Room was spotless and looked recently decorated. Fridge was welcome and generous amount of tea/coffee/milk provided. Bed was comfortable, wifi was excellent and puts a well known budget hotel company's "ultimate" wifi to shame. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, service was fast. Couldn't fault our stay, would very happily visit again.

Commanding a spectacular position at the gateway to the Golden West, the Ivy Bush Royal has long welcomed leisure and business guests in considerable comfort and style.Once a favoured retreat for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, the hotel has been sympathetically modernised to blend its old world charm with modern facilities. There are 70 comfortably furnished bedrooms, 2 family rooms and a suite.
Stayed here end of April as train only goes as far as Carmarthen from fishgaurd, night porter was friendly, went into the bedroom even though the the bed was clean and comfortable the furniture really needed serious updating carpet was very dirty, the furniture was all peeling, in the corner was a chair against a door obviously leading to another room that was occupied at that time. In the bathroom (disabled I should mention ) it was actually spotless too yes needs updating, one thing I should mention in the shower it need a thing to hold shampoo and gel etc. Breakfast was fine plenty to choose from, I did notice a lot of painting in the lobby and in the restaurant and new carpet so hopefully they will start on the bedrooms soon, I would stay again for convenience sake .

Located in the heart of Carmarthen, the historical Falcon Hotel has been the hotel of choice for visitors to this bustling market town for generations. For the past 50 years the hotel has been run by the Exton family. With 16 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, a talented team of chefs creating delicious dining, and impressive customer service, it is easy to see to why guests keep coming back time and again to this proud independent hotel. Here you can relax and take advantage of that good old fashioned hospitality that is so difficult to find these days. From the moment you enter you are made to feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for the friendly and attentive staff.
Not busy Limited menu really we had veg stew and Cheddar dumplings which was very nice but my preference would be that it could be hotter Nice waiter very polite He had to say twice to the next customers that the veg stew had run out so I'm thinking it may have been warmed in the microwave it came out too quickly for my liking even though it was tasty

Our busy bar and restaurant provide quality ales and premium lagers, serving prime welsh steak, fish and seafood, quality local produce, and luscious desserts. We are a comfortable 40 minutes drive from the ferry port of Pembroke Dock, and about 50 minutes from Fishguard. We are easy to find. Parking is plentiful- there are large car parks within 50 yards, and coach parking close by. Just follow signs for the town centre.
Love calling in here. Called in for a few cocktails. Atmosphere lovely as always and enjoyed watching my rugby team win. Staff very friendly. Lovely to see a few dogs allowed to join us in the bar. Will always call there for a drink as there's always a welcome

Stayed for 2 nights for £70 a night, the room is a little worn and could do with some TLC, the ariel for the TV was broken but not an issue for us as we were out most of the time. The breakfast was good 6 out of 10, the bed was very comfy.

This is a proper family guest house where everything is done to make your stay feel like you are in a real home. Phil is a great host. the breakfast is wonderful and he catered for the vegetarians in our group very well. so nice to know the eggs at breakfast come from the hens in the garden and the homemade bread is a wonderful touch and very nice. The location is very quiet and handy for visiting so many areas of west wales

We are located in the wonderful, rural Carmarthenshire countryside just 10 minutes scenic drive from the historic market town of Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales. We are centrally situated to access the many beautiful beaches of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, and all major tourist attractions in the area.
We were feeling fed up having a holiday cancelled at the last minute so decided to have a few days away and came across this B&B just by chance on the internet. We had a wonderful 4 night stay and everything was absolutely top notch. Room was warm, comfortable , excellent facilities ,lovely bathroom and shower ,would loved to have tried the beautiful deep free standing bath but being rather mature was worried I might not be able to get out so I decided to stick with the power shower. Lovely and peaceful surroundings ,you do need a car though it's quite remote but that's what we wanted and only a short drive into Carmarthen where there are plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was amazing so much choice I didn't bother with the full English, pancakes with apples, yoghurt and maple syrup were my favourite and I succumbed to those twice, the cilwen crumble another favourite with granola, seasonal fruits yoghurt and oats ,omelettes yes I tried them all absolutely delicious followed by homemade toasted bread and homemade jams. Adrian and Jeff were so nice and friendly nothing was too much trouble for them .loved the chickens and guinea fowl that serenaded us while we are our breakfast. We will definitely come back had a lovely few days and there was absolutely nothing not to like .

Really enjoyed the food here on a Saturday afternoon! We both had cockles and lava bread to start, for main I had Shish kebabs and other half had ribs, he was debating to add a steak or chicken to it and was glad he didn’t as the portion was massive!! Reasonably priced for what we had I thought, definitely go back.
