras, located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria just a few meters from Las Canteras Beach. From its solarium you have awesome views of the beach. The recently renovated rooms have free Wi-Fi and have been decorated in a contemporary and bright style.
I spent last week at this hotel. It has a great location close to the beach and within a short walking distance of great restaurants and bars. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is also a great Roof Top Bar which is open in the evenings and a lovely Terrace where you can also soak up with sun. The hotel is well worth a visit.

A small reception desk which is up a flight of stairs, no place to pull up in your car to drop off luggage, in fact, no place to park your car… €16 (apparently this is discounted) per 24hrs in a public car park nearby. There are manual type lifts at the base of the stairs… if you’re in the know! Two receptionists on duty. Room was dated, TV all Spanish and no alternatives, Netflix hadn’t worked for a while apparently?? Paper cups placed by a much welcomed Nespresso machine but only one capsule. For us Tea lovers, there was a kettle too. Everything was just well… ordinary… nothing special & certainly not up to what you’re probably used to! Breakfast… masks masks masks! It’s a thing still in the Canaries .. I was told unceremoniously to put mine on… I had forgotten arghhh! Buffet … hot food pretty awful but loads of breads & pastries.. fresh fruits were basic but the yoghurts & nuts were good. Lots juices and Nespresso machines. This is a no frills hotel for a quick visit..

The first and foremost aspect for this hotel is the location, city centre and 70 yards to the Las Canteras beach, as well as close to the new Las Palmas city centre. This being during the pandemic, less lively in the hotel, but it is possible to have your breakfast in the hotel, and also read local papers. Otherwise, hotel quiet, even on a Saturday night. Rooms are taken care of every day, and towels supplied when needed. Our beds were good too!
