We stayed here the last week of March while visiting friends in the area. We stayed in a North Tower Suite on the8th floor. For simplicity, I will divide this review into HOTEL, CASINO, and RESTAURANTS. HOTEL Pros: Check in and check out was fast and easy In-room Keurig with coffee and tea Two bathrooms: one full bath, one half bath Comfortable bed and pillows Very clean and quiet A/C worked great Excellent housekeeping Cons: The room was painted in a pale steely blue which made it seem unwelcoming and gloomy Carpet looked like it was designed in the 1970s No bottled water in the room CASINO Pros: They had a few classic three-reel machines that we like Very clean establishment Cons: Machines are UNBELIEVABLY, EXCRUCIATINGLY TIGHT. I do not recommend gaming here AT ALL. Just…don’t do it. Drink service is non-existent No self-serve soft drink stations, not even water Entry and re-entry from the side door means you will be stopped and photographed by security personnel for no apparent reason. RESTAURANTS Pros: Prime Steakhouse had great food and service Cons: All restaurants (except the steakhouse and coffee shop) are closed. If you need food after 9:00 pm, you are out of luck. Nothing is open and you will have to go without.

I’ve never had a bad experience at a Drury Inn and this was no exception. Sadly, my flight arrived too late to enjoy the 5:30 Kickback—if you’ve never done it don’t let the description fool you. It is not a snack, it’s a full-on meal. I did enjoy the fabulous breakfast buffet the next morning. The room was spotless and the staff was exceptional. I had a late burger in the on-site bar and it was quite good. All in all a fantastic experience!

I regularly travel from my home in the Midwest to my office in the Tempe, Arizona area, and I now ALWAYS stay at this Hampton Inn (even though there are many hotels closer to my office location) because the reception staff at the Hampton Inn Chandler-Fashion Center is simply exceptional. They go above and beyond the call, and always with great cheer. The hotel has my loyalty because of its staff. Highly recommended.

The location was nice and convenient, we felt safe at this hotel. Pool was nice but could use some deep cleaning of the pool itself and the blue cushions on the lounge chairs. The majority of the staff were extremely friendly (Carl W. and the dark haired girl in the restaurant were exceptional!!). We stayed here for a week and experienced some great things and some not so great things during our stay (mostly due to lack of staffing). There are very few employees that run this place and they should be commended on the job they do. Disliked · Our handicap accessible bathroom (which we didn't need, that's a whole other story) shower flooded the entire bathroom every day until we designed a "towel dam". Known issue by hotel (they understand that it is the design of the room itself). For this reason, the room should be deeply discounted. Note: We're not handicapped and used the shower normally without the aid of the chair. Housekeeping only once a week on the day of our choice, which was offset by towel delivery, etc. This is unacceptable for the price that is being charged by this hotel and should be disclosed at booking. Some of the front desk girls could care less about taking care of guest needs (they are busy on their phones) and truly do not care while others are extremely polite and helpful. We chose this hotel over the other nearby ones because of the services offered. Booking.com should remove the services that aren't being performed or at least put wording that indicates such (disclosure is everything). Pool bar is non existent (not open) and pictures should be removed from website unless it is open to guests. Rooms need to be vacuumed along the edges, there's a lot of dust there. Lack of staffing was the reason for nearly every issue we encountered. Update: Hotel said that I didn't make them aware of the issues while I was there according to Booking.com. Lie. So Booking.com finally made a financial adjustment for our inconvenience because the hotel would not offer anything to us.

Hyatt Place Phoenix/Chandler-Fashion Center is located in the heart of Chandler's high-tech district on West Chandler Boulevard, located right next to the Chandler Fashion Center. The hotel features 129 suite guestrooms for a more comfortable and spacious stay. The extra space is perfect for family weekend get always or extended business trips!
I've stayed here 3 times mainly due to the location which is very convenient to the office and 101/202 freeways. Unfortunately, the hotel needs updating. Carpeting is really worn out and dirty and the sofa in the room is stained and should be replaced. It's very uncomfortable, as is the bed. Sometimes the front desk is left unattended. We'll be staying elsewhere in the future.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, pandemic, etc., this place is in tremendous need of some major TLC. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great people working here and the rooms are still in decent shape but it is evident that they are very short staffed. The employees are very nice. Anthony, the manager, and Steve at the front desk are both great. Lupe in the kitchen is on top of things. She’s not afraid to chase off people who try to bring dogs into the kitchen or the nasty folks who grab food without using serving utensils which are in clear view. She puts out some of the better quality hotel foods I’ve had. I clean my own room just because I like things done a certain way but, Maria, the housekeeper on our floor, never failed to provide us with everything we needed during our long stay. Now, unfortunately, for the bad. The floor we were on had filthy common areas. Garbage and crumbs all over the place. When we stayed at the Homewood Suites in SLC, housekeeping was top-notch and they had a fantastic system in place. If I needed something, all I had to do was leave my towels or empty items by my door outside and they would pick up what I had. Based on what they picked up, they would leave new, fresh items, contained inside a new garbage bag, and tie it to the door handle outside of my room. I never had to chase a cart or visit the front desk for any supplies. I called housekeeping and got a voice recording from what sounded like “Anna,” the executive housekeeper. I left a message informing “Anna” about the mess in the common areas and asked for a return call so that I could tell her about the wonderful method used by the hotel in SLC. She never returned my call. Interestingly enough, I discovered a review I left on this same property from April, 2016 regarding this same “uber self-important” executive housekeeper. Same ol’, Same ol’. Front desk didn’t listen either. I was informed they are extremely short-staffed and the GM is a dual general manager. I was also informed that the executive housekeeper is “Emma,” not Anna. They told me to either call or visit the front desk if I need anything. I tried to explain the idea but it fell on deaf ears. Great! Just what I was trying to avoid. But thanks for listening! The fitness center has two elliptical machines, three treadmills, a stationary bike, most of a barbell set, a couple of weight benches, some yoga mats, a stretch machine, etc. Our stay lasted about 8 weeks. During the entire stay, none of the treadmills worked. When I inquired as to when they might be fixed, there was a definite, “We don’t know. They need parts.” Okay, thank goodness for my Planet Fitness membership. NOTE: I just went down to take pics and now that we are leaving, one of the treadmills has actually been repaired! Great for future guests but does nothing for me now. See pics. There are two floors with washers and dryers. Of the three washers and four dryers on the fourth floor, only two washers and two dryers are operational. Of the two sets on the second floor, two washers and one dryer are operational. See pics. Again, these remained broken from the time we checked in until the time we left. Just lousy, especially when you have rude guests who believe the world revolves around them and their laundry and they decide to leave their stuff behind for hours while others wait. You know who you are. Set a timer on your cell phone and be responsible or I can be rude too. Look for your clothes in a nearby trash bin. The common area on our floor eventually got swept, once. As of this writing, there is a water bottle cap on the floor, just outside of the elevator. Been there about a week. Guess they’re waiting for the pile of crumbs and trash to accumulate before they go to all the trouble of cleaning it up again. The entire feel of the place was completely unlike Homewood Suites in SLC which said, “Welcome to your home away from home.” This place says, “UGH! We can’t wait until you leave! And please hurry!” My hope is that this place will hire some more quality individuals and that it can receive the TLC it desperately needs. I will miss Chandler but I look forward to leaving this hotel. Should we ever return, we will look for a different long-term stay hotel for our trip.
