A homestay hosted by local family. This is a peaceful and cozy property with mountain, river, valley, town and snow views. This property is sunny and cozy as it is very important here in cold Himalaya. You are provided with traditional style living room, sun/glaze/view balcony and play lounge in common.

Food, rooms , ambience all is just wow. Can't expect such beautiful arrangement made in such remote area. One should go and book their trip in kaza with this hotel. Thanks to karan and his whole team who make stay so pleasant.

I lead wildlife photography expeditions, and I have been in a couple of places in Kibber earlier. Most of my clients are from outside India, and hence, I always made sure that even the smallest things are taken care of, so I Would write it all down to make sure we dont miss anything... even small things like time for cleaning the room every day. This year, being 2022, I went to Tethys and was pleasantly and unequivocally surprised to see a place which fit my requirement to the last detail. Those large clear glass windows showcasing the beautiful snow covered mountains and also some wildlife like the Red Fox and Ibex, warm and spacious sit-out/eating area, nice and spacious and clean rooms with appropriate heating... it was all heaven sent. I did need to call the resident manager - Faizuallah one evening for lighting the fire as it had died out, but other than that, he made sure my participants and me, are all taken care of, rather pampered, fed with all the best food that you can get in -30DegC as we were there in Jan-Feb for the Snow Leopards, our rooms were regularly cleaned and kept warm. He was also available through the day in case we needed some more coffee, some snacks or something to munch on, and was ever ready to try different cuisines. By far the best pizza, pasta, local Spitian food, and the other common Indian dishes, all were on point; not too spicy and not too bland, just about right. Frankly, Im super impressed with this place, its people and their hospitality. Shoutout to Mohit, who was there through out our trip and made sure we were made to feel at home. All the best!!!

Zostel Spiti has the distinction of being Asia's highest backpacker hostel. Top ranked by guests, Zostel Spiti fosters new friendships and helps you explore the majestic Spiti on a budget. With air pure enough to freshen you for a lifetime, SPITI valley rests in Himachal Pradesh at a height ranging from 3800 m to 4270m. Himalayas’ favourite child is still largely untouched by the intricacies of the man-made world. You have to cross one of the world’s highest passes and drive on the world’s most treacherous road and prove your unflinching determination to enjoy what Spiti has to offer. Even though the cold winds are ever flowing, time seems to stand still while you appreciate the wonders of Spiti. An oasis in the cold desert of Spiti, Zostel Spiti offers a comfortable stay in Kaza. After admiring the rising mountains just behind the hostel to your heart’s content, you can cure your tiredness in our dorms, private room, tents and common areas, and mingle with other travelers.
This zostel is the best place to stay in kaza. Amazing location with a volleyball court in front. The best part is you get to meet new people and listen to their adventures which makes you more thrilled and uplift your experience.

Located in the heart of Kaza and surrounded by the stunning Trans Himalayas, Osel rooms is an ideal place for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with family or friends! The rooms in the hotel are well equipped with all the basic amenities, and display mesmerising views of the valley through the windows. Ample parking space is also available. Our warm-hearted staff is always there to help you and to guide you on how to explore Spiti in a better way! The hotel also has an in-house restaurant - Taste of Spiti, which offers a fusion of traditional Spiti food and ingredients with world cuisine. Osel Rooms is run by Spiti Ecosphere, a social organisation working for sustainable development in the valley and responsible tourism. Your stay at Osel rooms helps Ecosphere in supporting various causes and initiatives in Spiti.
This location also owns I believe the Sol Cafe nearby in Kaza. This cafe is based on an eco theme and one can rest there reading magazines and eating good cakes or other sweetmeats and drinking a variety of "green" hot drinks. The Osel rooms where we stayed were sadly a disappointment. Our room had a slight smelt of sewage which was a bit off putting. Food was served exceedingly slowly but was adequate. Breakfast took an age to be served despite being extremely simple fare. There were three "cooks" in the kitchen. Maybe it was getting to the end of the season but we felt it was a let down and have told our Indian tour company of our disappointment.

Our home at the edge of the picturesque village of Pangmo, Spiti offers breathtaking views, delectable local food, and a chance to explore the humble Spitian way of life.
If anybody wants to experience the warmth and hospitality of the pristine Spitian lifestyle then Spiti Sojourn is the perfect place. Far from the hustle-bustle of Kaza, passing through a picturesque landscape, the amazing hosts will welcome you and guide you for an unforgetful stay, with delicious local food and stunning sights. I stayed for a week in Spiti (in June 2019) with my partner and our stay was made priceless because of the warmth and friendliness of the hosts: Namkha, Dikit, Ritika and Abid. They are knowledgable and guide us for our travel in nearby areas to Pangmo. And it is a convenient place for the Spiti circuit too. The room is neat and clean. It has a modern bathroom for the convenience of the guests; despite minimal use of water in the region (as it a dry area). They served authentic Spitian food, but can also serve others like parantha, and bread. But I suggest that one should try the Spitian delicacy and avoid wastage of water. During our stay, they always provide all the necessities, with love and care. We also stayed at Pin Valley in Spiti, but the warmth and affection made our stay at Spiti Sojourn the best. If one loves to explore the raw natural beauty, with Spitian culture then it the place to stay. I was not disappointed, and it was my most memorable stay in the mountains. PS: Like all the Spitian, the hosts care about the environment a lot. So, keep it in mind while staying,

The setup of travellers shed is designed to engage you with other fellow travellers as well, coz the stories we share and hear on the journey are some of the best in our lifespan. Whether you want to tuck in the comfort of your bed-spread, your cuddle in front of a bornfire or simply lie down watching the stars, travellers shed makes it happen for you.
The Travellers Shed made my winter spiti (Feb 2020) the most amazing trip i ever had. This was my first trip with the travel group and i never imagined this would be my most memorable trip. From the beginning, Everything was well organized, They treated me like a friend. Met their amazing team Sahil, Arun and Shantanu before heading spiti. We had a comfortable Volvo bus till shimla. Amazing home stay, hotel, cozy warm rooms, live local music performance in tabo, delicious food, sightseeing, village and market walks. Special thanks to Arun shokeen, who treated me like his family member and organized every single small thing so properly. He was not just an organizer but an avid traveller himself. His love for the mountains are so deep, that he couldn't stop sharing his travel stories and information about places. We met next travel batch in between along with sahil, and so wanted to join them again. We covered all the places because of our Sonam bhaiya who is a very experienced driver from kaza. We stop by in many scenic places in between to click pictures, thanks to sonam bhaiya and arun who never said No to us in any situation. I would highly recommend The Travellers Shed if you want to travel spiti valley or anywhere and get a chance to have a memorable and adventurous trip like I had. Waiting to join them for summer spiti again. Cheers ✌️
