Unser Restaurantbesuch war leider ein Reinfall
Reviewed By Rolf Gerhard KWir waren schon einige Male im Herz3 und sind geteilter Meinung. Einmal war es ganz gut, aber der letzte Aufenthalt war für die gesamte Gruppe ein Reinfall. Die Bedienung war nicht gut, Pizza gab es überhaupt keine mehr, was vor allem die Kinder enttäuschte. Das Carpaccio war zäh und der Fisch war geschmacklos und nicht der, der angeboten wurde. Man muss aber erwähnen, dass der Koch sich aufrichtig entschuldigt hat. Ein italienischer Koch kann eben nur seine Pizza und Pasta gut. Wir werden voraussichtlich nicht mehr kommen.

The Erholungshotel Kaltenhauser is found between the National Park Hohe Tauern and the world famous Ski-Resort of Kitzbuhel. In December 2012 the hotel reopened for its valuable customers, after undergoing a major renovation. Choose from tastefully decorated Standard Rooms to state of the art Deluxe Rooms and Suites. The Deluxe Rooms offer a specious bath with tub and a XL-walk in shower, seperated toilets, HDTV-flatscreens (40"), and a furnished balcony. After Hiking in summer or skiing in Winter one can relax at the heated indoor pool (5m x 10m) or in one of the saunas.
Quiet and comfortable
Reviewed By cbernchnyThis hotel combines a rustic atmosphere with most of the amenities of a modern resort. People come here for peace and quiet - there is very little activity in the surrounding village and absolutely no nightlife. The hotel does not have A/C, but we never felt the need, and the balcony doors let plenty of fresh air in at night. (When our friends’ room got too hot in the afternoon, the staff was happy to move them to our side of the building.) The rainfall shower head in the bathroom has perfect water pressure and will truly revive you after a long flight or a day of hiking Pihapper. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, with a nice buffet selection at breakfast and three entree options for dinner. Just beware of the flies - they’re everywhere due to cattle in the region and pester you nonstop at dinner. The laundry service is great - 20€ to bulk wash and dry a full load of laundry. With the exception of one server at dinner who had a bit of an attitude, the hotel staff was welcoming and attentive. For hikers and others staying in this remote valley region, this hotel is a nice choice.

Reviewed By Peter LVery cozy place with incredibly friendly hosts. We felt welcome from before our arrival. The apartment is high quality with washing machine, super nice bathroom and importantly: spotlessly clean. Breakfast is plentiful and varied and the 1/2 pension is arranged with local cozy restaurant. Close to lift that connects to the entire KitzAlps area. As frequent travelers and Airbnb hosts, we highly recommend this place.

Pure relaxation at Gutshof Klausenstein
Reviewed By ErikLoewerSpent 2 amazing weeks at Gutshof Klausenstein with friends. The location is amazing for everything outdoors - hiking, biking, skiing, paragliding. There’s a lovely farm shop 5min by foot and a restaurant 20min by foot. Everything else you might need down in The valley. The apartments couldn’t be better: modern and private, spacious rooms with a private bathroom each, big living room with a well equipped kitchen, sauna and a sunny terrace with a beautiful view. Simply amazing. Barbara and Johann are super friendly hosts that make you feel at home. Really feels like you’re part of the family - learning about plants from the grandmother, helping the grandfather out by milking cows in the stalls or playing table tennis with their lovely children. Will definitely visit again!

Perfec location to explore Pinzgau
Reviewed By Hans KSaturday, 5 September 2015 Haus Renswouw Hollersbach Austria The room on the second floor was spacious with a sunny balcony and good views to the mountains. Breakfast was sumptuous continental type served in the dining room. The Wi-Fi in the room is good for keeping in touch and to get details on the many opportunities offered. The owner was very helpful in many ways to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She also provided us with a free “Hohe Tauern Pass” which gave us among many other offers, free access to the Hohe Tauern Welten exhibition at Mittersill, a free pass along the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse and a 30 minute chairlift ride at Hollersbach up to a 1800m high mountain for easy alpine walking and for glorious views of the Salzach Valley including Austria’s highest mountain, the Grossglockner. We stayed here for four nights in August. Hollersbach is in an ideal location for shopping at Mittersill, exploring the beautiful valleys of Obersulzbachtal, Untersulzbachtal, Hollersbachtal and Habachtal and walking alongside Europe’s highest waterfalls at Krimml. It is easily reached from Germany via a low pass across the northern mountains and is a gateway to Italy via the Felbertauern Tunnel across the southern mountains. The best dining is at the Sahnealm a short drive up the side of the mountain affording glorious views of the Salzach valley below. The menu is long with many traditional delicious Austrian dishes, including roast pork with sauerkraut and dumplings. It is suggested to stay for a week in autumn to get a good Pinzgau feeling. The weather is more stable, good for outdoor activities. The roads are less crowded for easy driving.

Very good place to stay with family
Reviewed By RimasDNice room, nice sauna area. Good location next to skibus. 5 min by bus to Panorama ski lift. Village is small nothing to do in the evening. All the rest us perfect. For skiing this part of ski resort is better than Kirzbuhel. Not so crowded, new ski lifts. Owners of the house very friendly.

Best value for money in the valley
Reviewed By Handrich2014As this small family run hotel building is just little over a decade old all is still new and modern and the spacious rooms and bathrooms have large balconies attached to them offering nice views of the surrounding mountains due to its quiet location on the edge of the small village of Hollersbach. I could park my bike safely in the vast purpose built bike/ski cellar room with direct access from outside. Breakfast had been also good with a chance for a small talk with another nice elderly guest couple from Switzerland and the landlady herself.

Super Apartments ( wir haben 3 Kinder) und vor allem eine tolle Gastgeberin die sich um alles kümmert. Slles super sauber. Ski und Trockenraum und nur 3 Min. zu Fuß zur Gondel und eine Sauna mit Top Aussicht. Was will man mehr...
