We were lucky to get a room with a wife view, “L” shape, and after experiencing the sunset from our bed we just realize that nothing else matters in the hotel However if you care about details, covid mode they deliver breakfast the former afternoon and it is kind of limited, there is no yogurt or fresh milk,... But than you watch the view again and forget about those details We love colonia and for this time of the year and under covid mode, we plan to return soon to the same room

It is a warm Posada Boutique one block from the Historic District, nicely decorated, with spacious common areas, underfloor heating, swimming pool, breakfast buffet. Designed for Responsible Tourism, low standards of environmental protection (with supply solar energy for hot water and underfloor heating)
It was my first time in Colonia del Sacramento and I had a relaxing four-day stay at Posada Boutique Las Terrazas. All of the staff were super friendly and chatted with me every day. My room had a comfy bed and wide windows for ventilation. It faced the pool and garden and it was very calming to hear the water feature. I enjoyed spending afternoons sunbathing at the pool surrounded by all their wonderful plants and flowers. There's complimentary fruit-infused water and hot water and teabags in the dining area, which was very thoughtful. The hotel is also in an ideal location - just on the periphery of the old town, so it wasn't too busy but easy to walk to all the sights.

Situated along the banks of the Rio de la Plata in one of Uruguay's oldest cities, Radisson Hotel Colonia del Sacramento is the perfect destination for a rejuvenating retreat. Walk to the beach or to Colonia's 17th-century Barrio Histórico, which offers several UNESCO World Heritage sites to explore.
I stayed at this hotel one night while exploring Colonia. I’m super glad I made such a decision! From the moment I entered the building, I was greeted with lovely smiles and hospitality, which kickstarted an overall five-star experience. The location is in the heart of the town center, close to the historic district’s public plazas, shops, and restaurants, as well as anything else you’d want to do. Views of the Rio de la Plata simply can’t be beat, and I was fortunate enough to receive an upgraded room with that view. Five stars on location and ambiance! Service was top-notch. I can’t remember all the names of everybody working to ensure I had a great stay, but it was definitely every single employee. Some spoke English better than others, but each had a passion for delivering the utmost Uruguayan hospitality. As a wheelchair user, I felt looked after and treated very well. Whenever I needed help, I could ask and someone would be at the ready. Rooms were basic, but the views made up for any simplicity in terms of amenities. A balcony with chairs and a table added to the experience big-time. Everything was clean. The only downside to my room was that the balcony door didn’t completely close, which I feared could invite insects and inclement weather on different days. However, I realize nothing is perfect, and having the door slightly open made zero impact on my stay. Breakfast was included in my rate, which was a huge plus; the selection was very good. Other amenities like the outdoor pool and a fitness center are available too. Wifi is free. Travelers won’t be desiring too much more than what is already offered by the hotel; this place anticipates travelers’ needs and delivers effectively. Lastly, a small tip…try coming in and booking your room directly at the hotel front desk. Perhaps it’s the familiar “he/she has a clear disability and I want to help out” kind of thing, but when I requested a room at the check-in counter, I was able to get a rate lower than anywhere I previously found online. And I mean, much lower. Plus tax and everything. So this might be worthwhile to attempt for my readers as well! Thank you for a spectacular stay! I encourage everyone to stay at this Radisson.

A beautiful antique house completely renovated, located in downtown Colonia del Sacramento turned into a modern and cozy inn where your stay will be unforgettable. Its design and the combination of different materials were carefully selected to achieve a permanent connection between outdoor and indoor areas. Fountains, fireplace, gardens, lovely and comfortable rooms.
Exceptional little boutique hotel ! It has all the nice touches that are often missing in such places, is super central, spotlessly clean, and has an owner / manager ( Marta ) that could not be more helpful. English is spoken ( as well as Spanish of course ). As Colonia is a popular place in which people enter Uruguay, many folks will need to get themselves set up with a Sim card for their phone - they have the SIM cards at the front desk provided free of charge! Marta even helped me install it, set it up and buy a data plan with the phone company since I was struggling with the language. Above and beyond !

me encantó el lugar, la huerta, la comida. el trato en general. pero la verdad vi una escena entre empleados que quita seriedad al lugar, esas cosas mejor dejarlas para afuera, una lastima la verdad...

The Viajero Colonia B & B is located in the Historic District, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, facing the River Plate and 300 meters from the Port and the bus station. Our hostel has 14 double rooms and "twin" rooms, all with private bathroom, AC, heating, cable TV and Internet. Other services that we include are breakfast, hot water every day, laundry service, public telephone and bicycle rental. Colonia is considered the most beautiful city in Uruguay, thanks to the museums, the old city, the Playa Mayor, its restaurants and, without doubt, the lighthouse… It has a beautiful view of the city, the parks, the beaches and the beautiful Rio de la Plata. We organize different activities such as barbecues, walks around the city, horse riding on the outskirts and on the beach, visits to museums, tours of the National Parks, tours of the rancherias and cheese shops that make our famous cheese. Visit us and fall in love with Uruguay!
Great location close to the old town and a short walk from the bus station and ferry port. Close to many restaurants. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and Wi-Fi was fast

Located in one of the most picturesque places in Uruguay, Dazzler Colonia offers a relaxing stay just minutes away from historic Colonia el Sacramento. On the Rambla de las Americas, the hotel has 61 rooms, a gym, solarium, sauna, Jacuzzi, heated indoor pool, and outdoor pool. Enjoy panoramic views of the sunset over the Rio de la Plata.
Amazingly, this hotel lacks a parking lot or garage. Guest cars are aligned on the sidewalk or crowded in an “open parking lot” in the rear. This is an euphemism the hotel uses to name an open area anyone can access, dark, no vogilance space. Lobby is located 50 yards from street, no car can come closer. So you have to load your bags on hand (rain, cold or whatever the weather might be). Room has good space but decoration is poor. Flooring tiles totally unpleassant, cold, appropiate for an outdoor space only, not for a beedroom. Architects for this building need to go back to the university. Tried to call for two hours to announce a late check in, and no one answered. On arrival, only one staff member was at the lobby, and the phone was ringing without answer. Very poor experience.

Ok, the hotel is fine. It is quaint and al. These houses and buildings are old as dirt so expecting some immaculate five star ultra clean experience is unrealistic. Everyone is very very nice. I would advise this though and i agree that colonia ks really only good for a day trip. There is not really a lot to do. Also, warning, the air quality, because all the burning wood is extremely unhealthy. If you have asthma or such? Come here, look around for two hours and then get out. Seriously.
