Room decor a little quirky/kitschy (like lobby and bistro) but definitely nice and functional, except the very uncomfortable desk chair. Nice and cosy lobby. Good breakfast, wide choice, served in the relaxed and welcoming bistro restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Cleaning in room, bathroom and restaurant could have been better. Great staff except breakfast staff who was not particularly welcoming. Check nearby 1959 Gelateria for 1st class Italian Ice Cream.

Reviewed By 843joer843First time in this hotel, normally stay in a hotel next to the train station. Was more than happy, breakfast was great with lots of options. Rooms were very smart, although I would of like to make the room a little colder, but I get the environmental aspect of the control

Beauty without Substance
Reviewed By Zetters48We stayed at the Clarion Sea U, Helsingborg between 10th April 2022 to the 14th of April 2022 for our 17th wedding anniversary. This hotel claims to be a four-to-five-star hotel, but we found the service and particularly the management of the running of this hotel sadly lacking. One of our primary concerns was the lack of transparency and clarity of our room at point of purchase. We booked a Superior Double, but when we asked for a sea view, we were told we had to pay a reservation fee. When we challenged this, the goal post was changed to - we must upgrade. The room was advertised with photos of sea views! Rooms were a good size, bed on the softer side. Breakfast was good, offering a wide variety but cold platters were sometimes tired, and the quality of some hot items not great. Dinner at The Living Room, was our poorest experience, as there was insufficient staff, queues for drinks at the bar, with just a few people. The serving staff did try their best but this is a management issue. Some staff were so distress that we had to comfort them! After our experience, we decided not to eat at Ama, their signature restaurant. We even had difficulty getting our itemized bills! This is not about getting a room with a sea view. This is about transparency at point of purchase. Finally, about star rating: people need to get what they pay for. That’s integrity in business. If you market yourself as a four-star hotel, one should provide four-star service, not just a beautiful building.

An Excellent Hotel with Quirky Character
Reviewed By DrewDenmeadThe hotel is not your usual type with very different styling. But the rooms are great and the staff ever so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They were very friendly and didn't expect us to speak Swedish (which was just as well). It was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Free coffee and biscuits/croissants available in the bar/reception throughout the day. It has a great, really old lift! The only downside was on Friday and Saturday night, they had a DJ and it was noisy, but as our room was out of the way we didn't notice. So if you want quiet ask for a room out the back. Note: there were no drawers in rooms and minimal hanging space.

I was visiting Helsingborg for Business reason and I choose Moelberg for the postion. I was suprised by the spacious room, beautiful and tasty breakfast room and of course by the kindness of the personell. Best in town in my opinion ( I also visited other hotels in the area but they are not at the same level). Totally recommended!! Paolo ( visited from may 1st to may 14th)

Unfriendly staff and uncomfortable…
Reviewed By JoakimSVDuring the weekend a hang out place for youth, making a lot of noise and disturbance during the night. Some of the staff very unfriendly and not customer focussed. In triple rooms the bedsofas are terrible and you can better sleep on the ground. Also watch out when you book via booking.com, the price looks cheap, but the hotel itself will contact you afterwards and want to charge you a higher rate….

Reviewed By PfcorsicaReally nice hotel with big rooms and perfect location if you come by train. If you come by car you have to park at the train station. Room very clean and good surface. The breakfast was nice and with a lot of choices. The room is really big with nice view.

Reviewed By elapin129971I liked the hotel very much. The staff was very helpful and nice. There is a nice swimming pool, sauna and the gym. The breakfast was perfect. Plenty of choice of the food and it was delicious as well. I will come there again.

Good hotel with friendly personel
Reviewed By robwM2379OZI recommend staying at this hotel when you go to Helsingborg. The rooms are nice and big, the personnel is friendly, pleasant, and very helpful. The breakfast was good and extensive enough. The hotel is located on walking distance from the train station (only 10 minutes) and is the starting point to sightseeing Helsingborg.

The hotel is cozy and nice in its old and still great style and design. Dinner at K&T was very nice ? and the breakfast was actually the best surprise with fresh squeezed orange juice (i simply love that and rate hotel 5* just on that small detail). Only one problem during the stay, the sound isolation is very bad (especially the windows) and they should be fixed ASAP. We had a discotheque on the opposite of our room which made sleep quality very poor …
