Quirky and all the better for it!
Reviewed By nigelmax2016If you want modern fittings, lifts and consistency don't come here, go to an Ibis (which are good in their own way). The hotel is centuries old with many interesting features that you feel very much in keeping with the atmosphere of Laon itself. That said the rooms have all the comforts you need, and everything worked. The concierge was welcoming and very helpful guiding to us to some restaurants that suited us. The breakfast was good and set us up for the day. The Les Chevaliers is well located, in the centre of the town yet not noisy with public parking nearby. If you are driving navigating the narrow streets and one way system take patience but it is worth it.

Worse night ever.
Reviewed By RoxaneG134Old hotel , but it has its charm. No bottle of water in the room , nr 17 has no WiFi connection due to the thick walls. We were in Moulins the night before , old house , perfect WiFi . But the most terrible was the bed . A bed in witch you both automatically rolled in the middle. A medical bed , they said . Well, invite them to sleep in it one night only . The bathroom had a very big problem with condensation on the walls. As I said old hotel , but never , never again .

I totally understand that some hotels have not opened due to covid and lack of funds but this hotels rooms were not even budget rooms. I am sure cleanliness did not cost anymore before covid. I am speaking for myself but I am very aware of the other groups opinions of this sub standard hotel. I have never felt the need to write such a negative review

Reviewed By CazgerazUnbelievable that this hotel has 3 stars! Most basic room I’ve ever stayed in - and this was the “superior room”. Very very tired decor, holes in wall in bathroom particularly where items have been removed but not filled in. Only 1 towel each with huge sign on bed saying don’t steal the linen!! Absolutely no extras - no hot drink making facilities as seen on room pictures. Upstairs room was so very dim and depressing, glad it was a one night stay en route. Generally clean and bed comfortable. Good parking. No gym facilities due to COVID restrictions I assume.

Reviewed By 85Fred69Very easy to find, with parking. The best place to stay to visit Laon Clean, refurbished with new matresses very comfortable Rather quiet despite the proximity of the road. Very friendly welcome. Nice breakfast (please don't borrow knifes, we need them for breakfast !!)

Friendly and efficient staff. ‘Standard’ sized room, which was clean and comfortable. Bathroom OK with decentish shower pressure. Breakfast buffet was average. Couple of other eateries within reasonable walking distance. No complaints at the price!

Reasonable little place to stay
Reviewed By Charlie BThis little hotel is perfectly situated right in the middle of the old town of Laon. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The Décor very basic and the fittings pretty cheap and tacky. The hotel offers no services at all so that in reality it is just a convenient place to stay. I do not understand how someone can describe this hotel as 'Excellent 10*** and the 'Must Chosen' hotel in Laon!!!!' That just does not describe this 'Hotel'....it is just a place to stopover. Restaurants, the old Cathedral and the city Square are very close. The street is very narrow and there is a bar/pizza shop right next door, so noisy until very late. There is no parking and we just risked it and left our motorbikes on the pavement at the door!

worst visit ever?
Reviewed By pieter882it was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. The stay clean i didn't use the shower. But the worst was the breakfast. We were not allowed the use plates because we where from the primier classe and not from kyriad. So we had to eat from trays. And even these trays where worse than the kyriad ones.

Tramway hotel, Laon - welcoming and comfortable
Reviewed By PhilV011960I stayed at this hotel for the Laon Classic Car event. We were made very welcome and, although the rooms a basic they are very comfortable with all one needs for a short stay. The location is great and, although near the railway is is very quiet. I recommend this hotel.

The food we ate was wonderful and the service made this a memorable stopover. Julia's English is very good and much better than our French
