This was our first time at The ELVETHAM and the location and setting was perfect. Crisp white table clothes, elegant flowers and Manjot and her team looked after us in a friendly attentive manner. The champagne was delicious and finger sandwiches, scones, and delicate cakes were ample and very tasty. There was an excellent choice of teas and the whole experience was first class. Mr Hammeed was gracious and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend a visit and look forward to going along to the Sylvanus Restaurant for dinner or at lunchtime. I would advise to book in advance and thank you for a truly memorable afternooon.

From arrival to departure Hook House was a great place to stay. Wonderful welcome, after a long journey, enhanced by tea in the garden. It was the most relaxing place we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot. It was more like being the guests of good friends and a welcome change from the cold, sterile atmosphere of large hotel chains. The food is delicious and the lounges, dining areas and gardens complete this wonderful package and all at a very reasonable price.

At less than two miles from our home, but still we felt we were away in the country, the grounds are lovely, food was good, and staff were helpful. The building is a bit tired, but our room was clean and service was good. It was a quiet peaceful stay exactly what we wanted.

The White Hart pub is depressing, low key and scruffy. Outside are many ugly billboards with all kinds of desperate offers including cheap meals for kids after school! Clearly desperate for any clientele. The interior hasn't been upgraded for years by the looks, the so-called dining room was a small, dreary room with sticky tables wedged together with beer mats. The menu was on a generic printed card and clearly the same in all the Mitchell Butler pubs - i.e. delivered frozen and heated up. Awful choice of basically junk food. Plus no table service - had to order at bar. There were many TVs and we were told the football would be on all of them including the dining room all night! The White Hart is the pub in front of the Innkeepers Lodge. EXTREMELY CONFUSING on Booking.com! in all follow up emails they come from Innkeepers. The photos of bedrooms online make you think you are booking a nice, characterful country pub - WRONG! If I had seen pictures of the pub inside and out I would never have booked. Very expensive for a low key, scruffy venue. I advise the Red Lion at Odiham if you want a pleasant and classy experience!

Bel & The Dragon Odiham offers fifteen beautifully appointed bedrooms styled exclusively in Bel & The Dragon's distinctive cosy and classic manner by interior designer Nicola Harding. Think crisp linens, soothing earthy and natural shades and stylishly original decor.
We booked into the Bel and The Dragon for 2 nights for work. We travel away with work a lot and there is a tendancy to just "take what you get' and look forward to going home.... well this fabulous pub has changed our minds. From check in to departure we were treated so well. The rooms are outstanding... immaculate and comfy a really high standard. Artisan teas and coffees and even a cheeky little alcoholic beverage on the house. I was pleasantly surprised. First night we thought we would eat in the restaurant - let me tell you if you are here you have to eat in the restaurant. The staff were friendly attentive and great fun. The food that the kitchen delivered was outstanding and of such a high standard and quality, we ate there on night two and again the same high standard, we had nothing to complain about - it was perfect. Thankyou to the team at the Bel and the Dragon - you obvioulsy enjoy what you do and that shines through in the way that you treat the customers... you have restored our faith in hospitality and if we travel back again please may we have the Jasmine Room :)

We had the most incredible night at The Wellington Armes celebrating our wedding anniversary. The venue was beautiful ,the staff were incredible, nothing was to much trouble and the food was AMAZING we chose the BBQ option and was so glad we did the meats and vegetarian options were delicious and the salads were beautiful. The venue was fantastic for the entertainment we had , a band and a disco and the dance floor was a great size. The guests were blown away by the whole evening and so were we . Would highly recommend this venue , we had the very best night ever . I

The property is situated off B3349 Reading Road, it takes 10 minutes walk to A30 London Road. Less than 10 minutes drive from M3 juntion 5. All rooms are en-suite with free view television, tea/coffee tray, mini fridge, ironing facilities, free wifi, off street parking. Guest rooms had been renovated since 2015.
Good value for money. The guest accommodation is in a separate annexe, away from the owner’s home. I think that we counted 11 guest rooms, (but it might have been 7, but the number definitely ended in “even” !!). I suspect that each room is either double or twin. Our double room was large, clean and recently refurbished. Furniture was functional rather than luxurious - but that was what we needed and was appropriate for the price that we paid. It had a really good, modern en-suite shower room, a fridge and double glazed windows. The corridor between the rooms could do with some updating – but it does look like the owners have an updating plan in place. Breakfast was a relaxing self-service in a communal kitchenette with cereals, bread/toast, yoghurts, muffins, fresh fruit, teas and coffees. There were 2 smallish tables for guests. That said, I suspect breakfast can be eaten in one’s room, (although any takeaway meals need to be eaten in the kitchenette). There is a large, gravelled parking area. It was a very quiet stay – but I suspect that we were the only ones there! Would be suitable accommodation for a large gathering eg extended family or wedding guests.
