Wanted a little get away this weekend and I found this hotel to be the perfect location. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to hotel rooms but I just couldn’t fault it! Clean, tidy and great service from all staff. It’s not too far from the city centre, is near by to Peterborough’s new theatre and was able to enjoy my visit there without the worry of costs to get home. I found the whole hotel to be very stylish, my cup of tea?.

From the exquisite décor in every room to complimentary tours of the city in our classic coach-built Bentleys, experience is at the heart of every stay. You can even take a Gonville bicycle to see the city under your own steam, very Cambridge indeed! Gonville Hotel offers two delicious dining options. A fine-dining restaurant with a British seasonal menu, perfect for special occasions. And our more relaxed alfresco Garden Restaurant which offers a safe indoor/outdoor experience in an upscale casual environment. Ideal for meeting with friends and loved ones. Private gardens, wellness rooms, live jazz, a love of dogs and a true sense of individuality make Gonville Hotel the perfect destination for unforgettable experiences and exceptional stays.
Birthday night away. Lovely hotel, great breakfast and would come back. Sad that on our visit the classic cars weren’t available. One minor issue is that we were woken at 4am by a mechanical buzzing noise in the bathroom. Complained the following morning to be offered free parking as a small recompense. Disappointed as neither of us slept after the disturbance.

The Varsity Hotel & Spa is located on the edge of the picturesque River Cam in the heart of Cambridge and just yards from St John's, Trinity and Magdalene College. Ideally situated for punting, shopping, sight-seeing and nightlife, The Varsity hotel guests are truly immersed in the culture and charm of Cambridge life from the moment they arrive. Recharge in the wonderful Elemis spa before soaking up the beautiful skyline with drinks on the hotel's roof terrace, afternoon tea or dinner in the Six Panoramic Bar & Restaurant. Alternatively, guests can indulge in a hearty meal in the River Bar Steakhouse & Grill. Valet parking available from 7 am to 10 pm for hotel's guests.
The hotel is in an excellent location. We used the valet parking rather than using a car park. The roof top bar (when open) is great. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy. A little bit dated but the bed very comfortable. It is a pity there is not a bar to have a drink other than the roof top. Breakfast is just a continental buffet style with a cooked one on offer at an extra cost. This is a pity as it is not a cheap hotel and a cooked breakfast ought to be included. We didn't use the spa. It is accessed by going out of the hotel. The restaurant was nice, we did not use the steakhouse, again this is accessed by going out of the hotel. Overall it was a nice place to stay

Unlike other local accommodation, The Fellows House offers guests the flexibility to stay exactly how they want through thoughtfully-designed facilities, an open-minded culture that encourages the sharing of knowledge and a unique location at the junction between old and new Cambridge. It's all part of our mission to ensure everyone experiences the City like a Fellow - inspired and enabled to get the most from their time here by feeling truly at home.
Came to Cambridge for a two day getaway with my family. Chose this hotel because the website said that 'children enjoy a Kids Welcome and a dedicated Kids Breakfast experience'. We weren't given either; the website also states that there are a range of kids amenities, there are adult only times at the pool which limits when children are able to use it. They're not able to use the gym, the only other facilities are a pool table which my kids were told off for using because they put the cue tip on the floor. Can't fault the hotel itself, spacious rooms, good facilities, ideal location just not the standard I would expect from a Hilton hotel.

hotel was very nice and the theme is a great touch. room decor is brilliant. breakfast was a little poor. we were advised to go for breakfast early as it would be very busy after 9am. went down at 8am when not too busy, however breakfast items kept running out and then a lot of having to wait around waiting on the items to be refilled while the rest of your food went cold. need to be more on top of refilling the items when getting low. running out of items during non-busy service is not really ideal, especially when the restaurant was not even at peak capacity.

We stayed 3 nights for a wedding in the area. Excellent location but it was all the staff that really impressed us from the concierges, reception, handyman, housekeeping and breakfast and bar staff. True professionals with a friendly manner.

The room looked dinghy. Window wouldn’t close properly so very noisy from traffic. Bed was so lumpy got no sleep. No remote for tv. Soap dispenser and the extractor fan didn’t work. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. Just a poor room. Won’t stay again.

This beautiful hotel in Cambridge city centre was a former University-owned building on Trumpington Street which has been transformed to enhance its many quirky architectural features.Forty one bedrooms and suites, some with private terraces, have been carved out of the former University-owned building, alongside our trademark bistro with the first Hotel du Vin open-style kitchen and curiously labyrinthine cellar bar. Dating back in part to medieval times, Hotel du Vin Cambridge boasts a cosy library, private events room perfect for special occasions, meetings and events. The bistro and bar are available for residents, locals and visitors alike at Hotel du Vin & Bistro Cambridge.
I don’t usually bother leaving reviews these days, as the nitpicking is drowning out the considered opinions. However, I do want to credit HDV for its excellent service and hotel. The staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The rooms were great and the central location put all of Cambridge at your doorstep. I would recommend staying here.

The Centennial is located within walking distance of the rail station and a longer distance from the academic center. It is well maintained and very clean although the lack of a lift will need a hike up the stairs with the baggage. Our room was a rather compact twin but the beds were comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep. Bathroom was similarly compact but with a plentiful supply of hot water for the shower promptly available - no running for an interminable wait. I cannot comment on the free breakfast as neither my son nor I eat substantially at that time of day; I can say, however, that the basement breakast room is clean, neat with white tablecloths and tended by a helpful staff. Reception staff was welcoming and helpful.
