Fantastic as always
Reviewed By Matt AGreat location, very good rooms, helpful staff and a pool heated to 26o/c. This is our 2nd visit to this property and it wont be the last. From the second we arrived to the second we left we couldn't fault a single thing. Perfect stay.

Reviewed By TucsonTeeterWe spent 7 nights in room 214. We had a nice view of the garden and the pool. The room had a separate seating/dining, sleeping, and toilet areas. The tub step-in to the tub was a bit difficult, but once inside the shower and tub are adequate. We regretted that we didn't bring wash clothes with us because none were provided. We never used the pool because we heard the water was cold and we could hear the abundance of noisy children from our room. In the seating area, there was a closet and a cupboard with dishes. Another storage area was locked, and we assumed it contained a cooking unit. The room smelled like old fish. The staff was not proficient in English, but we got by. The breakfast room is nice and the meal is included in the room price.

Reviewed By dirkphilips3We stayed for a week in the “gite” (La Maison des Papillons Blues) and found it excellent. The gite is very well equipped with everything you can think of (dishwasher, Nespresso machine, microwave,...) and the WiFi is very good. In the garden, there’s a very good BBQ with all the gear you need. You can join the breakfast and/or dinner with a simple request to the host and the food is delicious, as well as the wine choice. The swimming pool is nice, incl poolbar, but unfortunately the weather wasn’t that good for us to enjoy it fully... The hosts (Caroline and Alexander) are always trying to make sure the guests have an excellent stay and believe me, they succeed!

Reviewed By Susan7757This place was a fantastic discovery. We arrived from England with our dog and we’re very warmly welcomed. The room was very clean and warm. It offered a small kitchenette lovely warm shower. Beautiful comfortable bed and s super location next to a park but walking distance of the town centre. Perfect for us and the dog! We had dinner here last night which was truly outstanding. The chef was a young lady of 29 who deserves a Michelin Star. The quality of the food was outstanding. Local and fresh, beautifully presented and inspirational in its presentation. Breakfast was equally outstanding with a huge selection of local cheeses and hams, croissants, cereal local yogurt, beautiful. Eggs and bacon. My husband was in heaven. We will be back. It has a lovely boutique feel. The owner of the hotel is charming and helpful and although we are passing through this time we will be back. It’s in La Roche- Posay and as most people are aware these skin products are fantastic. I’m assured the local Spa is worth a trip. Good excuse to return ?

Great camping experience
Reviewed By Striker00778Very good campsite. This was our first French camping experience and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Waterpark is a decent size. Indoor pool can get busy in late afternoon but still manageable. Overall play area is relatively expansive for size of site and has multiple sport options like basket ball, table tennis etc.. Food in bar could be a little cheaper and better (esp. the pizzas). Morning bread service very handy. Pitches are a good size and marked out by hedges. Owners could make the Animations for younger kids more varied and engaging though the staff do their best with the resources they have. Campers are mainly from France and Holland with a spattering of English speakers. Overall campsite is relaxed and fun. We had a great 2 week holiday and would consider returning.

Appalling service - strongly avoid!!
Reviewed By Matt AArrived at Residence De Tourisme Croma after departing the UK and driving over 4 hours to this property. On arrival we passed the swimming pools only to see that they were both empty, at that point our 3 young children were extremely upset as I am sure anyone with children can appreciate. What was more frustrating is we had email correspondence from the property only a few days before our arrival to say that the pools would be heated for our stay!! Clearly a lie!! To top this off we had a telephone conversation with the property manager to ask how we weren't advised that they were empty, her response and attitude was completely disgusting. Her answer was you have a bed what more do you want, have a massage or go out on bikes instead. As like most children having a pool is one on the main parts of any holiday. Safe to say we contacted booking.com and cancelled this immediately and thankfully booked an alternative accommodation. I would strongly advise people to avoid this place. We should have acted on the reviews we had read before arriving, if you want to stay in La Roche Posay book to stay at Appart'Hotel La Roche-Posay only a few minutes walk away we have been here a number of times now and its faultless with lovely rooms helpful staff and a pool heated to 26o/c Be warned!!

Good Value for Late Booking
Reviewed By DisabledTravelerI needed somewhere to stay for the night and happened upon this small hotel. I got the room for 52 euros for the night which is really good value. I was originally offered a room upstairs (they have a lift) but then I was told there was an accessible room available on the ground floor. The room was completely accessible with a spacious bathroom. The room was overlooking the garden to the rear which was the main access route from the carpark into the hotel, so was a little noisy at times. Also, there wasn't any curtains on the windows, just net curtains, so when it got dark I felt a bit uneasy as people could easily see into my room from the garden. If I was staying here for more than one night then I probably would of insisted on a room upstairs so that I could get some more privacy, but as it was one night it was fine. Especially as it was really cheap.

Reviewed By FaridTL'appartement où nous avons logé 2 nuits se trouve au rdc de la résidence et donne sur la cour commune. Celle ci est très agréable, on peut s'y poser pour les repas. L'appartement est lui même très fonctionnel et dans un état de propreté irréprochable. L'accueil de l'équipe est très sympa et la proximité avec le centre du village est très pratique (marché, commerces à moins de 5 minutes à marche)
