Reviewed By PJC39If you have any access issues don't go near this hotel or its reception staff. As always I checked about them having an accessible room as Im wheelchair dependent. I was told there wasn't a problem. We arrive at the hotel to face a flight of stairs to reception and a platform lift that had been broken for 6 weeks. Instead they decided to carry me up the stairs in my chair. Checking in I was told they had one accessible room but it had been out of action for 4 months. But they could offer an alternative. Decided to go and look only to be faced with further stairs and having to resort in going outside to use a service lift. The room itself was nicely appointed but with a door to the bathroom so narrow I couldn't fit my wheelchair through . By this time it was late and we have been travelling for a number of hours so we decided to stay for one night until we could relocate elsewhere. The view was supposedly of mountains - all we had was a blanket wall of trees. Sleeping with the windows open was nice except for the staff smoking area on the floor below. We moved out as quick as possible the next day. It is a beautiful if tired looking hotel but the staff were the problem - they really couldn't care less and simply lay the blame on it being an 'old' building - sorry but that excuse didn't work as the alterations necessary could be done in 10 minutes.

Excellent apartment on a budget
Reviewed By David AStayed at L'Oree du Parc in Divonne-les-Bains for three nights in March 2022, deciding to book one of their small apartments. This is larger than their standard Studio, having a separate bedroom and a lounge/dining room with a sofa which would convert into a single or double bed if necessary. For two people we had plenty of space. Cleanliness on arrival was excellent and the overall condition of the apartment was also very good with only a few small signs of wear-and-tear which were really unnoticeable. The kitchenette facilities were fine for preparing breakfast but we didn't use them for cooking any meals. I'm sure the hob and microwave would be adequate for preparing a small meal if you wanted to eat in. My only minor comment would be the curtains in the bedroom should be thicker than the net provided, since there aren't shutters. This meant the outside lights shone into the bedroom at night, but really I didn't lose any sleep due to this. We would certainly stay here again, as proven by the fact this was already our second visit.

Great value - spotty WIFI
Reviewed By TippOzThis is a great value hotel at €75/room which are clean and comfortable. The restaurant downstairs is also very good and the breakfast is one of the best. Only blemish was the spotty WIFI reception which couldn’t be picked up in our top floor rooms and only intermittently in the foyer area.

Economical and nice people
Reviewed By sachinmalik3We stayed just for a night there reaching quite late in the night. It was a very basic room and light outside the window kept troubling us all night. However, the people were extremely warm and friendly. My wife loved the breakfast and the lady tried to pull out all stops to find us a taxi to get back to town which was not easy at all.

Reviewed By Paoloc0211The residence is in a very nice location near the lake and perfect for morning jogging. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the place looks old. My room had a bad smell which went away after opening the windows. Good value for money.

Good location for a weekend in Divonne
Reviewed By richandliz28About 20 minutes drive from Geneva airport (80 euros taxi fare one way, which is properly expensive for such a short journey!) the accommodation was easy to find and well located in the village, quiet despite being just a very short walk to the centre with shops, banks, bars, restaurants etc. and an excellent Sunday market. Have read the previous reviews, which are quite old now, but there aren't that many hotels in Divonne itself and what's on offer does seem to separate the market, by style and financially - so take your choice. The room we were allocated was well furnished and reasonably clean. We got a bedroom with a decent bed, separate seating area with sofa, coffee table & TV (no English channel), air conditioning and hanging/storage space. Small functional kitchen so you could self-cater if you had to, but is limited. Toilet separate to bathroom. Shower flow was poor but apart from that the room in general was ok. There is no housekeeping provided for short stays, but it did state this on the website so we were aware before we booked, and our stay was only 2 nights so we weren't concerned that this was lacking. We had breakfast (included) each day in the hotel, which turned out to be a (very) small choice of hot & cold foods, pastries and a coffee machine. All self service. We found most of the staff we encountered to be friendly and multilingual, although one receptionist did manage to book our taxi back to the airport at 4am rather than 4pm! resulting in a rather unwelcome phone call waking us in the early hours, so clearly something lost in the translation there. All in all, the hotel was well located for our requirements and we would stay again if we were revisiting the area.

A little discovery
Reviewed By cocoauI lived near Divonne for 5 years and decided to go for a night there on July 14th to get a bit of a refreshing time from the place I live now. Having an old dog with me it is always necessary to find a place that will allow her in my room. I found this place, nothing amazing from the outside. But then you enter and you have the nicest receptionist that makes you feel so welcome. I did not have the breakfast in the morning but I might the next time I go. It is a short walk from the town center and not too far from the lake. Very quiet. My room had a nice size. My room was a nice size and it was on the first floor, which was perfekt for my old 13 years old lab that could not do too many stairs. Again, the lady at the reception is the nicest person that makes you definitely welcome.

Lovely camping in the nature
Reviewed By 346mutluaGreat camping with all we needed. Young employees do their best to help if we needed anything. Some activities are canceled but we still had a great vacation. There are many things to do around. I will definitely stay here if I go back. We stayed in a mobile home which was very comfortable. It is a nice camping in the nature and a great place to do walks in the nature too. Thank you for the great vacation!
