A rich history, a bit of nostalgia and modern comfort. That typifies the 3-star hotel De Lindeboom in the centre of Den Burg. The hotel, located in an historical building dating from 1891, combines a special mix of an authentic atmosphere and modern facilities.
I came here on a business trip and stayes two nights. Rooms are very comfortable, bathroom facilities very clean, very good breakfast! Good information on the island accessible, bike rentals nearby. Definitely recommend the place!

Stayokay Texel is located in the centre of the island, within walking distance of the lively centre of Den Burg and at 6 km from the beach. The interior of this modern hostel was developed according to a new design concept: natural materials and subdued colours create a unique atmosphere and a strong feeling of space. The friendly hostel boasts an array of modern facilities and each room has its own private bathroom. In addition, the building is surrounded by a variety of sports fields and playgrounds.
I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and practicality of the hostel. Everything has been thought of, many small thought out details. I had a room at the back and it was super quiet It's not a party vibe this time of the year, more families and nature lovers.

After doing my research, I found this property to stay at for our first family weekend away. I liked that the accommodation had a (very generously sized) communal living area, that with a living room, dining table and kitchen was a home from home. It meant we could put our baby to bed at night and then relax there afterwards with a log fire. Everywhere was exceptionally clean, ideally situated in a central location and friendly service. I would highly recommend to stay here as a family. There is an eco pool on site, small play area and bike hire. Breakfast is highly recommended. Wonderful stay.

Rooms at De Smulpot offer a refrigerator, a minibar, and air conditioning providing exceptional comfort and convenience, and guests can go online with free wifi. Newspaper, shops, and outdoor furniture are some of the conveniences offered at this hotel. An on-site restaurant will also help to make your stay even more special. If you are driving to De Smulpot, street parking is available. For those interested in checking out Burghtkerk (0.0 mi) while visiting Den Burg, De Smulpot is a short distance away. While in Den Burg be sure to experience local tapas favorites at Casa Molero. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular architectural buildings such as De Hervormde Kerk van Den Burg Texel uit 1452. Enjoy your stay in Den Burg!
We stayed at the Smulpot hotel for 3 nights and ate there twice (1 time as part of the reservation and a second night because we liked it a lot). The staff is super friendly and is genuinely welcoming. The rooms are modern and big enough with the only downside that they are not very sound proof. The hotel provides you with earplugs so if its too bad you can use those. We would definitely recommend this hotel/restaurant both for staying over and for eating. Do make a reservation for dinner though, because the restaurant was full for all three nights that we were here.

On one of the island of Holland lies Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Koogerend, just a few minutes' walk from Den Burg's historic centre and a few kilometers from the dunes and beaches of Texel. The rooms are simple but elegantly decorated with TV and private bathroom. Hotel Koogerend offers free WiFi and free parking. In the morning guest can enjoy an extensive breakfast. And both international and national dishes are served in the restaurant. There is also a bar at the hotel, where you can enjoy several drinks, like 'Texelse Juttertje', a local drink. Thanks to its location, the Hotel-Restaurant Koogerend is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend or a more extended period. Texel has a lot to offer. Go to the beach and take a dip in the sea or rent a bike and enjoy all the beautiful nature of Texel.
This hotel is very okay considering its service and food. The beds are comfortable and there is even a whirlpool bath tub. We staid in a nice room on the second floor with a french window. The room was dated though and not that clean. So don't expect world class quality! There is a parking for hotel guests.

Holidaypark Dennenoord is a nice holidaypark on the island Texel. It is situated in the middle of the island, just outside Den Burg and close to De Koog. The beach is just 3 kilometers from the park. We have Bungalows, Chalets, lodges and mobilehomes for rent. We also have a campsite. There are lots of facilities on the park like a restaurant, a supermarket, 4 playgrounds and an Indoor-playground, bike rental and minigolf. In Juli and August we have entertainment for the children.
I stayed at Dennenoord with my heavily pregnant wife and 2-year-old son, and I have never known a family be treated so badly in all my life to the point that the reception staff called the police on my pregnant wife and 2-year-old son to make them leave the park for no reason other than that we complained about the poor service. When the police arrived, they said their time was being wasted and told the park that we did not have to leave as we had done nothing wrong. The entire saga all started with an issue with our WiFi, which I contacted reception about by sending them a message through their online portal. Despite a very unhelpful email discussion, the WiFi still did not work properly two days later, and they said it was an issue with our devices (3 phones, 1 tablet, 2 laptops), even though they all connected to the WiFi without any problem in other areas of the park. I eventually went to reception in person where the reception staff became very angry towards me and even made negative remarks about me to each other in Dutch (believing I would not understand). I found this highly rude and disrespectful. I asked to speak to a manager or have her name. Both were refused. On this note, I left and returned the next day hoping that I could get a better result in getting the issue with the WiFi fixed. I was now told that the WiFi service is a “gift” to us because it is free, and that if it didn't work, we just had to live with it. I was shocked and appalled at this view. I explained that the parking, electricity and water are all “free” as we don’t have to pay for how much of each of them we use - they are built into the accommodation cost. Because of the way we were being treated, and the angry, unhelpful and cold attitude of the particular member of reception staff, I explained that our holiday had been ruined by the terrible service, and that we wanted a refund. At this point, a maintenance staff member (not reception staff) approached the counter and behaved very aggressively. The very first thing he said to me was, "I’m going to tell you what you’re going to do." I immediately shut down this line of conversation by asking again for a refund to which he responded sarcastically, "We can’t give you a refund because we don’t have any money under the counter." He was antagonistic, rude and disrespectful. At this point, my wife who was also present stepped in to intervene in the conversation as she also was not happy with how this man was talking to me, and was beginning to experience pain due to the stress of the situation. Our 2-year-old son was also showing signs of stress. I explained this to the reception staff, but they showed absolutely no compassion or consideration for the wellbeing of my pregant wife and young son. There was absolutely no effort by the staff to make us feel at ease or comfortable. At this point, I decided to call VVV Texel for some help and assistance in the matter. While I was on the phone to VVV Texel, the maintenance man attempted to intimidate me. It felt like this was some kind of game to him - he was smirking constantly, and he had absolutely no sympathy or empathy for our situation, especially the fact that my pregnant wife was in such severe pain at this point she had to sit down, and my son was getting very upset. The reception staff listened to my phone call to VVV Texel as I made the call in the reception area, and I could see they were not happy with the complaints I was making to VVV Texel. As a result of this, the reception staff suddenly demanded that my wife and son leave the premises, and also shouted to me to leave the park or she would call the police. She became very aggressive and was shouting at my wife to leave by the door even though my wife at this point was in noticeable pain and distress. Of course, we refused to leave because I was trying to obtain assistance from VVV Texel, and my wife was in no fit state to leave the park as she needed her medication which was in the chalet. My 2-year-old son at this point was now sleeping on the floor, and no one seemed to care about our distressing situation. I continued to speak with VVV Texel on the phone for advice, then suddenly the police arrived. I explained the situation to the police, and the police agreed that there was nothing they could do, no crime had been committed, and that Dennenoord had wasted police time in asking them to attend. The police tried to arbitrate the situation between us and the staff, but the staff started behaving antagonistic in front of the police. The police informed the staff that we must be allowed to remain on the park, and the entire ordeal was finally over. I returned with my family to the chalet as quickly as we could so that my wife could get her medication and my son could sleep in a bed instead of on the floor. To summarise, we had a customer service issue where we were not being provided with a service we had paid for, something that is absolutely not our fault. And instead of it being handled properly with care and understanding, we are subjected to mistreatment, shouting, rudeness, and having the police called on us merely for being upset and complaining to VVV Texel, and subjecting a heavily pregnant woman and a 2-year-old little boy to stress beyond imagination. All because Dennenoord failed to provide adequate WiFi. In other words, we did absolutely nothing wrong to cause this ordeal that we have had to face. And regarding the maintenance man, he absolutely exacerbated the situation by acting towards me and my family in an aggressive manner. This staff are clearly not properly trained in any form of customer-facing role. An absolutely appalling and abysmal stay at Dennenoord and despite complaining to senior management, no response has been forthcoming, hence this review.

This hotel has new ownership and I’m so happy about it! Wonderful quaint and cosy hotel with a wonderful location. The room had everything I needed to relax and enjoy my stay. You can walk to the city center within 5 minutes. Morning breakfast had amazing local breads that were beyond tasty and the staff/owners were most helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to travelers, vacationers and families. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy their new restaurant in March/April!

Its a real joy staying at Isola Bella, Anne (and her husband)is a fantastic host and they make a fab breakfast with local products. There is a big kitchen where you can even cook if you want. Isola Bella is a place where you can quitely sit back and relax, out- and inside. Beds are very good, rooms and bathroom big enough. We stayed in the room downstairs. I loved it and defenitly can reccommand this beauty of a B&B in Den Burg Texel.
