Urban resort hotel surrounded by the sea; on site restaurant featuring French & Asian cuisine; theatres & shopping within 1 mile. Parking: 11
Comfortable, pretty-well-appointed bedrooms. Quality soaps which left skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Huge TV with pre-dedicated channels for Netflix and YouTube. Handy variety of charging/hooking-up adapters for various USB/etc dependent gadgets. Room had a nice balcony + chairs looking out over a section of the harbour toward the Harborland Mosaic restaurant and boutique complex. Ample selection of international / Japanese items on breakfast buffet menu in a large set of rooms generally looking out over the harbour. Staff pleasant, courteous and efficient. Not quite as prestigious or ritzy, perhaps, as the nearby Hotel Okura (have been lucky enough to stay at both), but a more lively and cosmopolitan feel. The spacious central atrium also gives it a lighter and airier atmosphere. You can book and take a 2-hour + evening dinner cruise around Kobe 'bay' at the terminal one floor down from the hotel lobby, although you can book a similar type of cruise from the terminal at the Mosaic complex a short walk away. Kobe Port Tower is a very short walk from the hotel entrance. Finally, at any time of year, but especially from late spring through autumn (I would imagine; I visited in early December), the Nunobiki Herb Gardens and Ropeway are really worth a visit -more so, perhaps, than anything else in Kobe. Take the hotel's free shuttle bus up to the shinkansen (bullet-train) station and follow the signs for the cable car (about a five-minute walk). Take the cable car all the way to the top (past the intermediate stop) and stroll down a wonderful winding path past all manner of fragrant herbs and flowers, with mountain views over Kobe, the sea, and beyond... There are plenty of play areas for children (who basically have plenty of fun just running down the slopes), and quite a few hammocks laid out where you can sunbathe and snooze -a treat in the early winter sunshine, before twisting yourself inside out as you try to get out of the hammock and you suddenly find yourself on the ground.

Spend three nights here to visit Kobe and the environment. Location is great, facing the harbor with a short walk to the city center. The hotel itself is a bit dated, hallway carpets have stains everywhere. Rooms are quiet and somewhat oldstyle. There’s a minibar with hardly anything in it. Bed is rockhard and the draperies must be ages old looking at the stains. Aircon is really quiet and works well. Slippers but no bathrobes in the closet. Biggest disappointment is that they make you pay for all the extras. We wanted to use the outdoor pool for a short swim, but they charge you 1600 ¥ per person (and no one harmony discount, as others claim!). Must be one of the better hotels in Kobe, but will probably try another place next time.

Found a good deal for this hotel to include New Years Eve. Very easy walk from Sannomiya east exit.Look for McDonalds…walk in front of it and turn right.Walk straight until you see Family Mart on the corner…the hotel is next door! There are 3 convenience stores within 50 meters of the hotel.Double room was small for 2 with the bed against the wall but comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel has closed so no breakfast plan. Would stay again if the price were right!

Hotel Monterey Kobe offers a glimpse into the architecture and atmosphere of medieval-era Italy. The hotel recreates the Romanesque character of a Northern Italian castle through its use of flagstones and arched colonnades. We invite you to rest in the comfortable sofas in the lobby area to cure your initial travel weariness. Then take a stroll through the courtyard where you can wander through the colonnades to the sound of flowing water from the fountains, helping to calm your spirit and evoke sentimental feelings of nostalgia.

Located a minute's walk from Sannomiya Station, the b kobe is a short walk from Ikuta Shrine, famous for its prayers and marriages. There are 13 stores on the basement 1st floor and 2nd floor lobby level, including a popular Kobe beef steakhouse which is a standalone store that cannot be reserved in advance. There is also a restaurant that offers an Italian buffet breakfast, a sports gym, hot yoga, hair salon, and a place for English conversation lessons, all of which help ensure a fulfilling stay.
Very good quality for a night or two in Kobe. It’s right on the famous street and there are delicious Kobe beef right across the street. Very convenient to go to anywhere in Kobe, like Kobe Port Tower, Kobe station, etc.

The Kobe Sannomiya Union Hotel is an inexpensive hotel prideful with a smiling staff loving in Kobe. It is a 2-minute walk to a convenience store nearby. , The rooms are not spacious, but you can walk from Sannomiya Station, the popular Chinatown and shopping districts. The homepage corresponds to English, Chinese, Korean. Because the hotel is 20 stories high, the view of the higher floors is wonderful. Japanese, Western, and vegetable dishes are served at the hotel's breakfast buffet. Delicious coffee is very recommended. There are also many drinks such as juice and Matcha Latte. (Examples of buffet dishes: salad bar (kind of dressing) · ham · sausage· bread · fried chicken · fried potato · miso soupe · rice · curry · fruit · cornflakes · yogurt) Nearby there are Chinese restaurants, Korean restaurants, curry rice specialty stores and so on. Actualy,Accommodation expenses vary by day, but vacant days are very cheap. Please come to the Kobe Sannomiya Union Hotel by all means.
Nice hotel for the Price, but could improve on cleanliness. Check in / Check out was easy, not a bad location away from the station, but not to far. Cheap and Cheerful hotel, nothing to write home about (although i am writing about it here)

The hotel is a bit outside the city of Kobe but it has nice surroundings with parks etc. Friendly staff but noone speaks proper English so all communication was pretty difficult. Had a nice meal at the restaurant, and the price on one of them was reasonable. They also have a restaurant with crazy prices. Did not try that one. The room is very nice and the bed gave very good sleeping quality. Was a bit dissappointed that they only offered late checkout til 01:30 PM. As Titanium member I usually get a check out at 4 PM but I guess it was a questions about aviability, even if I hardly noticed other guests at the hotel. The price is reasinable but I think I will choose another hotel next time.

The hotel is steps away from Himeji Station. I found the staff members helpful and the hotel super clean. My room was quite big by Japanese standards, and the onsite onsen was fantastic after travelling all day. At night, there is free ramen in the restaurant area. I would definitely stay there again.
