Abandoned in the 10th century, the stunning Mayan ruins at Copan deserve as much time as you can spend there, a full day or more. Travelers recommend that you hire a guide; you'll learn so much more about this World Heritage site and its history and people than you ever could on your own. After your adventure, sip a cup of strong Honduras coffee and people-watch in the main square or just enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery.

This is a great, clean spot in lovely Copan. The location is great - about a 20 minute walk to the ruins, and everything in the city is within 10 minutes. Hot showers, good wifi, comfy beds, a lounge area, a fantastic breakfast (and dinner) at the lovely sister hotel next door. Hamlet was running the show during my visit and he could not have been more helpful. Onward bus to Antigua for $35 US was arranged by him and went smoothly. All in all, if you are happy not having your own private bathroom then this place is great.

Terramaya is a charming six room property featuring superb panoramic views and the best in comfort, service and value. The architecture is a mix of contemporary and local design elements featuring exposed wood beams, 21 foot cathedral ceilings, granite counter tops, private gardens and terraces. A/C, ceiling fans, queen beds, free internet, library, hammocks, hand crafted hardwood furniture. Full complimentary breakfast. Lovely garden with massage pavilion, outdoor shower. Close to everything, on Copan's most picturesque street.
Terramaya is a modern boutique hotel with just six rooms. Each room has solid wood furniture and nice touches like artisan baskets for the TV and A/C controls. The two on the first floor (rooms 1 & 2) have private patios that face the street. The four upstairs rooms have private balconies. Rooms 5 & 6 have large balconies with great views of the garden. The breakfast, served on the back terrace, is homemade and includes great coffee and fresh fruit. Overall, the four employees including the night watchman are delightful and customer service oriented. In particular, the night receptionist Paola, made sure our stay was perfect. She doubles as an excellent concierge arranging a guide for the ruins and suggesting restaurants. Overall, this was a great option for a weekend visit and the perfect location—walkable to the main plaza and lots of restaurants. My only complaint was the lack of amenities in the bathroom. Only super small bars of generic soap and Head & Shoulders packets are provided. There is no conditioner or body lotion. Make sure to pack your own supplies if you need a specific toiletry.

Hotel Marina Copan, today a modern hotel that jealously guards the town's colonial architectural heritage, is the most comfortable and convenient base for exploring the fascinating Maya World, as well as the diverse natural landscape that the ancient ones left behind.
Spent one night after visiting Copan and arrived during rainy period and had to walk to hotel since our bus could not navigate the narrow streets. Is close to town square but due to rain was not able to enjoy the town and we arrived late afternoon and it was getting dark. My room was on 3rd floor and hard to find as there are many twists and turns but it was comfortable and clean. We arrived in time for Super Bowl and bar had the game for us and restaurant served very good food. I was satisfied but am positive if it had not been raining and had more time to relax and enjoy the town and hotel I would have a better feel. Would not hesitate to stay here as they have no control of the weather. Hotel is authentic and fits with Copan.

Since 1995, La Casa de Cafe is a colonial inspired B&B Inn and a charming and comfortable base from which to explore Copan. All rooms offer oversized windows, hand crafted furniture and open to a shady porch strung with hammocks. Full complimentary breakfast is served in our garden which boasts a spectacular view of the Copan River Valley and the distant mountains of Guatemala. Complimentary coffee (the best in town), herbal teas, iced tea & hot chocolate served any time.
Casa de cafe is excellent. Clean, comfortable and well priced rooms situated within a charming courtyard (even managed to save us from the classic Central American sounds of dogs barking in the night). The breakfast is actually spectacular. The best brekkie that we’ve had whilst travelling. Iguana Azul next door is also great, we spent our first two nights in the Studio attached (very kindly provided with a free upgrade after a booking.com related glitch in the matrix). Copan Ruinas itself is lovely with plenty to see and do nearby, Casa De Cafe served as the perfect accommodation. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Alex and Olivia U.K.

How many hotels have a pool on the third floor? Adropolis Maya Hotel is the only hotel in Copan ruins with a jacuzzi / pool on the third floor from where a beautiful view of the valley and the city appreciated .. Book now!
This hotel is conveniently located close to the Plaza Central and there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, pharmacies and museums in the vicinity. It has hot water, AC in every room, wifi and that rustic little town hotel look. Bed was a little hard and make sure you get an inside room otherwise the street noises will be a problem. The employees were very attentive, nice and accommodating. I will definitely use this hotel again.

Hotel is located in the center of Copan; it is only 15 minutes walk to the Mayan Ruins, close to restaurants and gift shops. It features: 9 comfortable and well-equipped guestrooms. Room facility includes: two semi-orthopedic double beds, private bathrooms, hot water, ceiling fan, flat screen TV, wifi Internet, private balconies with panoramic views, parking on side, laundry service & complimentary housekeeping.
I stayed three nights a this pleasant guest house, and I can strongly recommend it. There was everything I needed for a nice stay -- clean, comfortable room and private bathroom; ceiling fan and air conditioner that really worked; helpful and considerate owner; nice breakfast; and at least from my room, a great view of the mountains to the west, and a nice balcony from which to admire it. It is about four blocks from the central plaza -- not far, but sufficient for a quiet night.

A group of us stayed here and had a very pleasant stay. From the street you couldn't imagine how beautiful this place is. It looks tiny from the street, but it is not. The rooms were very clean and comfortable (for a Honduran hotel). The towels are scratchy and they only give you what you need. But the breakfast is excellent, the pool is warm and the atmosphere is tropical. A very good stay. I would totally come back again.. but bring my own towels.
