The amenities such as the pool and the gym are targeted and allows one to live their normal lives. Staff members are very hospitable.

The air conditioner in my room (119) wasn't working properly and i had to endure it for five winter nights. There was no coffee only tea (rooibos and five roses) even after asking nicely from the housekeeping ladies it was never supplied. on a different note they have very friendly staff and their food is great they must serve a variety of desserts, they served too many cakes almost everyday of my stay. This was my first stay at Cresta

Reviewed By Trysh HNot impressed with this hotel. Room was terrible, shower didn’t work, most of the lights didn’t work. Restaurant awful - we walked in and straight out again and ate at the Spur down the road instead! Staff very indifferent. Would not stay here again!

If we lived closer we would visit there regularly. The accommodation was great, very clean and a great feeling of being in the wild. The staff were amazing and the food was brilliant. Cannot praise this place enough - would thoroughly recommend staying there!

The outdoor cooking facilities were excellent and the pool was appreciated when we required cooling off. The rooms were clean and I would recommend New Earth to anyone planning a stay in Francistown.

Great if you know what to expect
Reviewed By Richard HI was looking for a basic camping facility to host a school sports team. I didn't want to stick the boys in a hotel where things could get broken and they might disturb other guests. Tshimologo was just what I was looking for. The tented accommodation is simple but adequate. The ablutions also, though they could perhaps be spruced up a little and maybe there is a better way to ensure enough hot water. There is space to run around. We experienced one very windy night but the tents kept the cold out - if not all the noise! There is a good area for braaiing if required. I did not investigate or use the cooking facilities. At night, the place is pretty well lit. Mrs Alberts is a friendly and attentive host. There may be some farm noises (dogs, sheep, hens) in the vicinity but my bed was very comfortable and I am not complaining. This is not - and does not claim to be - luxurious but if you are looking for simple and cheap accommodation in Francistown, I would be happy to recommend it. I anticipate returning at the same time next year! There is a more upmarket guest house but I did not go in or view that part.

Overpriced
Reviewed By SamsammatI got the Chalets, was rudely awakened by other people early in the morning around 5am, the room did not have wifi, the water did not look clean and the aircon didnt work. The conference room toilets were clean but had a bad smell, the extra blankets provided smelled of cigarettes and the food wasn't nice save for the dessert, the dessert was delicious. Definitely over priced, the staff could also do a better job in terms of responsiveness to customer inquiries. The waiters are quite good and efficient.

Clean and simple

The owner and receptionist were most welcoming and as the rooms were clean and spacious we booked in. After our bad experience in a hotel in Gaberone earlier in the week, we were happy to have a large , clean room. A drawback was the lack of bedside lights. The breakfast was very poor having been pre-cooked - eggs, bacon sausage and beans. The microwave was broken and the breakfast could not be warmed. Nor was there tea or coffee available. Cooking the breakfast while clients wait would go a long way to improve the service.
