Maison de Maitre (our B & B guests) Les Magnolias was in the 18th century primarily a mansion with an adjoining wine storehouse. The Maison de Maître has beautiful original features including beautiful marble fireplaces, paneled doors, wooden floors and carved ceilings. Nowadays the Maison has been given a new destination as a B & B, perfect for a romantic stay. On the ground floor is our luxurious cottage Rosette. This romantic Guest House is located right on the river side and has a private entrance. The cottage consists of a spacious living room, a kitchen and three large bedrooms decorated in style, suitable for 2-8 people. The reception is located on the first floor of the Maison de Maître. Upon arrival please report here. After receiving the keys to your room or apartment we will accompany you to your room/appartment. After checking in you can leave your car in our private parking and you are welcome for a drink on the roof of our Salon Rivage. The original living space on the second floor has recently been converted into four tastefully decorated guestrooms each with regional bastide names (Eymet, Lalinde, Monpazier and Beaumont du Périgord ). The large, comfortable rooms all have luxury box spring beds (1.80mx2.00m) with freshly ironed sheets. A comfortable night sleep is guaranteed. Our rooms feature central heating, a private sitting area, facilities to make coffee and tea, a wardrobe and a bathroom with a large shower, toilet, heating, hair dryer and a sink. There is no TV or radio in the room but you have access to our free Wi-Fi. On request an extra cot is possible (free, but advised to request when booking). There is also, in consultation, the possibility to offer our guests rooms as a family room. Against additional costs 1 or 2 extra beds can be added. The attic has been converted into a cozy living room and adjoining dining room: Salon de Rivage. In Salon de Rivage you can relax, read a book (from our library) or watch some Satelite TV (French-English and German channels). There is free WiFi in the whole building. The dining room is the place where in the morning breakfast is served. In the colder months, this space is heated. Outside we have our roof terrace where breakfast is served when the weather is fine. In the hall you will find our guest fridge with cold drinks. You can also keep snacks or drinks in this fridge which can be enjoyed on our roof terrace with the bonus of fantastic views over the banks of the Dordogne. If you consume drinks from our fridge you can also make use of our glasses and crockery. Former wine warehouse (Chai) This area, where the wine used to be stored, is converted into a comfortable gitescomplex. The cottages have names of famous AOC wines from the Bergerac wine region. In this section there are four 2 bedroom gites (Monbazillac, Saussignac, Montravel and Pécharmant) suitable for 4 people and a 3 bedroom cottage (Bergerac), a former guardian cottage, suitable for 2- 8 people. If desired an extra cot can be added. (not free and advised to request when booking) The living arrangement of our gites is inspired by the history as a wine warehouse. Our lodgings are comfortable, warm and cozy with ingredients from the Bergerac wine region. All cottages have a large living room with central heating, Wifi, color TV (French-English and German channels) and a fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, iron, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge. Comfortable bedrooms and luxury bathroom are provided with a private outdoor terrace with garden furniture and fantastic views.
