7 of us came for a birthday celebration here on a Sunday and it was a great experience. Starters to mains were all tasty, the service was friendly and professional. The roasts are one of the best we’ve had in while, in fact that’s the reason i returned as i came last year for a Sunday roast and wanted my family to experience it this time. The roasts were well cooked and a huge plateful, I had the chicken and ham pie which was tasty and a great extra serving of cauliflower cheese. Highly recommended. Great location too.

The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel is an imposing and historic building situated in the heart of Godalming, a pretty market town with an array of independent shops as well as more familiar brands; our hotel rooms are diverse and befitting of our age and history; our Inn was refurbished in April 2022 and serves some marvelous local real ales as well as a wide and premium range of wines, spirits and soft drinks; our menu is based on British classics. We have a small outside patio and enclosed beer garden. Families very welcome. Free but very limited parking at the rear (there are several pay and display car parks within minutes of the hotel).
For years, this wonderful building in a prime location seemed like a missed opportunity. But thanks to the recent refurbishment that's all in the past. This is a now a great place to stay, eat or just have a quick coffee, with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. We loved the decor with all the old pictures of the town and the light lunch we ordered was well-prepared, tasty and quickly brought to our table. We will certainly be going back and although, as local residents, we won't be staying in the hotel we will certainly be recommending it to visiting friends and family if our bedrooms at home are full up.

Already established as a much loved local, known for crafted cocktails, locally sourced wine and carefully curated craft & draught beers, the Rose & Crown, in the very heart of the Surrey countryside, is now extending their hospitality to overnight stays. With that perfectly cozy “proper” pub setting and the most fabulous of Miami-themed beer gardens, the pub already hits the sweet spot when it comes to whiling away lazy days and nights with family and friends. With the opportunity to now indulge in a sleepover, let the fun and games continue. The rooms have been created with families in mind... think bunk rooms, baby monitors and extra beds... each charismatic and cozy option has a full en-suite and all the creature comforts required. A proper pantry breakfast is thrown in to start your day right, before exploring the local countryside, including the rather glam Godalming just steps away.
Lovely stay in a well equipped family room We booked to stay as a family of four on boxing stay whilst visiting family. We were greeted warmly by Kevin and shown to our large family room with bunk beds. Our King size bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. Breakfast included in the price which we all enjoyed. Overall it was great value for money and a great location in the centre of Godalming

Wake up by the water at the Premier Inn Hotel Godalming. From this characterful old building right beside the River Wey, you could watch the world drift by, hire a narrow boat for the day, or head off refreshed for a meeting at the key local business destinations. And if messing about in boats isn't your thing, why not explore Godalming's historic town centre, play a round at Broadwater Golf Course or celebrate that special occasion at the lovely Loseley House? Then kick back in our tasty restaurant and extra-comfy beds.
For such a lovely location on the river, this hotel was a disappointment. Felt and looked tired. Couple of lovely friendly staff but most clearly didn’t want to be there. Tables left for ages with dirty plates etc. Not the usual Prem Inn experience.

Now under owner management, we have made lots of great changes including offering a breakfast menu, deep cleaned all of the rooms and pub/restaurant made staff changes and spent a lot of time and effort in the gardens and grounds. In the summer our extensive, child friendly garden and outside dining areas comes into thier own...a perfect setting for a family gathering or a quiet peruse of the papers. All rooms come equipped with flat screen TV’s, DVD players and tea/coffee making facilities and are ideal for those on business, leisure weekends or just visiting family or friends.
Not great I understand this pub is trying to recover from lockdown. And is under new management I don’t normally leave negative reviews ever But I’ve visited here twice and I must say It could be so much better friendly management owned it …. Not managers that just want the business I’ve visited on a Saturday nite. , Place was dead Food over priced. Drinks over priced Plus the worst of it is they load a tip on top of your bill !!! Some discretionary fee !!!!! Not good if you want to tip for food service you will Visited again on bank holiday weekend. Again place dead Choice of table again Forced to reserve one. Rather than. Drink outside at our leisure and maybe eat or maybe ? not Had a drink in run down garden. Up loads of steps Saw some people have sandwiches bought out which looked nice. We inside to our. Reserved table ! To be shown only the pricey dinner menu Asked for the bar menu the manageress. Rolled her eyes and went to get it After looking at the £10 per sandwich option We did choose from the dinner menu reluctantly Kept getting asked if we wanted more drinks. Plus starters also. Very pushy and desperate I felt Meal was ok For a roast too much veg Asked if we wanted puddings again We declined and asked for bill Shocked of see the extra charge on there again …. Felt we had to pay it As the management very. Snobby not friendly at all. Just hope all that extra they make on the price. Goes to the waitress’s. A little tip. For how to run a better business. As my daughter ran her own very successful hotel all through lock down. ( she did a reasonable rate takeaway service ) Don’t over charge Don’t put. A surcharge on the bill Don’t be pushy Don’t ask which or what size wine. It’s embarrassing and don’t serve flat warm lemonade and charge top dollar And a smile ? wouldn’t go a miss I hope you make a success. As this could be a nice pub Quiet as it’s off the road But could be really nice If they stopped focusing on what people are spending.

An idyllic country Inn nestled in the corner of the picturesque Chiddingfold village green. Olde world charm sympathetically blended with sophisticated & contemporary decor to create 8 exquisite bedrooms. A cosy bar with inglenook fireplace and restaurant serving both à la carte and bar menus. Delicious food and a warm friendly atmosphere, the perfect place to totally relax. The Crown is an AA 5 Star Inn which has been recently awarded Highly Commended status.
Beautiful building in a lovely setting in a picturesque village. Staff very helpful - even to the extent of helping us with placing our orders. Good choice of food - nibbles, starters and mains. Various of us made different choices. All beautifully presented - and sooo quickly, given how busy they were, with a wedding party too! That 'magic ingredient': ENOUGH STAFF! Everyone enjoyed what they'd ordered and we went away happy.

Fifteen beautifully equipped en-suite accommodation suites are all furnished to a high standard, with Egyptian cotton bed linen, down pillows, luxurious high-pressure showers, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen TVs. Deep in rural England, overnight stays are exceptionally quiet and peaceful. Our four Inn Rooms are a wonderful mix of old and new, with ancient oak beams and contemporary furnishings, while our six Garden Rooms offer a simple rural rustic charm and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Introducing our five Shepherd's Huts, new for 2019, a slice of elegant luxury lies nestled in the Surrey Hills in these decadent "glamping" experience Huts. Continental and full English breakfast is served between 8am and 10am in the Inn. There’s plenty of free on-site parking, free wifi, and children and dogs happily welcomed!
I don’t often take time to write a review but having just returned from a couple of nights stay at the MerryHarriers I felt I needed to let others know what a lovely place to visit this pub is. Set in the beautiful county side there are plenty of walks and cycle tracks to enjoy. We stayed in one of the Garden Rooms tucked away behind the pub and adjacent to the Llama fields . The rooms are well decorated with a comfortable bed , TV, hairdryer, team and coffee making facilities and complimentary crisps, and biscuits. The room was clean and peaceful. All the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. My husband suffers from nut and sesame allergies . We let our waitress know and she happily cheek with the chef what dishes were available and tgat his meal was nut and seed free. She happily reassured us and set his mind at rest. We ordered a steak and burger for main and each was cooked to our liking . We finished our stay off with a meet and greet with the Llamas that live in the fields behind the pub. Here Sally introduced us to the 13 Llamas.she was very knowledgeable and happily answered all of our Llama questions. You can also take a llama trek which is finished with a picnic. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Thanks Merry Harriers for making us so welcome.

Guy and his son Freddie were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they were super accommodating of us changing check in times and even helped us out with lifts when our taxi company let us down. The house is beautiful and full of character with some lovely walks around. Would definitely recommend!
