Donegal Town is a fairytale of a place, featuring a charming harbor, serene beaches and stoic stone remains of centuries past, like those of 15th-century Donegal Abbey. Stern-looking Donegal Castle, recently restored to its one-time Gaelic glory, is the crown jewel of the area. If you’re looking for souvenirs, snag a hand-woven tweed or carpet, the signature goods of the area. For a good craic, the pubs of The Diamond area are a sure bet.

Enjoyed our break from the moment we checked in to our last minute there. The staff were so helpful , informative and friendly. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful well maintained gardens. We had stayed there last September and had a great time, so no surprise we returned. Lovely rooms, first class food, what more could you ask for. Will be back.

I had the best 2 nights here with my family. The grounds are stunning, beautiful location, fabulous hotel. Ate in the bar the first night and the restaurant the second. We were disappointed we didn't dine both nights in the restaurant as it was so much better. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Our room was just gorgeous. We stayed in the main building. Great pool, spa and thermal suite. We will definitely return.

Clean and tidy guesthouse. Friendly and professional staff. Check-in was quick and efficient. The owner proposed to help us with dinner reservation, and gave us good recommendations. 15 min walking distance to Donegal city centre (3 min driving). Room is old fashioned but clean. Excellent breakfast buffet (just missed an expresso). Car park just in front with plenty of spaces.

The room was airy and spacious, the property quiet. It is right off the main highway but on a side road to a beach, so not noisy. A problem with the shower temp control was addressed right away. Very friendly folks, and an outside cat that appeared aloof but actually loved attention. Hot breakfast unlike some places. Mmm, the TV was tiny, rather incongrous in the spacious room. Just like 10 minutes into Donegal, where there is an actual Mexican restaurant among other things.

We stayed here for two nights as we were going to a wedding at Harvey’s Point. The rooms are very big and very comfortable. Breda was an excellent host and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. We arrived late in the evening and this wasn’t a problem for Breda and see arranged a taxi into Donegal town for us. The breakfasts in the mornings where excellent. If we go to this area again will definitely try to stay here.

The location was good and the room was clean. I have no issue with it. The only thing is the lady, I think she runs this place with the husband, is so not friendly. She seems so uptight and did not even have a bit of hospitality when I stayed there. She was probably busy serving breakfast, but it was only 3 people having breakfast. If she is juggling to run the place, maybe get an extra person to support the operation. The guests are not staying for free at this place, so please show some hospitality.

Stayed here as a group whilst on a stay in Donegal. We had two rooms and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely they were. Our room was modern with both a double bed, single bed, fridge and a dining table. Facilities to make hot drinks were also available. Bathrooms are lovely with a powerful shower and soft towels. The room itself is a great size with plenty of space to walk around. Radiators in the rooms were also easy for us to use ourselves which was great for the cold nights. Staff were friendly and on hand if we needed anything. The lodgings are the perfect location in Donegal town, located right next to all the bars/restaurants/shops. The rooms themselves are located above the reveller bar however we did not hear any noise at all. All in all a great stay and we would definitely return when back in Donegal!
