Great Facility but needed for an upgrade for the bathroom

There aren't many five stars hotel located in Kaifeng area and we've stayed at the other one for so many times so we thought it would be great to check this one out. The facility itself is great, all the way from the designs of the hotel, the services, and the restaurants. It is newer and better than the other one. The location itself is nice as well if you are planning to visit the attraction park and the hotel will provide free shuttle service as well. The only thing that we weren't pleased was the room. The room is nice, with all the amenity. However, you couldn't help but notice there is rust everywhere around the bathtub and the water sink areas. One of the local friends told us it's because of the water quality there, but still, with the Pullman Brand, you would except they have done sth better to fix it. The shower head was leaking water everywhere and the water pressure was low. That was the only downside of the hotel to us and we hope there's sth the hotel could have done to fix it.

Reviewed By Valenciataurus777Newly opened hotel in a historical city, located in the vicinity of Xihu lake and new district so the view is quite pleasant, with sparse population and convenient driving path. FOM Cici provided us with really impressive and professional service. However, coffee quality can be improved though, which made me the Starbucks downstairs. Moreover, the shuttle lift from the parking smells~~~ hope you do not mind :)

Magnificent Hotel but
Reviewed By TnC_on_TourThe hotel is about 3K from the centre of "Old" Kaifeng in a largely new business area within walking distance of a large modern shopping mall. The room we had was fine but despite being non-smoking had the distinct obour of cigars. The wall of the shower was mildewed but it wasn't an issue as it was enormous as was the whole room! Outside the hotel has a lakeside walk alongside lotus & lily covered waters which was a really nice way to spend some time in the early evening. The views over the lake from the room were great, The Chinese restaurant was really good with some of the best dumplings we ate on our trip. Breakfast again was really nice with a good mix of western & Chinese food on offer..

A mixed bag
Reviewed By TheOpsDoctorI had a 2 room suite. It was very nice with a very comfortable bed which had more of a Chinese style mattress. The restaurant usually had enough options on the buffet that I could get a 'normal' breakfast. Of course, if you want more of a Chinese style there was a ton of options. The downside is the virtually no staff speak English and seem more pleased with that fact than troubled that they can't help you. Wifi was inconsistent in coverage and speed.

Great location with a great price
Reviewed By CXGTravelerThis hotel is centrally located in Kaifeng, close to the Gulou (translate as "old tower" in Chinese), where the night market is (full of shops and food stands), and it is close to many tourist attraction as well, walking distance if time allows. The hotel itself is clean (I saw them doing a deep clean in the room next to ours one day, disinfection and all). Note that they have mostly smoking room. I believe 5th floor is non-smoking (it has 7 floors). The room is relatively small, equivalent to a motel 6 type of feel, but better though. The bed is good, shower is clean, and breakfast is cheap (22 Yuan, or about US$3) and good (although not as much western items; we love the Chinese offering). They tend to be busier during weekends, compared to weekdays. The receptionists don't speak English, so you may want to prepare something beforehand. (Note to new visitor to China, google does not work in China, they blocked it). I found smaller cities like Kaifeng, non-Chinese speakers may have more trouble; just something to prepare for. Also, they only accept local cards payment (no foreign Visa, Mastercard, AmEx). We had to pay cash. I booked it through booking.com, and they have an option to pay instantly with booking. I should've done that perhaps. Overall, I found this hotel to be a great choices because of location and cleanliness. I do small smokes sometimes in the hotel, but that's probably true to many places in China unfortunately, even in 5 star hotels.

not much to say, but cheap, clean, and well located

It's located only 100 meters from the West gate, with a canal / open sewer right next to it (between the hotel and the gate) that is - unfortunately - so common in China and doesn't seem to shock anyone .... However, in the middle of the night, I was woken up by someone using nails and a hammer (night work is not unusual) that fortunately only lasted the time necessary to drive in a few nails, it seemed. The staff was friendly, though they didn't seem to speak much English if at all. Breakfast was not for westerners: no coffee, no bread, no fruit.

Location is great, price is right, room OK, staff attitude was annoying
Reviewed By 70avaEverything about this hotel is fine - the location is perfect (but if you take the fast train, calculate about 30 minute taxi ride, much more by bus). The price is very reasonable and you get an Ibis style room - do not expect more. However, the staff were annoyoing, shouting, hardly and parience. Luckily we have met people like that in China, so we just waited for the steam to disappear. Book through booking.com but be prepared that they will ask for more as deposit (will rerurn the difference upon checkout).

Nice Hotel For The Price
Reviewed By chrisskates808I was in Shenzhen for the first time during this year of January. They were able to accommodate me because my arrival flight was at 11 PM. Every morning, they offer free breakfast and it was good. They have laundry service to but you need to have Alipay or Wechat Pay because it's a QR Code so they don't take coins. Little far from a train station but I caught the Didi (taxi app in China) and it was very cheap too.
