A wonderful holiday
Reviewed By RMH613We stayed in this truly exquisite resort earlier this month. We really appreciated the personalised welcome upon arrival with a glass of prosecco and intro to the resort with a tour to our room. The grounds are lovingly manicured and picture perfect. Our villetta was also perfectly maintained and the views from the terrace, beautiful. We sampled all of the restaurants, each of which provided a great standard and variety of food. During the day the riva bar by the sea is a must and at sunset, the Palazzo terrace restaurant is delightful (you need to book for the latter). The staff genuinely seem to love their jobs and are so friendly and helpful. The GO’s put on a great show in the evening, what a talented bunch! We saw a Bridgerton themed performance and a Queen tribute act while there. There is a dress code in the eve that is recommended which we initially wondered how many people would actually adhere to - it turned out to be quite fun with most people joining in, though it’s not overly serious. There is a helpful path just outside the entrance to the resort which leads you straight down some steps and along the beach promenade to Cefalu town (est 20-30 min walk)- definitely worth a trip. Also, if you just need a few essentials, there’s a pretty decent supermarket just over the road from the resort. I read a few reviews highlighting that this is a very French resort, exercise classes in French, language spoken in restaurant etc. Indeed it is - as Brits we were one of very few non French guests, which, given our French is not fluent, did make it a little challenging for us to understand a few things at times. But, that’s our fault for not speaking another language fluently! It did mean we had to brush up a bit on that. Thank you very much to the team at Club Med Cefalu for a lovely holiday.

A true luxury family owned hotel of great individuality and charm. The restaurant though not cheap is a cut above the rest and the bar man knew every cocktail you could mention in 5 languages

Quaint hotel
Reviewed By egatt82This hotel is located in a place where one can easily reach the beach in a couple of minutes. It offers a private parking some 200m away from the property. The rooms are tidy, and the pressure in the shower is to die for. We had room number 6 next to the lift but there was no noise at all. A big thumbs up to Dario who was at Reception and was very accommodating and helpful. Dario, thanks for the restaurant suggestion- we were pleasantly surprised how good it was. The fish was superb!

Situato a circa 5 metri dalla bellissima spiaggia di Cefalù ed a 7 minuti a piedi da centro storico, il magnifico e nuovissimo Hotel a 4 stelle plus dispone di 27 camere elegantissime, moderne e lussuose. Il SUNSET Hotel dispone, inoltre, di un ristorante, una SPA ed una piscina panoramica a sfioro sul rooftop della struttura.

Reviewed By Anmue1974My sister and I spent 3 nights at this wonderful hotel and could have easily spent another week at this gem. Sunset Hotel is modern and new with beautiful outdoor spaces, a private beach just across the road and a stunning eternity pool on the roof. Rooms are immaculately clean, mattresses and pillows of very high standard and the water power in the shower is great. We had a seaview room with a lovely and spacious balcony and even though it was close to the road, it was very quiet. Beautiful Cefalu town centre is a 7 minute walk away and there is a big, well stocked supermarket a 4 minute walk away. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals, cold meats, cheese and lots of fresh fruits. The coffee was delicious. What impressed us most is the staff at Sunset Hotel: We had not come across such warm, friendly and welcoming people in a long time (and we travelled a lot). Everyone (reception staff, cleaners, service staff and the owner Alberto) were lovely and attentive without being "too much" or intense as it can sometimes happen. My sister had a terrible toothache and everyone who heard about it was genuinely concerned about her. Alberto even called his friend who is a dentist as it was a bank holiday so nothing was open. The dentist very kindly saw my sister on his day off and was able to help her which was very kind of him and saved our holiday. We were very sad to leave as we felt totally at home at the Sunset Hotel. We can highly recommend this lovely place and will definitely be back in autumn.

Reviewed By SWHN16At B&B Lirma you get the best of both sides of Cefalu. You are staying in a family home in a residential area yet close to the old town of Cefalu. Very close to the beach and the promenade. A 10 minute walk to many many lovely restaurants. The bedrooms are very nicely furnished and bathrooms very well fitted out. Would recommend for families, couples, singles etc. finally a mention for the delicious breakfasts including a different homemade cake every day!

Our four star rated hotel is uniquely located, our hotel provides numerous opportunities for leisure and sport activities, such as biking, snorkeling, diving, paddling, tennis, table tennis and hiking. We have three conference halls of different size, a piano bar, a playground, a spacious swimming pool and a children's pool, a private beach with a bathing platform, including deckchairs and sunshades free of charge, and a big private parking lot as well free of charge. Reviewed By Meander435566My stay began with a greeting from the resident dog who marked hi territory throughout the lobby. This included carpets and furnishings. Then, I was placed in a room that had absolutely no view and was not offered an upgrade, even though the hotel was not completely booked. During my stay, I encountered a medical emergency with a close family member and needed to depart early. Not only were they unsympathetic, they actually charged me for a night I did not stay. Mind you, I paid twice the amount per night that was advertised on their site. They were rude, inconsiderate and inhospitable! There was also no acclamation services to the hotel.

A quiet retreat
Reviewed By Charles FMy wife and I had a three night stay here. I liked the hotel. It was clean comfortable with lovely staff. The food however was merely average. I like al dente pasta, but some of the pasta was undentable!!. The evening meal was set without choices, but they did cope well with my wife’s dietary restrictions. We enjoyed our stay
