The room was nice, could have been cleaner in a few areas like the bathroom and couch. The refrigerator wasn't the coldest and we weren't sure if it was running. The shower was awful, no pressure at all if you wanted hot water. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was good and a nice variety.

Would not recommend

Originally booked the Airport/Earth City location, but we were moved to this location without our knowledge due to the hotel over selling themselves. Check-in went as well as can be expected when you're suddenly moved to a new location and evening staff at both locations were not friendly about the process. The hotel appears to be nice from the pictures the outside and looks decent from the few pictures posted online, but prepared to be catfished as it definitely isn't as nice on the inside. The room we were put in was not clean, the bed was rock hard, pillows flat, and our room didn't even have a shower curtain. Thankfully we only stayed the one night. The product you receive for the price we paid was not worth it at all. I think staying at a Best Western or Super 8 would have been a better experience and we would've paid half the price. Maybe if the nightly rate for Sat was $90 it would've been OK, but at $140 it was not. I've paid less for better hotels. I simply chose the other Extended Stay for the location and thought it would be a decent stay. Severely disappointed. Would not recommend either location to my worst enemy. Waiting for a call back from management, but I won't hold my breath on that.

Breakfast Needs Improvement, But Accomodations Were Very Good

Reviewed By johnsE7813ME

Lots of positives at this hotel, so I want to get the negatives out of the way, up-front. The Marketplace/Pantry was totally empty, save for a few soft drinks and ice creams. This needs to be stocked. Breakfast was sub-par in quality - one morning the eggs were runny, the sausage was over-cooked, and the bread selection were poorly-stocked. On another morning, sausage gravy was served, but there were no biscuits ! Now, the positives; all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The common areas (lobby, breakfast area, business center, fitness center) were all very modern and up-to-date. I was very impressed with the spaciousness and cleanliness of my suite, with a comfortable bed, and modern appliances. The whole setting was very relaxing. Hotel is in a quiet, safe location, and was across the street from one of my favorite Italian restaurants in STL. I'd consider staying here again, although would want to know that the pantry is fully-stocked, and the breakfast issues are resolved.

Do yourself a favor and find a different location. Do not stay at the Red Roof Inn in Bridgeton. This location is dirty everywhere and unkept. The manager appears to only want to argue and put blame on the guest if something is wrong with the room. Good luck getting your money back. I had 2 rooms at this location. The first room smelled of cigarettes, the sheets had burn marks all the way to the mattress and the toilet didn't flush. Someone tried to cut the burn marks out of the sheets. Under the covers the bedding was filthy, full of hair and dirt. The manager tried to argue with me when I asked for new bedding. He decided to put me in a different room when I let him know there was a mouse in the room. They also decided to "clean my room"and all of my property was removed by housekeeping. When I asked about my things the house cleaner said there was only trash in the room so she removed it. It was my clothes and pets things. No trash The second room appeared to be better. I was wrong. The tub was filthy, blood stains on the mattress. No fitted sheet on the bed a regular sheet was laid over the mattress. The main light didn't work. Only 3 dirty towels were provided. These rooms appear clean on the site. They are not. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. You are worth it. I unfortunately, was paid up for 3 nights.

Needs upkeep, a lot of small things that should be fixed

Stayed here 3 nights, usually really enjoy staying at Embassy Suites but this time thoroughly disappointed. Started with managers reception right after we checked in, 2 beer choices either Bud or Bud Light. They were out of Bud Light, really, its St Louis! Bud Light was unavailable our entire stay. Breakfast was OK if you ordered from Chef but pre-cooked food on buffet was cold every morning. Staff was quick to take dirty dishes though. Room was in really bad shape, cracked sink, carpet frayed and sticking up, all sink and shower faucets loose, windows extremely dirty and weatherstrip sticking out. Ice buckets mangled and disgusting. Furniture was beat up and needing new paint. Door closet was leaking oil and ran down the door, painted walls were all marked up. Bulb out in bathroom and wall paper was water stained and had patched over holes. Considering I choose Embassy Suites over much lower priced area hotels for their typically awesome amenities I wish I chose another hotel on this visit. Side note, front desk staff was very nice and attentive.

Unhelpful and rude staff

Reviewed By DayTrip761635

Checked in at 2am after working all night and travelling to 17 different cities in 17 days. We’re given our 3 double rooms. There was a breakfast sign at reception saying weekdays breakfast 6am - 9am and weekends 7am - 10am. We have travelled to enough hotels to know that’s its always best to double check the breakfast time. The miserable receptionist told us that breakfast on a Friday was until 10am. We asked twice at reception for her to confirm this as it was contrary to the sign at reception and queried if Friday was considered a weekend day or not. She said “breakfast is til 10 tomorrow.” So the 6 of us set our alarms accordingly as we needed as much sleep as possible. I checked the information booklet in the hotel room and it said breakfast was 6am - 9am through the whole week and weekend. Confused by these 3 different breakfast times we were given we called reception again to ask about this and she was clearly annoyed at us asking and said she works in the mornings and breakfast was on until 10am. 100%. Guess what?! We get down to breakfast at 9:30am and there was nothing there. We booked this hotel explicitly for the complimentary breakfast and because of incompetent staff and management there was nothing there for us. On top of this one of our double rooms was dirty as though someone had been working in dirt and dragged their mess through the room. It took 30 mins to get changed to another room which only had one bed and were made to feel we were of great inconvenience because we wanted a clean room that we paid for. When we spoke to the manager in the morning about our issues with the hotel we were told “ pay attention to the breakfast sign as every hotel has a sign for breakfast and it’s always right”. Ah so it’s our fault. Either your sign is wrong or your staff are incompetent and not trained properly. We were spoken to in a way that was ?‍♂️ What you gonna do about it? Manager then told us there was no way to be reimbursed for one room due to the inconvenience caused to us as it wasn’t something she had the authority to do. When we asked who we could talk to that could help us resolve this issue, she said the owner doesn’t live in the country so there’s no way we could be reimbursed. Awful and frustrating experience that could have been reaolved with some decent customer service. We won’t be staying at a sleep inn again. We were offered $25 but would have to go through our 3rd party hotels.com in a convoluted manner. Throughly disappointing. DON’T STAY HERE

Not so great

Reviewed By psmith198

I booked a room here for 2 nights right after Christmas, with 2 queen beds. The hotel is located right next to a large parking garage and is a ways off the main road, a little confusing to find if you are not paying close attention. The front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. The room seemed cramped and did not have any carpeting at all, which I suppose makes it easier to keep clean. The corridors are confusing and it is easy to get lost if you are not paying attention to directions. There was a door to the outside very close to my room and was kept unlocked, so I did not think the place was very concerned about security since anoyone could walk into the place. The parking lot was very dark and not lit very well. The breakfast was decent and tasted good. Overall I would not stay here again because I do not feel very safe here with a lack of security and not being close to the main road. The price was very good, but cutting back on security did not give me peace of mind.

Potential

Reviewed By kodyp928

This place has a lot of potential, however on my stay, it was empty, lacked any pool, hot tub or any active water features. This hotel at one time looked like it was a very attractive spot. But the lack of attention shows. Rust spoiling over to the paint at door jams, old stucco ceilings starting to peel, banquet room closed and locked. REALLY REALLY sad, because with some TLC and of course some money, it could be a vibrant focal point to the area
