I arrived very late due to travel delays. The staff was very responsive during this time. I had not eaten since arriving to the airport in Texas at 4am. And with all the delays and re-routing, I knew I would arrive famished! The staff waited an extra 30 mins for me, as I was arriving by ferry around their closing time. When I got to my room there were small snacks to tide me over if I hadn't been able to get dinner. So sweet and soooo good! I had a large room with a king size bed, sitting area, beverage/snack center, and spacious bathroom. The bed and linens were very very comfortable, and the bath products were perfect! It was a short 3 min walk down main street to all the shops & restaurants. Lots of traffic on main and the peace and tranquility of The Richard was not disturbed. There are rocking chairs on the front porch to sit and watch the visitors drive and walk by. Morning and mid-day, there is a small continental breakfast offering and snacks mid-day. They do not have a liquor license, unfortunately, so bring your own wine if you would like to pair it with the mid-day snacks. The staff was very responsive, helpful, and soooo nice! The entrance to the hotel is to the side of the house. There is parking behind the house for your vehicles. When I return in the fall I will stay here again!

We returned to the Harbor View 50 years after our honeymoon. It could not have been more special! From the moment we entered the door we were warmly welcomed and celebrated. The team took every opportunity to give us the most memorable stay possible. The accommodations were outstanding as well as the first class breakfasts and dinners at Bettini’s Restaurant. We could not have asked for more.

Initially they put us into the top floor room and it was so small and angled attic angled ceilings that i could not stand unless in center of room (basically at the foot of the bed or door) - i'm 6'2" so not a giant. We complained and then then moved us to the middle floor where the room had normal ceilings. The furniture was very beat up, but shower temp and water pressure was good. They have a more renovated side of the hotel but they did not put us there even though they did not appeared to be booked up at all - it was very early season an covid impacted. Also, you have to pay for parking like 40$ per night FYI.

The pictures are well taken! The place and service are mediocre. Would probably spend a little extra to get the charm of Oaks Bluff as a first-time visitor. Far away from downtown, would need a car to get around easily.

I agree with the other comments that The inn is extremely worn with soiled furnishings and poor decor. Cold coffee was on offer at the non existent breakfast and an overall lack lustre feel. The lounge which could have been made very welcoming was uninviting with shabby couches and pillows that hadn’t been plumped up in a decade. The whole place needed renovation with moth eaten stair carpets and shabby pictures. The couch in the bedroom looked filthy and the furniture throughout mismatched and old. The bed was ok as was Fred on check in. The inn is a shadow of its former self and needs a serious injection of cash to compete with modern day equivalents.

This is a lovely place - bang central in the middle of Edgartown with wondrous views of the harbour. It is part hotel / part time share and hence doesn’t quite feel like a traditional hotel. There is no on site bar or restaurant for example - which is a real shame as if there was one, it would be a wonderful addition. There is a lovely pool and lots of outside space. Rooms are well apportioned and very clean. You can’t beat the location and there is parking available. I would have given this place 5 stars if there has been an on-site bar - but to be honest this is a very high four stars from me. Loved it here.

The service was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere and decor of each room is unique and is like being in a Decor magazine without being stuffy. This is my second time here and will be back!
