Glencoe, a designated National Scenic Area sometimes referred to as the Glen of Weeping, was the scene of the infamous 'Massacre of Glencoe' in 1692. The Glen has a number of viewing stops on the road through the valley, and the National Trust for Scotland has a visitor centre along the main route.

A disaster of a stay. I hosted a group of 27 people at the hotel. Before the trip, it was impossible to get any replies to our inquiries. The stay itself was ruined my the unfriendly service and, culminating with the hotel manager lecturing us for not remembering our pre-ordered meals (though the hotel had the list). Both the rooms and the food were super expensive. The meals were bland and tasteless. Never again.

Set in the heart of Glencoe, Clachaig Inn is a popular hostelry with a rich mountaineering heritage. Accommodation is provided by 23 en suite bedrooms, most of which enjoy the spectacular mountain views. Clachaig has 3 lively bars award winning bars and specializes in cask conditioned ales and malt whiskey. Food is served throughout the day and the menus use a variety of locally sourced ingredients.
Website advertises food served until 2100, no advance bookings needed. Arrived at 2040 after a days hiking to be told they weren't serving food in the bar, nor outside and that service in the restaurant had closed early. As anyone who knows the area will attest, there are limited other options to eat nearby. This was on the Saturday evening of a bank holiday weekend, Glencoe was filled to the rafters with hikers, I saw at least 6 other people from different groups also being turned away. Totally unacceptable to those who have planned their day to be left high and dry through no fault of their own. If the management had the foresight to put a notice on their website that they would close early other arrangements could have been made.

Luxury wee lodges in a very special setting. Why stay in a hotel bedroom, when you can stay in your very own small hotel!?! Beautiful cosy and romantic: wooden lodges set beside a river, among trees in parkland on a golf course. Each lodge has a private veranda reaching out over the water and most lodges have their own hot tub! Inside, these wee homes are packed with luxuries: en-suite facilities, small galley with microwave, etc, Nespresso coffee machine for a fantastic morning coffee, amazing Egyptian linens.
An adorable little find during our honeymoon trip to Scotland. We had mentioned in our reservation that we would be there to celebrate our honeymoon and we were completely surprised upon arrival. The staff had decorated our pod with rose petals and champagne and even a cake. The pod was super awesome and cozy. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. Would absolutely go back!!

Glencoe Youth Hostel is ideally located away from the main A82 in the quiet countryside of Glencoe, surrounded by fields and trees with stunning view of the hills. The youth hostel is popular with walkers, climbers and families as it offers budget multi-share accommodation but also private family friendly rooms too. Glencoe Youth Hostel has a large open plan kitchen/ dining room with ample cooking facilities and dining tables. According to one of our customers, Glencoe Youth Hostel has one of the best drying rooms in the Scottish Highlands! Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy. Please be assured we are endeavouring to improve where we can. We thank you for your patience and understanding
I enjoyed the hostel and staff and the surrounding area was gorgeous and a good place to walk and hike during the day. It's a long walk from town... Almost 2 miles. The main problem was that they don't let you in from about 11:00 to 4:00 so they can clean. If it's raining or cold or just tired after hiking, you can't come in! Without a car, you can only go to the restaurant a half mile away and hang out for several hours. It's a deal breaker for me. I would not stay there again for that reason alone.

Luxury & eco-friendly accomodation in idyllic log cabins, nestled at the foot of Beinn a Bheithir and overlooking Loch Leven and the Pap of Glencoe. Enjoy superking size bedding, freestanding bathtub, relax with the sound of the stream, the singing of the birds... and enjoy an unforgettable stay in a truly enchanting place.
Travelled 7 hours to the lodges to be told 1 hour before arriving that our booking was apparently cancelled 1 month prior. It wasn’t! We were given the opportunity to postpone the booking or to continue if possible. We decided to continue and this was accepted by the lodges. We checked in via booking.com to receive a snotty message in reply saying it was illegal to travel (it wasn’t) and that it was cancelled. Well if they had cancelled why didn’t they give us our money back then? We asked this question and had a reply of “you paid booking.com, they have your money so take it up with them”! I would never ever speak to potential clients the way these people spoke to my fiancé and I. We called them 13 times to try and speak to them but ignored all our calls and messages. We booked here because we heard good things. Clearly we were mistaken.

Due to last minute changes by our airline, we first thought we would arrive early, but ended up arriving right at midnight. We arrived and were greeted by an open welcoming door and a nice gentleman waiting to check us in. The next morning we awoke to pigeons cooing in the rafters and a gorgeous view. Made me smile. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only regret was we only had two nights to spend there. Would love to return someday.

Located in Glencoe Village, this traditional highland 5 star Inn offers informal and friendly hospitality where nothing is too much trouble. We serve delicious homemade local food all day. There is an excellent atmosphere in our well stocked bar each evening. There is a great choice of family, twin and double bedded rooms available - many with stunning loch views. A friendly welcome awaits you.
We stayed one night on our road trip. Our room was quite small but spotless and our daughters shared a twin which was bigger than ours and a better layout. The staff were lovely and really gave a personal service. The real highlight was the hot tub and sauna at the back! A big hit with our kids. Plus the pizza in the restaurant went down well too. I would definitely return. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was quite expensive. But overall a great choice in Glencoe!

Just returned home today after staying at the Ardno guest house. First class accommodation, fantastic views across Loch Etive and great room with very comfortable bed. The owners Robert and Morag couldn't be more helpful. A great base to explore the Glen Coe munros. We'll definitely be back.
