Reviewed By ChicoRanManWe enjoyed one night at this hotel as we passed through Dien Bien Phu. Helpful staff spoke minimal English. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Good location within walking distance of most things to see and do. WiFi was weak in the bedroom but okay in the lobby. The hotel could use a good dusting in general, but our bedding and the bathroom were clean. Air con worked well.

Reviewed By Tuan NThe claimed 4 stars, but I think they deserve 3 minus. Old-fashioned hotel and not clean. The lift is malfunction. The bathtub is out of order. The water is very week. And the room is not sound-resistant, very noisy at night. I can hear the noises from a bar nearby, from the voice in next rooms, and the praying music from a funeral in the city, especially the horns of traffic vehicles. Poor hotel.

Reviewed By df86Stayed in the Phuong Nam for 2N whilst in DBP. I was attracted to the place as it combined high TA rankings with a competitive price - £9 per night. Its very good value - the rooms are clean and of a decent size. Bed comfortable. Shower hot. My room wasn't cleaned on the second day, but as I was only staying for one more night I didn't see this as an issue. But worth noting. The location is decent. The key DBP attractions (museum, A1. Hill etc) are about 15/20 mins walk at most.

Great location in Dein Bien Phu.
Reviewed By momofthree070Clean, great a/c and a wonderful location. This is a basic hotel but it has everything you need. Breakfast was missing coffee and we had to buy at the cafe next door, but the pho was excellent. Couldn't ask for a better location with everything in walking distance. And really, it was all excellent value for the money. One night we had a blackout lasting several hours (all of Dein Bien Phu was dark) but the building is thick brick and so we did not suffer from the heat before the a/c came back on.

Reviewed By Arthur415This Homestay is exactly that. You are staying in a family home. This is a new building. My room was very clean and a modern bathroom. A/C WiFi work well. Quyen the hostess is very knowledgeable, helpful and provides a great breakfast. Located on a quiet street and a short walk to battle sites, restaurants and coffee shops.

Good, but...
Reviewed By RTKactiveWe stayed here for 2 nights while on a bike trip, so we weren’t looking for luxury. Overall the hotel was decent, not great. Hot water and internet were patchy, but generally worked. The linens were sketchy (that’s why we travel with sleep sacks!) and the massive illuminated billboard outside our window flashed all night long (which is why we travel with eyeshades!) Room amenities were missing, but available when requested. The staff was enthusiastic & very friendly, and we were able to communicate through the miracle of Google Translate. Attached coffee shop was not nearly as good as local choices. But, this seems to be one of your best choices in town.

The 76 guesthouse was completed on 8/2017. The hotel has 8 rooms which are all nicely decorated to provide a memorable stay. Right in the heart of the city. Convenient to visit the historical monuments such as monuments, tunnels, museums, markets ..., located next to the bus station. Spacious room, clean. Caring staff dedicated
Hit and miss
Reviewed By Luke SLooks nice in the photos and tbf is clean enough and looks recently furnished but that's it. The side of the building we stayed in was right next to the coach station and had a brighy flashing light. We blocked it up with what we could which helped. The showers were cold which wasn't ideal but could live with. The food was cheap but gave me the squirts, I've eaten in some filthy places across Vietnam and been fine which makes you think. No one spoke a lick of English which made everything twice as hard as it should of been. Overall it would be acceptable but the service really brought it down

A1 Hotel has 50 rooms which are fully equipped with modern facilities and beautiful will help you to have a nice break. Conveniently located at the foot of A1 hill even close to many parks and historical sites this 3 star hotel is an ideal place to start your excursions in Dien Bien.
Aged and mediocre
Reviewed By RianDMIn a country with excellent value hotels this place really falls short. The first room they gave me was clearly under repair with water gushing from a pipe in the bathroom ceiling. The second was certainly spacious but dingy and badly in need of an overhaul. The beds were like sleeping on a slab of granite. The bathroom was huge but badly dated with awful lighting. I had to shave at the desk in the main room to see my face. The only plus is the location a short walk from A1 hill.

Reviewed By CandyCinWe stayed here for two nights. The wooden bungalows are large and nice, sightseeing around is good. They arranged good services and friendly staff. We has dinner at biggest wooden restaurant, price is quite reasonable and good taste. Highly recommend for everyone to stay here when visiting Dien Bien Phu
