Good hotel in the centre of Calw.
Reviewed By jb-tbThis is a good hotel with nice modern and clean rooms. Although the bathroom was on the small side, it had a nice rain shower and was equipped with all the modern conveniences. The adjacent square produced some noise at night, but due to the excellent sound insulation, we were not bothered by that with the windows closed. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have air conditioning, which made the room a bit stuffy and hot (and also a bit damp). The breakfast, although not too extensive, was of good quality. Dinner was surprisingly good: good healthy German cuisine with a few oriental twists. The WiFi password was renewed every morning, something to keep in mind. We could start the beautiful premium hiking trail "Wasser-, Wald- und Wiesenpfad" directly from this hotel, ideal when not in possession of your own car. Overall, recommended.

Great Stay
Reviewed By SDMcGeeHad all we needed: Comfortable bed, small but very workable kitchenette, very clean, free parking and right across the street from the old center of Calw. Our unit was a studio with a nice balcony. Calw is an attractive little town with bakeries and restaurants. It took us a few passes before we actually found Hermann's Neue Post but I'll make it easier for you. Along the main street (strasse) there are two bridges. One is Marktbrucke and the other is Nickalusbrucke. On the other side of the road between the two bridges is the apartments. They are next to a very large parking structure. Park in the parking structure and go to the street you'll be facing the river turn to your left. You'll see the sign for Hermann's Neue Post, it's orange, green and black. It's hard to miss on street level but easy to miss while your on a busy street looking for something with cars all around you.

Reviewed By Reinhard WSchnitzel aber Richtig, gibt es im Löwen in Enzklösterle. Aber auch Roastbraten und weitere Riesenportionen kann man dort genießen. Freundliche persönliche Bedingung durch die Chefin und der Chef kocht selbst. Rustikal gut und zu empfehlen

Alte Post historical hotel is situated in the picturesque town of Calw. Restaurants, shops etc. are right around the corner. The family-owned hotel is also mentioned in a novel by the world famous author Hermann Hesse. The quiet rooms all offer cable TV, free Wi-Fi, a bathroom and partly (or if desired) a fridge. The apartments have a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Also the guests are more than welcome to use the beautiful sun terrace to relax. In the morning you can look forward to an extensive breakfast from the buffet. Special dietary needs can also be met upon request. Feel free to use the room service of the hotel. The hotel is an ideal starting point for hikes in the area or bike and motorbike rides in the environment of the black forrest. The hotel offers a drying room as well as a storage room for bikes. Parking spaces are also available for free. The bus and train station is only 20 m away. The closest Autobahn is a 20 min. drive away. Stuttgart is about 40 km away.

Reviewed By ShodbyLocated close to the centre of Calw. The hotel is modest but clean and tidy with a good breakfast. It is pithing walking distance of the river and town centre. Calw is a beautiful town in the heart of the Black forest and there are many curiosities unique to the town along side the Gingerbread houses and scenery.
