Set against a backdrop of Devon’s rolling hills and rocky coastline, Exeter is the county’s historic showpiece. Roman ruins, medieval buildings, and Georgian façades dot the modern town, contrasting with the quayside pubs and glass-fronted shopping malls.

Nice place. Had lots of parking near the hotel. Staff were friendly. Beds were very comfy :). Only problem room was dusty, but got cleaned after asked. Enjoyed breakfast and dinner price were reasonable and good quantity.

Quick trip to Exeter to visit family and decided to try the Holiday Inn Express. We had a room on the 4th floor which was lovely and quiet and it was very nice that there were able to put family nearby. The room was clean, bathroom very nice and air conditioning was appreciated. Only minor issue with the room is there is so little space near the window that the person on this side has difficulty getting in and out of bed. Breakfast was much better than expected but I do wish guests were not allowed to eat while wearing pyjamas! A huge thank you to the staff who were all very helpful!

A less than warm welcome awaits you from the fed up receptionist if you get the same one as myself. Awaiting me in the room she allocated to me were wet towels and used tissues in the bathroom, a bed with marks on the duvet cover and dirty cups. Clearly not been cleaned. My replacement room had been cleaned but not brilliantly and the housekeeping do not come during your stay, blamed on COVID though in reality now just a cost cutting exercise. During the stay I later asked the same receptionist for extra milk to be told to go elsewhere - no offer of help. However the breakfast was good and the dinner we had really good. Perfect lamb shanks and brilliant bread and butter pudding. There is at least one person working there who bothers!

We found TownHouse on line and although we usually book into chain hotels, we decided that we liked the look of it. We have been nothing but impressed with the whole set up, check in was so easy, greeting was warm and genuine and the rooms are lovely. We had a double on first floor and twin on ground floor, lovely touch is the mini radio playing classical music. The bed was so comfy, shower although small tables s powerful and water is beautifully hot. Breakfast is continental style, with a twist- it’s delivered out souse your room at your agreed time in a thermal hamper, everything you need is there- fresh croissants, jams, coffee, juice and amazing fruit/yogurt pots. breakfast in bed was fab. The house is set 10 mins walk from city centre and we parked 3 mins walk away (paid parking). The whole place is well thought through, our hosts treated us to Prosecco and macaroons in the garden to celebrate the Jubilee. We will be back next year once we know when we are playing Exeter. Thank you for a great weekend

Come and see for yourself what a stay at the Premier Inn Exeter City Centre has to offer. Located in the city centre, you can really get a taste of the history, activities and beauty of the heart of Devon. On your doorstep is the main High Street, where you can shop till you drop, or branch out and explore the Cathedral, Castle or Western Quarter's of the city. Just 15 minutes away, you can admire the historic beauty of the Quayside before returning to our city centre hotel. You'll love our on-site Thyme restaurant and our new generation bedrooms, each featuring an impressive 40" flat screen TV, bright, modern bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed.
The hotel in the centre of Exeter was at full occupancy the evening before we arrived which meant rooms weren’t ready until after 3/4pm. Ross on reception made us feel welcome, made us a coffee and we were able to sit and wait in comfort after a fairly long journey. Parking is an issue but one Premier Inn are trying to resolve by acquiring the underground car park, this would be a good move.

The Mill on the Exe pub next door serves food all day including breakfast.
We had a great one night stay in Exeter. Perfect location and setting (right on the river), lovely well-appointed, modern and comfortable room - and a superb meal in the really nice restaurant (I had fantastic fish and chips); but as well as all that all the staff were great from the moment we arrived - particularly Harry who looked after us from start to finish. Can only recommend Mill on the Exe in every regard

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom was a good size. The breakfast was great, good choice. The only thing which was a bit odd were the windows, the windows weren't on a latch. The walls were quite thin.Overall really nice experience, good if you are a solo traveler.

Service and quality are to the highest standard where integrated interiors and technology make your stay it’s most enjoyable. Situated close to the sophistication of Exeter’s centre, it's an ideal place to stay for a city break or to further explore Devon.
Stayed overnight whilst on a Uni pick up. I got a very good deal on a Classic Room at £114 inc breakfast, but they kindly upgraded me to a Deluxe Room on 2nd flr. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, really nice bathroom and beautiful views over the gardens and park behind the hotel. It was very quiet overnight. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was great too. Breakfast was very nice. Staff throughout were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Paid extra £15 for parking at the hotel (although there's a carpark right next door if full). Walk into the city centre is 5 mins. I would def stay again if i could get a good deal on a room again.

I feel really sorry for the staff who work at this hotel which is worn out and not really fit for or up to the standard that you would expect from this chain. My room, well it’s the sort of place where you don’t want to put your feet on the floor without your shoes on. The bed was absolutely knackered… broken & squeaky springs. Bathroom fittings fairly clean but it’s just all so dated. £50 a night is all it’s worth. The new parking charge of an extra fiver really just adds insult to injury. Actually can I pay a fiver and just sleep in my car..? It’s newer and cleaner ;)
