We stayed next to the dam pump. Which meant that there were intermittent, high pitched electrical noises throughout the day. This carried on at night and kept us awake- which was infuriating. Aside for this we enjoyed our stay and would gladly go again.

Went in October with my friends from the U.K. after being postponed 4 times due to Covid. It was amazing to be in this slice of paradise. All the staff are amazing so friendly. It’s great to be sat in the beautiful gardens or in the restaurant looking at the beautiful scenery seeing all the animals walking past. It’s one of my favourite places, already booked for my birthday in August.

My wife and I spent Friday and Saturday night here. Place is very neat and well kept. Bed was very bouncy and the pillows were so hard one would be injured if you had a pillow fight! Did not make for a good nights sleep. We stayed in the penthouse so am not sure about the pillows in the other rooms, but other than that the breakfast was good with the normal fruits, cereals, bacon and eggs etc. Very neat, large grounds with a good size pool and braai area. Nice view over the dam and we enjoyed our stay here, except for the pillows!

Booked a birthday weekend for my family at this beautiful hotel and Spa well-positioned as we wanted to explore Hartbeespoort with our 1 year old. Firstly, not even the front Lady noticed we checked in on my birthday and felt the need to make an observation on it but that issue aside, there were both hits and misses, though more of the latter as I would like to detail below. First, to the misses. Upon arrival, there are stairs that lead up to the reception area and no ramp for easy access. We checked in on a raining night and could not be assisted with an umbrella and the stairs did not make moving our wheeled luggages any better. Mind you, we did so carrying our 1 year old on us without any assistance from the main desk. A ramp also makes it easier for wheelchair access. The parking area is located at a significantly far distance from the rooms although a positive there is the shaded parking that's available, protecting cars from rain or hail. It's a long walk from the parking lot to Room 66 for instance. We did not sign any register whatsoever upon us getting to the entrance by the security boom gate, which we felt served as a safety concern. No temperature check was ever done on us upon either entering or exiting. Hand sanitizers are available but not a lot, I struggled to locate one at the restaurant through I later found two of them when I looked closely. An easier access and signage for these especially as a result of Covid-19 would come in handy. The room was simple nice and cozy, though with an odd layout. The coffee station is found inside the wardrobe for instance. Room needed maintenance, from the ceiling that appeared to be coming apart to the entrance at the bottom of the toilet and shower area to be specific. We specified that we're coming with a one year old upon booking. There is literally nothing that the hotel did to accommodate our little one except for a larger bed. Upon arrival, we were told no room comes with a bath tub as we enquired so we had to use the shower and small basin for our little one. We should have brought our baby bathing dish from home to make things easier for us. At breakfast, which was very basic and nothing to write home about, no high chair for our little one was available. We had to eat while holding him on our laps each time we were at the restaurant. I must add that the kitchen manager on duty attended to our request to make a fruit salad, for our little one with which we appreciated. Overall the restaurant staff service is also not the best. To some positives now. The hotel comes with a lot of rooms, 66 in total so there is variety and the hotel seems busy. There is a games room and Lapa/Bona area, ideal for larger groups to connect and engage. Hotel is neat, beautiful with lawns and pool which are well kept. The hotel does try to accommodate children with having playing toys and I saw a jumping castle available. A twin plug was available in the room, together with an extra blanket, working air1con, clean, fresh towels and limited satellite TV. There is a spa nearby, which we did not make use of, and a shuttle service is provided from the hotel which serves as a plus. WiFi during our stay did not work at all. Food in the restaurant is okay but needs to improve in terms of taste and variety on offer both for breakfast and dinner options. The biggest change I would immediately implement is having a registry for each car coming into the hotel from the entrance at the security boom gate point and prioritizing Covid-19 precautions at the hotel by screening guests, enforcing the wearing of masks and having hand sanitizers easily available at dedicated points, which are visible around the hotel, and not just at the entrance by the reception. Hotel is ideally placed for exploring the gem that is Harties but our stay overall, not very memorable.

We stayed in a lovely and spacious cottage. It had a homely feel. Everything we needed was there. It is close to the venues we needed to go to. We wished we could stay longer. I will definitely recommend it.
