Located in the South Pacific more than 2,000 miles off the Chilean coast, Easter Island’s not the easiest place to reach. (If you’re interested, the easiest access is by air from Santiago or Tahiti.) But isolation has helped preserve the 1,500-year-old mysterious congregation of volcanic rock sculptures (maoi) that’s the island’s biggest claim to fame. After exploring the unique landscape, relax on an uncrowded beach and ponder one of the most mysterious places on Earth.

Nayara Hangaroa, the newest hotel property on Easter Island located just a 5-minute walk from the island's only town, Hanga Roa. It features 75 elegant and smartly decorated rooms, the Poerava and Kaloa restaurants, the deluxe Manavai Spa, an outdoor swimming pool and its Vaikoa bar, a reading room and excursion center, a 60-person auditorium, and 300-person conference space for cultural seminars, dance, and music presentations or corporate meetings. Nayara Hangaroa sits high on a dramatic, steep-sloped cliff facing the Pacific Ocean, and all guestrooms boast panoramic windows and terraces with sea views. Nayara Hangaroa offers flexible programs from Bed & Breakfast to Full Board packages that include lodging, excursions, and all meals and beverages. Each detail of the hotel's architectural design and functionality is cutting edge. Inspired by the Orongo ceremonial village and site of the island's Bird Man ritual, all of the walls are curved and topped with grass roofs. They favor natural light and landscaping of local flora and fauna that allow the hotel to artfully blend into its natural environment.
I had the chance to spend one week in this superb hotel in the magic island of Hangaroa. An all-inclusive upscale experience with honest price and for many atributes a one-of-a-kind option. From spacious rooms to gourmet à la carte meals served to impress the taste and the eyes. The staff was super friendly and even tricycle rentals, the best way to circundate and truly know the island were included in the full board package. I strongly recomend.

Featuring an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Hare Uta offers rooms with free limited WIFI. Our 9 rooms are inspired by the homes of the first inhabitants of the island. They are decorated with parquet floors and stylish furnishings, and all feature a private bathroom. Local and international dishes can be ordered at the property s restaurant. Guests can benefit from relaxing massages for an extra fee in the spa, which features a natural volcanic stone solarium. Excursions can be arranged.
My cousin and I enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at Hare Uta in February 2020. We loved this beautiful property. Our favorite things about this hotel were: (1) The onsite atmosphere is one of complete relaxation. The beautiful grounds coupled with the adorable chickens roaming around was wonderful. This is the perfect place to chill out. We loved it! (2) The staff was incredibly helpful! Special shout outs to Consuelo who made multiple dinner/taxi reservations for us and Amelia who always warmly welcomed us to the hotel restaurant. (3) Tour guide Tito - We arranged for 4 day tours with onsite guide Tito. We learned so much about Rapa Nui during our outings and really appreciated him sharing his knowledge and insight with us.

Careful with the hygiene of the bar, I walked up to order 3 beers and the bartender promptly stuck his fingers in all three glasses in order to grab from fridge. He then presented them to me and I couldn't accept. Certainly in the time of a pandemic this practice should not be happening. Makes me wonder what is happening in the kitchen?

Eco Lodge is a simple 3 star hotel that charges prices of a luxury resort, because of course the principle of supply and demand applies throughout Easter Island. It is very well located for walking to downtown, restaurants, dive centers and seeing a range of Moai statues. The rooms are very simple and in need of a makeover.

We also have a fully equipped kitchen that you can use to prepare your own meals (5 kitchens in the complex with all utensils, fridge, stove, cutlery, tea, coffe, sugar ,etc) We can coordinate vehicles for rent, boat trips, horse-riding trips, scuba diving and fishing trips and traditional dance shows. We look forward to welcoming you here!
Yvonne, one of the owners of the hotel is an angel. From the pick-up at the airport, through the efficient check-in, from friendly advice and help getting settled, Yvonne was all smile and good humour. The rooms are located around a central courtyard with flowers and trees. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and VERY comfortable (and decorated with good taste !). Breakfast is in the nearby coffee shop on the premises. You can choose from 4 set menues and it's really enough to start your day exploring the island. If later on the day you get a bite to eat, as a guest you get a discount. And even though the hotel is right on main street, my room was very quiet. I'm a light sleeper but I never heard a sound from the nearby activity later in the evening. For me, this is the PERFECT place to stay - and at a very reasonable price too !
