Do Not Book on Hotels.com!!!!!!

Reviewed By DaveG99fl

I booked 3 nights for 4 people on hotels.com for memorial day weekend. I trailored a boat down 7 hours from clearwater Fl. When we arrived our reservation was non existent. Called hotels.com and they didnt do anything except give us a $250 gift certificate. Not sure who messed up but it was either the hotel or hotels.com. sucks when you arrive and your reservation doesn't exist. We ended up getting a room that had 1 bed and a sofa bed for 2 nights then we had to switch rooms into a twin double bed room for the 3rd night. The hotel gave us 1 free night. They worked with us but we spent 3 hours on the phone and in the office trying to figure it out. Not exactly what you want on vacation. The hotel was nice though but what a horrible experience checking in. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE ON HOTELS.COM

Nice room. Nice staff. Amenities not great

It was enjoyable but they don't have 2 restaurants, no room service, called their restaurant to make an order 5xs & nobody answered. Receptionist sd their busy. Walk up there. It wasn't. Pina colada tasted like iced Bacardi. Room was nice & our porch. For the price it was adequate. Probably won't stay there again.

Great find in Islamorada

We were staying in a nearby property. Our friends mentioned they booked this hotel for a weekend on July. We stopped by to check it out. The property is pretty and the lobby and bar area are very nice. We booked the same weekend as our friends. We also hung out at the bar with Justine, who was a wonderful bartender, to watch the basketball game and had a great time. Highly recommend this resort…

Very nice small and relaxing place

We stayed here in March for a night on our way to key west. Very nice small place that was clean and very quiet and relaxing. Off the road and walkable to places to eat and have a drink. We stayed up by the front but was a nice quick walk to pool and the view of the water. Greeted us with a cold beverage and gave us a place to go eat while our room was getting ready! We would stay there again.

had a great experience with check in and ended up with an awesome full ocean view. little leary on some of the reviews but found them to be not that credible. besides, who spends that much time in the room anyways... (floors were not dirty, pattern in the wood grain). only complaint is that it turned into little Havana on the weekend. alot of people hanging at the pool and using the docks and beach area that were not guests along with taking up a bunch of parking and leaving the registered guests to park up near the street. guess that's why most resorts have wristbands and security. besides that we had a great stay and used the room to shower and sleep like most do while on vacation.

Deteriorated facilities, bad experiences (missing or non-working items, poor housekeeping), lack of staff response

Reviewed By Pathfinder500335

Our room had a non-working phone (we couldn't even communicate with the Front Desk) and was missing the lock on the sliding door to the balcony. The person from Engineering/Maintenance said he would try to get a working phone and a new lock but came back and said none were available; I requested that they put a piece of wood to block the sliding door and, after measuring, came back with a piece that was too long for the space. In addition, the balcony was not clean (something had been spilled and the floor was sticky); I asked if Housekeeping could come to clean it but no one came. Furthermore, the room was located right above the Tiki Bar where loud music played until after 10 PM and afterwards several people stuck around in the benches below our room talking loudly until after 11:30 PM. we requested to be changed to a ground floor room away from the bar; we were told we were getting what we asked for but were given a 2nd floor room (#525) in Building 500; when we got to the room, the phone there did not work either. Neither the Front Desk staff or you were able to accommodate our request for a ground floor room. We were advised on Thursday afternoon at 4:07 PM that all outdoor bars and restaurants would be closed all day Friday (which would have been the last day of our 2-night stay) due to weather. We cut short our stay and checked out at 5 PM on Thursday afternoon. Attendant at Front Desk said I didn't have to sign anything but we would be charged for the 2nd night.

Don't waste your time.

Reviewed By BARBARA S

Don't waste your time and money here. After looking for months for something that would fit our group, this is what I ended up with but with trepidation, even online. Getting there was awful due to a lot of traffic. Finding a place to eat was awful. They gave us a place with steep stairs to climb to the bedrooms (that is not what I had reserved; they changed our reservation without notifying me). The rate is ridiculous. Don't waste your time or money here; not worth it.
