Reviewed By JamesdmdThe Alexander Beach Hotel is simply the best accommodation in Kalamaki if you can get a room! It is so popular with returning people. It is at the quiet end of Kalamaki right on the beach. Komos turtle beach is 10 minutes walk. It is family run by Alexander and Tulla. They create a relaxed and welcoming holiday for you. No pressure. Just unwind. Enjoy the swims at sunrise and sunset. Eat a fabulous breakfast. The rooms are clean and well appointed with balconies and spectacular views. The staff are fabulous. The simple taverna food in the evening is Greek with a daily special and excellent value. They speak English German and Greek. Good wi fi. Deliberately no TV. Friendly people to meet and chat with in the evenings. A very romantic setting for couples. The whole Alexander team are happy and welcoming to make your stay memorable. You can even park easily which is a big plus in Kalamaki. We will be back next year with our family!

Perfect spot for a few nights
Reviewed By MetalTigerGreat location just across the road from a good beach with restaurant. We had two rooms at the rear of the hotel so no view, but much quieter as the road gets busy at night, and the advantage of a private patio garden. Nice friendly staff.

Doreen is situated in the centre of the popular resort of Kalamaki, only 4 Kilometers west of Chania. This superb property occupies an excellent position just 20 meters from the lovely sandy beach, and within easy reach of the supermarkets, tavernas, bars, discos and restaurants and a regular bus service in the area. There is also a mini golf and a tennis club close by. The Doreen suites offer everything one could need for a perfect holiday in the sun.

They spoke entusiastically of Suites Doreen like a wonderful place, very confortable, clean and Stelios, the manager, a very very kind person. I can confirm all! The rest is the peacuful sea and in general the greek atmosphere, the simply and genuine food and a place, Chania, rich of history, tradition.. beutiful. Stefano

Reviewed By xAmaronexFine hotel, clean room, not very large. Good breakfast. Location -> not at the beach but only a short stroll. View from hotel from our room was the parking lot. Not very great but didnt spend much time in the room anyway. Just a simple but clean and fine hotel.

A good place to spend the night witout leaving a fortune
Reviewed By GabiancarolaA simple place to spend the night, do not expect great things, just simple service, good hospitality, clean beds and bathroom, a bottle of raki, a dish with delicious grapes and a lady, Mrs. Maria, available to give you all the suggestions you might need. We spent one night here after spending a whole day in much more expensive Matala, I would definitely do it again, really worth it. Free wi fi too!

Reviewed By DEFE7275I stayed with my 2 children in a triple room. The rooms was rather small but nice ad clean. The balcony was over viewing the street and at time noisy. The bathroom was fine but the shower box small (i am not big). The pool was large and clean and the area around very well kept. The hotel has the resort feeling which is not my style. The clientele was mainly German and the staff spoke better German then english. I was even welcome with a "guten tag"; it is fine when I am in Germany but in Greece I like something more authentic. The best place to stay in Kalamaki.

I, personaly, will ensure that you have a great stay; prepare you breakfast, coffee, cold drinks and freshly-pressed juices. The rooms have everything you need: fridge, an electric hotplate, kitchen utensils, air-conditioning, TV, bathroom. Great place with wonderfull hostess
Reviewed By gabrielaontheroadWe had great time here! The rooms are very clean, cosy and comfy and the hostess running the hotel is amazing warm-hearted with wonderfull smile! You will feel wellcomed and cared for. Kalamaki is in general pleasant calm place with nice beach and good base to explore the area.
