An ancient town of just under 3,000 between Florence and Siena, picture-perfect Castellina In Chianti is set in the wine-famous Chianti Hills. The many wonderful sights include the imposing 14th-century Rocca (Fortress), offering spectacular views of the town and surrounding countryside, the 16th-century San Salvatore church and the Via delle Volte medieval arched passageway. Just outside of town are the pre-Roman Etruscan burial tombs of Monte Calvario and the Necropolis of Poggino.

Salivolpi is an old farmhouse from 1400, situated on the hill where stood the ancient Etruscan Castellina, the old town of Castellina in Chianti is in walking distance. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees, enjoy a panorama that sweeps over the valley, from Monteriggioni to San Gimignano. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Siena, 30 from Florence and San Gimignano. Our rooms with authentic decor in rustic Tuscan style, with wrought iron beds and wooden beams, are equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, Wi-Fi and a minibar. A cozy breakfast room, a large garden, swimming pool and parking available for guests.
Beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by stunning scenery next to the small village of Castellina in Chianti! Arriving towards the beginning of the tourist season on 12th May for a wedding close by and would have stayed longer than 4 days if I could. The staff were kind and helpful without being invasive. The rooms were spacious, charming and filled with character (definitely not a chain hotel), immaculate and cleaned daily with fresh towel change. Breakfast was served in the beautiful gardens each morning, with one of the best continental selections I’ve seen in any hotel! It felt like a private villa as we practically had the pool to ourselves, added bonus if you’re going as a group and can book out the whole place! Drinks (beer, wine, Prosecco, Aperol Sprits and soft drinks with snacks) were served out through the hatch into the garden! Though they didn’t serve afternoon and evening meals, a short stroll to the village provided an abundance of restaurants and delis! Each as lovely as the next, and perfect for meals or just a drink to people watch, as villagers passed calling out greetings to each other. Top Tip: I recommend driving as taxi are hard to come by locally and can be expensive. A real hidden gem, I have nothing bad to say about the hotel, staff or location!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this small boutique hotel in Tuscany! The setting is wonderful, beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside at every turn. The grounds were immaculate and beautifully appointed with flowers. The service here is outstanding, from the reception, to the housekeeping, and fantastic waitstaff at the bar and restaurant. We were greeted with a surprise upgraded room overlooking the pool and Tuscan countryside, one of the most beautiful views from any room we have ever stayed at! The room was very large, including the bathroom, and exceptionally clean and well appointed. The food was so good that we ate at the hotel restaurant Il Cortile all three nights. Don’t miss the vegetarian antipasti, the presentation (and taste) is exceptional. Very good wine recommendations from the waitstaff for fantastic local Chianti wines. The breakfast room was lovely and the food was excellent with many choices. Too chilly for a swim but we did have a lovely, quiet afternoon by the pool enjoying the traditional Spritz. Christina and Nadia will provide excellent concierge services. They arranged taxi service to and from Siena for an easy day trip. The hotel is a bit far from Castellina In Chianti so you will need a car or they can arrange a taxi. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at this lovely Tuscan farmhouse boutique hotel! We will be back for sure!

We came here for a relaxing break once the Covid restrictions had eased and that is just what we got. We enjoyed a mixture of visits to some of the many Tuscany sights with lazy days spent at the hotel in shady and peaceful spots in the grounds. This small hotel has wonderful views on all sides, an excellent pool, comfortable rooms and great food delivered by the lovely couple who own and run it.

An old farmhouse, harmoniously situated in the traditional and magical frame of the Chianti hills, 1 km from Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany... the ideal place for discovering the enchantment of Siena, the suggestive charm of Florence, the towers of S. Gimignano, the Etruscan Volterra, Pisa and the sea.13 Lovely double bedrooms with private bathroom and a beautiful view on the landscape. All the bedrooms have old ceiling stones and the typical Tuscan terracotta floors. The whole property is surrounded by a park, as well as the swimming-pool too is encircled by the greenery, perfectly fitted in the surrounding background. From the swimming-pool set you may enjoy a fascinating view on the Chianti hills
The property is very tired. The first room we were offered was very pokey, with a toilet that broke after the first flush and what amounted to a screw, sticking out of the wall for a toilet roll holder. We asked to be moved and were given another, slightly better room. The bathroom again was not particularly good - it was so silly, as for just a few euros it could be improved by changing the light bulb above the sink, buying a plug for the sink plug hole and cleaning the shower head so that you get a decent flow of water. There was a safe, but this was free standing on the side - so we did not feel inclined to use this at it just highlights to any potential thief that all of our valuables are stored in here, but you can just pick it and take it away! Dotted around the outside of the garden are lots of 'Do Not Enter' signs - not very welcoming. We asked for 2 wine glasses and 2 water glasses, and they were given very grudgingly because apparently the owner did not allow. They were whisked away the next morning. See picture for Rules and Regulations! It is frankly suspicious that they only accept cash. We arrived on the Monday to be told the restaurant does not open on Mondays. We ate there on the Tuesday and the meal was adequate. Breakfasts are delivered to you at the table - there is no choice. They are again adequate. The shame of this place is it has so much potential, the views are stunning, with a little investment it could really be something magical. The saving grace for us was in the guise of Sara and the young guy who served at meal times ... both were absolutely lovely and meant we rated this as Poor and not lower.

Our Camping is in the heart of Tuscany (near Siena, Volterra, Monteriggioni and more). Quiet and relaxing place near to the most beautiful places in Tuscany, who can place their tents, caravans and campers on comfortable grassy and shade pitches. You can also choose a glamour way to stay in our new Glamping Tents. We offer restaurant with pizza, fish or meat specialties , swimming pools for adults and children, bar, mini supermarket, WiFi Free and all pets are welcome.
The campsite is nice, however do not expect to get any "peaceful time in nature" as the bar right next to the text pitches is hosting loud parties until very late therefore we weren't able to sleep. Although I do like partying, I also enjoy a god night's sleep after a very long day of exploring this beautiful region. All in all, I definitely do not recommend this place.

Villa Cristina is a beautiful property located in the Art Nouveau style in the adorable Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of the Rooster Nero.La Villa has 6 double bedrooms, one of which is in the Tower, with panoramic views over the Val d'Elsa. Each room is equipped with every comfort for a pleasant and relaxing stay, with the possibility of being able to read a good book on our main terrace or take a dip in our pool in the back garden. Private parking for guests and breakfast service included. Free wi-fi network in order to connect to the Internet and the possibility of wine tasting and local products.
We had booked a stay at the hotel ten months in advance and we also got a confirmation. Three weeks before the stay, the hotel contacted us and told us that they had given our rooms to some bicyclists and that they had cancelled our reservation. We had of course aldready paid flights, train tickets and activities. I would never dare to make a reservation at Villa Cristina as they behave like this.

What a great place to stay in Tuscany. Selena was a very welcoming host, helping with parking, places to see, things to do, etc. We love staying in B&B's like this, well priced and situated right in the middle of town. Castellina is a beautiful little town in Chianti with plenty of character and a bit of Etruscan history. Loved our stay here.
