Tornoes Hotel is one of the few properties in Kerteminde where the owners have been known for the last 300 years. In the 17th century it was a grocery store. Gl. Brydegaard is a hotel, a restaurant and a conference facility. The farm was originally built in 1796 and for many many years it was an ordinary Danish farm with cultivated fields. In about 1940 the farm was turned into a guesthouse for wealthy people from Copenhagen, who came here by train to stay for the summer. In 1980 the old builings burned to the grown only leaving the old pigsty intact. The farm was rebuilt and in 2004 Gl. Brydegaards current owner, Connie, bought the place. The area around Gl.
