An extensive waterfront regeneration and the addition of the V&A Museum to the banks of the River Tay has spruced up Dundee considerably, but it hasn't gone to Dundonians' heads. With plenty of wit and character, the locals are some of the friendliest in the UK.

Stayed here a few times as its in a great position for town and university. Had a great room this time (104) after a somewhat disappointing room experience last time. Room was huge and comfortable. Good parking and great breakfast, though could have done with a fried egg but thats just me. Staff all very helpful and will return again. Very reasonable price as well. Jim

Arrived at the Hotel and greeted by very friendly and helpful Reception Staff. First thing to mention is the brilliant location, right on the waterfront and only a few yards away from good pubs, cafe's and live music venues. Second thing is how bright, modern and spacious this hotel is. The room (Queen Double) was a really good size, tv on the wall, comfortable bed, excellent shower and bathroom, what's not to like? The Staff throughout our stay were really helpful and welcoming.

Four of us had a very pleasant one-night stay in this boutique hotel in the middle of Dundee. The building, an old industrial site, has been strikingly converted to create a cool, minimalist vibe. Dinner was good and they had a decent, if not cheap, wine list. There is an interesting array of ground floor exhibits in the hotel which highlights Dundee's jute, jam and publishing heritages. Very handy location to walk around the heart of Dundee, including the first rate McManus Gallery.

Tbh, we chose this hotel because it was cheap... all we needed was a bed for the night to break up a long journey. If you don't need all the frills, it's perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff.... spotlessly clean... a decent sized room... a very comfy bed...and a TWELVE O'CLOCK checkout! We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that but an eat all you like breakfast for £8.99 is great value! It's not in a scenic location, and it's not city centre, but if you don't need either of those then this hotel fits the bill. I'd definitely book again.

We held our wedding here as well as staying for a few nights. The service from every single member of staff was excellent. They made every single guest feel very important and all the staff took time to chat with guests during the day and also for the 40+ people who stayed overnight. The food was excellent, not just the wedding meal, but the meals the night before. a nice variety to suit every taste. We stayed in the Wylde Suite which was huge and very clean. Other guests commented on the standards being very high. The team here are definitely one of the best - Nikki the manager leads from the top and you can see this shining through every member of staff as they want each customer to have the best experience. I can't fault anything at all - a gem of a place with a fantastic team.

We were really pleased with our gorgeous Apartment. It was much bigger than we anticipated with a good size Bathroom with Bath and the whole place felt light and airy . The Kitchen had everything and we also had two Televisons !!! The only downside was the rather uncomfortable seating in th Living room area. These apartments are really good value and so much nicer than being stuck in one room ! There is an M and S Simply Food with 5 minute walk . We ate at the Daisy Tasker the first night which was handy as we didnt know Dundee at all . The food was OK though not cheap. The free Breakfast was good , served by friendly staff and there was a reasonable choice . Dundee is an interesting city with a fascinating history, lots to see and museums to visit. Great , Friendly staff and when I left my IPad adaptor Callum and Ivan arranged for it to be sent to me ! Thank you , excellent customer service
