Reviewed By pandorabpaReally nice hotel with a pretty good fitness centre and a rather large spa area. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome immediately. The room was comfortable and quiet. My biggest surprise was the evening meal in the restaurant, which was incredibly delicious, well prepared and presented and served with love and care. I would definitely return.

Reviewed By jikawahSmall but very cozy. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful (they even allowed me to keep the bottle opener as a souvenir!) Love the pitcher of lemon and mint infused sparkling water at the reception area. Very refreshing and will quench anyone's thirst after a long day. Location has easy accessibility to great restaurants and places of interest. Zeppelin Museum is just 10 minutes walk away. Perfect hotel for those traveling on a budget.

Reviewed By Rita SI was a little worried at first, this is such a big hotel and we had been staying at smaller ones during our 5 week touring holiday of Germany. I thought that the service and food could not possibly be as good as the smaller guest houses and that it would be a bit “manic” but was proven wrong. Our room was very nice, clean and the most comfortable bed we had the whole holiday, nice pillows and air conditioning that actually blew out cool air and worked!! The shower was amazing. We found the internet to be very good. There are different elevators and the room at first was not easy to find. We opted for a 3 day package of 5 course meal. Each night a different starter, soup and salad (no choice but always very good), choice of main course, usually meat, fish or vegetarian and choice of 2 desserts. You are given the same table each evening. There are several different dining rooms all with an individual feel and all very nice. The wine list was extensive to say the least, we opted for local German wines which were all very good. Liked the fact that each course was served with a decent gap in between so you were not rushed. For two of the nights we had a young waiter, think his name was Maximilian, he was put on our table as his English was the best of all the staff and we were the only English speaking guests they had had in a while. The service he gave us was very polished and we really felt well looked after. The breakfast was served in several different rooms but with a buffet area in each room so never far to go. They had an area were you could get fresh cooked eggs or omelettes which was a nice touch. Everything you would expect on the buffet and everything replenished promptly. Got to say the only thing I did not like, for me, was the coffee and I could not seam to make a decent cup of tea even though they had English breakfast. The other thing was that they did not seam to have hand sanitiser in all the rooms, sharing serving utensils is never good at the best of times, they had plastic gloves that you could use although most guest did not use them, I would strongly suggest that you do, for your safety, we are still living in Covid times even though we are all vaccinated. No the hotel is not near the lake but the lake is huge and you still have to drive to the different areas if you want to do everything. The hotel provides a good base for most things and at a good price. Ample parking both outside and indoor garage. There are swimming pools and spas which we did not use. There are two bars which can be easily missed downstairs in the basement, both with a different vibe and very good efficient service and good prices for the drinks. Really can not fault the service, everyone so very friendly at this hotel even the lovely guys making the omelettes at breakfast, the staff worked really hard to make sure everything ran like clockwork. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return if ever in the area.

Reviewed By 958travelrI often stayed overnight in the Hoten Traube by the lake, out of a greenery that was typical of the area. The hotel is very nice and is a great place to stay. There are parking spaces in the underground car park as well as outside. When I visited the hotel a part of it was just rebuilt, this should be finished now. The staff at the reception is very friendly and courteous. Everything was professionally done and explained to me. The rooms are very nice and sufficiently furnished. So there is no reason to complain here. Also the bed eats very comfortably. The location of the hotel is great. You can take nice walks from there and you are also right at the lake. The breakfast is very tasty and there is a lot of choice. Here everybody will find something for sure. During my visit I often used room service. It is also competent, nice and fast. The extra costs for this are well within limits. There is also a wellness area which is located under the hotel. The wellness area is in my opinion very good. There are several saunas which you can use and a small swimming pool. There was always enough space available. The only negative thing that I do not include in this evaluation is the enclosed retsurant. Not because of the food, but simply because of the very unfriendly waiter (head waiter). I once ate alone in the restaurant and was treated by this waiter like a drop-out. He was simply unfriendly to me and in the end he did not want to give me a receipt for the food. Only after several times of asking I got it.

Reviewed By MarlemorVery clean and spacious room with updated bath. Included a frig. Breakfast was outstanding. The staff in the entire hotel was very helpful and friendly. Room 222 faces the lake. Traffic noise was not a problem. Our daughter and her husband and 2 daughters had an adjoining. Nice to have parking in the hotel.

According to the Corona restrictions the Breakfast was well presented and individual served, so that we got a feeling to stay in a save environment. It is understandable that the cleaning of the rooms was limited due to the Corona circumstances

Nice place to stay for Bodensee car trip
Reviewed By Igor KLocated few minutes drive from Friedrichshafen center. Rooms are clean, big and well maintained. Breakfast was very basic. There is private parking for hotel guests, but if you arrive on weekend afternoon, it may be occupied by restaurant visitors. In this case there is a free public parking on the other side of the street.
