Quality homely place to stay in Ilha
Reviewed By Masha II've spent almost a month in Ybytu and felt completely at home. It was created by the owner as his own place and you can feel it in the thoughtful details. From furniture in their bungalows to a special stone in the pool which keeps it warm after a sunset. If you're after a quality vibe after your kitesurfing sessions and peaceful nights not disrupted by noisy gatherings, Ybytu is the best choice in Ilha. Also the kite launch is the best compared to other places down the village. Cheerful team did their best to make me feel at home and helped me with all sorts of asks during my stay. I was combining work with kiting and they have 140 mbps fiber connection, as well as aircon in all rooms so you can actually focus when it's melting hot. Food wise definitely try tuna carpaccio, polvo saute and of course maracuja! Can't wait to be back next year ?♀️☀️?

Nice pousada in great location
Reviewed By hotmelinusaThis pousada is slightly away from the main strip of pousadas in Ilha but is actually in the best kite spot for launching, landing and kiting. It is only a 3-min walk from the main strip of pousadas/restaurants. The staff are really friendly, especially the maids who clean the rooms, who aalways say hello, and they work really hard. English is limited so use google translate or learn some basic Portuguese phrases. Nice little pool with day beds and deck chairs to relax in, in between kiting sessions. Rooms are bright, clean and big. Aircon is great and you have a mini fridge. There is no hairdryer in the room, but I did not need one and I am sure they have one at reception you can borrow. Also no safe in the room so just to be aware of. We never had an issue and lef phones and ipads lying around. Would have been nice with a kettle to make coffee/tea in the morning but not a dealbreaker. There are no shops in Ilha so recommend stopping at a supermarket in Itarema to buy any essentials you might need. Itarema is not a place you want to go to often - it’s a 15-min drive from Ilha and the road is full of potholes, so get everything on your way. Breakfast was fine. Don’t expect a usual hotel standard as it is a pousada. Bread, scrambled eggs with either Brazilian sausage or bacon (tasty) along with cheeses, cold meats, yogurt and basic cereal. Usually also local pies (chicken) and sweet cakes and good selection of fresh fruit. On a very positive note, I believe it was the lovely receptionist who helped me and my husband out when we had accidentally left the rental car ownership documents at the pousada. The car rental company said that we would be charged £100 to replace them. We connected them with the pousada receptionist who clearly argued with the rental car guy on the phone and eventually arranged for the documents to be delivered to the car rental the following day in Fortaleza...all for a cost of £11, so thank you so much for that as he was going to charge us. She went above and beyond for us. Super customer service!! The Brazilian hospitality really is so warm and friendly and they will greatly appreciate any Portuguese you can speak-even just single words. There are lockers for kite storage at the back of the pousada, but there is no kite center attached to it. There is one right next door if you need to rent equipment or have lessons. We did not use it so can’t comment. The kiting is great. No water in the lagoon 2 hours either side of low tide, and it can get a little choppy (not much) during high tide. They have pool towels at reception for you to use, just ask. It was our first time in Brazil kiting, and we are definitely coming back next year and will stay in Locanda die Venti again. We stayed in room 207 which was on the first floor and overlooked the restaurant. Can’t wait to come back next year

Reviewed By LeonardusvosIt was my 2nd time here at Erwin and Barbara's place. The first time I enjoyed it so much that I really wanted to show my wife what a Wonderfull place they have built here. If you are the adventurous type who doesn't need airconditionings and swimming pools, but loves outdoor showers, sleeping in tents, hearing nature when you go to bed and wake up, this is the place to go. Erwin and Barbara give you a warm welcome, good home cooked food and make sure that you get to know all the great local spots for kiting. Peter their Kitesurfinstructor guided us through many beautiful downwinders in the surroundings of Ilha de Guajiru. We will be back!

Maybe because it is managed by a German/Brazilian couple who is always attentive on keeping the place perfect at all times. This is not a low level cheap hostel for back-packers. This is a the luxury and relaxing Boutique hotel that you want to book if you like to kite and relax at the same time. Breakfast is amazing with a lot of fresh fruits and eggs (freshly cooked according to your request). You are ON the kite spot... 10 m from the water! The resort Beach Boys prepare and tidy all your material... just fantastic! The best resort we went to on the North coast of Brazil.

It is beautiful, the staff very nice, the cooking good, and 10m away from raising your kite… on an incredible spot and with very helpful staff to help you get on and off the water very quickly, whenever you want. On top of it, the owner is very welcoming, that makes one feel at home very quickly. I am not sure how you can do better! Probably the best place I have been to kitesurf... and I will come back ASAP! To be transparent, think about taking earplugs: the heat and open windows can make the night noisy (either dogs, people talking outside…).

Tasty vegetarian food, delicious bread, and yummy breakfast. The menu is stocked with lots of veggie delights, including hummus and various Indian dishes. I especially enjoyed my upstairs room with a view, but, if you're on a budget, there are also shared dorm rooms available. Super friendly staff, very chill atmosphere, great little bar -- what's not to like? I highly recommend this place!

Reviewed By Alice KWe’ve been staying in pousada for a 5 days, during the kite championship. First of all I want to say that everything is very clean and organized there, but that’s not the point why you all need stay there. The owner Stella is an artist, who’s been represented even in Paris. Her art works are everywhere in pousada and her great taste you can feel in every little detail. Her husband Gabriely is a great kite instructor, probably the best in Ilha do Guajiru, I’m telling not as a student but as a person who works with kites too. Breakfast is perfect - all natural, no sugar added everywhere, fruits , eggs , and anything ealse you may like. We also had a dinner there - gnocchi were very tasty, as well as pasta and tuna was insanely good. So even if you are not staying there dinner there worth it so much . There is really quite and safe. You can do yoga or anther sport in the big yard. Internet connection is good. Honestly everything is perfect and with a lot of care and art. And right in front of the sea!

Comfortable, relaxed and welcoming pousada in Ilha do Guajiru
Reviewed By Lotte ASecond time we are back in 4 years, the place and spot has grown but not out-grown the natural limitations. I think it is important to understand what Ilha Do Guajiru is and is not, since it also applies to this lovely Pousada. It is a kite spot, it is full of people who kite well and who are learning, they are all on the water the few hours a day that the tide and wind allows, it is down to earth and moves at a slow pace. I is not a luxury resort, Michelin star eating or service or a massive flat water area with one of two kiters on. So depending on what you are looking for either visit or don't visit IdG ....but if you do, I can warmly recommend this pousada - can't wait to go back in November.
