The Dolphin Lodge is located in a region fully preserved with loads of dolphins, birds, monkeys, alligators and other animals of the Amazon region. It's a rustic construction of wooden buildings with thatched roof devided in 4 modules: 1st module: restaurant reception, bar and kitchen 2nd module: Cottage with 6 double rooms with private bathrooms and balconies 3rd module: Cottage with 2 triple rooms with private bathrooms and balconies 4th module: straw hat rustic greenhouse with hammocks for rest. The Dolphin Lodge is situated on the left bank of the Rio Mamori, 78 miles southeast of Manaus. The transfer is done in speedboat passing the Meeting of the Waters, then van or minibus, and finally on the last stretch, again speedboats, through creeks. Throughout the trip will have the opportunity to photograph the Amazon landscape and enjoy the diversity of flora and fauna that make our world's richest forest.
Our 9-member family spent Christmas at Dolphin Lodge, and it was a great experience. My parents, in their 70´s, were treated with the most care during the jungle trips. They had hammocks brought to them, steps out of wood for them to be able to climb... this was all provided by our guide, Pepe, and our canoe driver, Guarison. They went all the way to give our family and outstanding experience. At Christmas eve, the owner of the lodge (Seu Mocinho) came to spend the evening with his guests and prepared a super-special dinner, just incredible! Food at the lodge is VERY good at all meals. We were traveling with children, and it was perfect. The lodges are correct (some of them have air conditioner). Ours did not but that was fine, we had a fan running during the night and it was enough. They clean and fresh up the lodges twice a day. They are very nice, with two resting seats at the front were you can relax. Forget wifi and Internet, you won´t miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thank Dolphin Lodge for giving my family such an experience and great memories for life.

Amazon Mamori Hostel is the first jungle hostel of Hostel International, located 3 hours from Manaus, we work with packages that include accommodation, transfers from Manaus(airport or hotel), full board and ecological tours, packages starting at 2 days and 3 nights, until survival in the jungle 6 days and 5 nights, please contact us and we will take you in to know the true adventure in the Amazon

The Juma Eco Lodge is a rustic jungle hotel located on the Juma river 100km south of Manaus. The region is famous for its primary rain forest and vast wild life of birds, monkeys, sloths, pink and grey river dolphins, caimans, snakes, spiders, rodents and more. We offer 12 private apartments with air condition and private bathroom. Our packages includes transfer from airport or your hotel in Manaus, 3 meals daily and 2 excursions with native English speaking guide. The restaurant offers vegetarian dishes.
The photos are very deceptive!! This place turned out to be a real dump. It is is run by a couple/family that cook and take you on tours. Most of the "staff" there barely speak any English so we didn't even understand a lot of what was being said on the tours! Luckily there was a Portuguese speaking family that did the translations. The food is basic and offerings are pretty much the same meal to meal. The rooms are dusty, dirty and while they have an AC and fan they are not effective at all. If you are working thru an agent by the name of Jackson then beware!! I was under the impression he booked us at Juma Lodge but it turned out to be this dump of a place Juma ECO Lodge - subtle difference. The agent at the port refused to take us unless we paid him $300 cash which was due at the lodge via credit card. The lodge doesn't even have a credit card machine! Overall a very bad experience...we couldn't wait to get out of there.
