My husband and I shared a wonderful MLK week-end at the lodge. It's conveniently located about a 10 minute drive from Killington Ski Resort. The lodge is newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Very charming. The staff was friendly. The kitchen was not operating fully due to Covid, but we enjoyed free soup at the end of the day and a drink in the fully stocked bar. The room was lovely and the mattress was comfortable. Would love to go back!

My wife and I stayed here for a night and had a wonderful experience. Owners Mike and Barbara were friendly and inviting from the moment we arrived. Bailey, their westie, was a real sweetheart too. We were treated to an elegant second floor room with a pleasant view of the sprawling wooded wetlands. A mountain brook that rolls down the hillside could be heard just outside our window as we dozed off to sleep. Mike was up early to serve us an expertly prepared breakfast complete with fresh fruit, tasty French toast, and award-winning maple syrup. A big thanks to the hosts for a fantastic stay!

Entire place needs to be gutted & re built

Hoping this message can be transferred to management. My husband & I are RCI owners..we bought a 2 br unit in Oct. 2011. We flew up to stay in a unit April 21-24, 2022 to attend a family event. This was our 1st substantial stay since our purchase. We were allotted room 211, a 1 br unit. To say the least, we were EXTREMELY disappointed in the condition of the interior of the resort since our purchase in 2011. We have paid our maintenance fees religiously & received the budget print out for North Star. The sheet has shown throughout the years where they allocate funds & for various improvements including basic maintenance. Our 1st impression was such that it seemed as though the financial management has clearly decided to pocket the funds people like us religiously pay to use to fund their own accounts verses making the upgrades & repairs required to keep a resort running. My list of failed to dues is long. The only update we could see was the new carpeting in our room. We should receive a refund of all our points used to stay here as well as the cleaning fee of $45 & exchange fee! * 2 out of 4 stove top burners were faulty/did not turn on * at least 4 large major water damage areas on the ceiling in kitchen * refrigerator was so old & dirty..you also could not change inside fridge temp * huge crack from 1 side of sink to the end of inside of sink * no cereal size bowls * corroded paint along entire window sills * broken windows & blinds completely broken, unable to open & close, tape on 1 end of pull string * huge cold draft from windows * bent window frames..looked as if they had been broken into with a crow bar * deck floor unstable & rotting everywhere * jet tub would not allow for jet shut off * there were no USB outlets..serious hazard..no cell charge station! * shower was the size of a stand up tanning booth * coffee table looked like it was about to collapse with serious marks all over it & kids marker drawing on legs * * the coffee pot, toaster & microwave looked like they were the 1990 edition * the towels were big enough for a toddler * same bed linens as we noticed in the 2011 model unit when we purchased * the outside pool deck was falling apart & busted concrete & paint throughout, broken wood in fencing * old carpeting at entrance in in main areas of resort * straps of wall paper falling off wall from maybe the 90s..? * holes in our room & in various areas inside main areas * no automatic door opener @ resort entry

Just Not as Good as It Once Was

Reviewed By BingieBoy

It's a shame. This could be such an outstanding property with just a bit of TLC. An outdoor paint job, updating the existing electrical outlets in the rooms and perhaps adding a few more (lots of gadgets to charge in 2022) instead of only two in a room and reinstalling the shuttle to the mountain would be a start. Our room also needed a new bathroom door since it did not close properly. We understand it's covid, but beginning breakfast at 8 am is just too late for those of us that want to get in a full day of skiing. The positives: Beds and bedding were great. Outdoor heated pool and sauna were very relaxing after a day on the slopes. The restaurant has wonderful food and our bartender/ waitress was excellent.
