Set between Milan and Verona at the foot of the Alps, Brescia is the second-largest city in Italy’s northern Lombardy region, with just under 200,000 people. The city’s rich history dates back to pre-Roman times, when it was a Gallic capital. Among the many great local sights are the 11th-century Duomo Vecchio (Old Cathedral, also called La Rotonda), unique for its circular shape, the 17th-century Duomo Nuovo (New Cathedral) next door, and the first-century Roman ruins at Tempio Capitolino.

Not a hotel: A Green Oasis in Brescia and a Monumental Baroque-Style Experience Centro Paolo VI is an ancient palace, the heart of Brescia that combines the History of its off-line and Technology of its on-line Centro Paolo VI is not a hotel but your romance in Brescia spanning from your smartphone to the pillars of the cloister. That is, a garden view with 100 rooms
This hotel was formerly a seminary. The luxury of the public spaces does not carry over into the adequate guest rooms. The deluxe room where we stayed for four nights faced the parking lot. The staff of the Centro is helpful. We especially enjoyed the welcome in the breakfast room. When we first arrived at the hotel we feared we were in the middle of nowhere, but we quickly learned that it was ideally placed for a traveler interested in Brescia's cultural attractions. The Santa Guilia Museum is a five minute walk away and the Tempio Capitolino and Piazza del Foro are just a little bit further on as is the historic center with Piazza della Loggia. The Piazzale Arnaldo with its lively nightlife is even closer. The hotel itself is very peaceful and the outdoor area is lovely.

The Novotel Brescia 2 hotel is a fully renovated 4-star hotel in the heart of the city's financial district. Perfect for business trips, with excellent links to the city center and the train station, it is conveniently located 547 yards (500 m) from the metro and close to the highway and Bergamo Orio al Serio, Verona and Brescia Montichiari airports. It is also the perfect base to discover the beautiful nearby lakes of Garda and Iseo or the rolling hills of Franciacorta. It's a lot better at Novotel!
We are family of four who stayed at the hotel for one night before our flight home from Milan the following day. I chose this hotel as it had a pool for the kids and reviews were good however our experience did not live up to our expectations. When we checked in I asked about pool opening hours and was advised the pool was closed and would not be opened for another week or two. There was nothing on the website to say the pool would be closed. My son aged 6 was disappointed as he had been looking forward to playing in the pool. I had sent two requests to the hotel for a travel cot for my 10 month old prior to our stay only to be advised on check in that the hotel only have 4 cots in total and they did not have any available for us. My son ended up sleeping in the bed with us but I could not rest for fear he would roll out. The hotel restaurant was closed for the weekend. We were advised it is only opened Mon to Fri so we had to walk to a restaurant to get some lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included but what was on offer was minimal and they appeared to be short staffed. I am not one to post reviews but felt it might help other family's that may be thinking of staying at this hotel. The one saving grace was the staff. They were friendly and helpful did what they could to provide us with directions and advice during our stay.

The old town house was remodelled into a modern hotel. Nice design, perfect facilities. Breakfast with many options. And a very friendly service in the breakfast restaurant. The hotel is situated on walking distance of the city centre. Parking facilities at the side of the hotel (free parking at night).

Been here before, however same shortcomings every time. Rooms accumulate a lot of dust every day even if ventilation is shut down. Breakfast OK. Diner has only a few selection options, but very worthwhile. Communication with staff is everytime problematic allthough very nice people. Maybe the Italian way. Good free parking. The location is very strategic even if at first impression you think it is not. Plenty gas stations around the corner. The shopping mall own the road freccia Rossa this year was almost dead. Eat at hotel restaurant and don't try find better outside, waste of time. Especially the Elnos shopping center. Probably I return here every time.

Welcome home, at Hotel AmbasciatoriThe pleasure of "welcoming" characterizes every single effort we do. Our purpose is to create a warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, where guests feel like at home. Hotel Ambasciatori is located in one of the most important areas of Brescia. The quiet position, at only 700 meters from the historical centre and Santa Giulia monastry (new Unesco site)characterize this hotel as a comfortable and elegant place, suitable for both working and tourist needs.
There are some positives for this hotel, and definitely negatives. Frankly, we probably would not stay here again. The ground floor public rooms are fairly elegant, and the staff is genuinely warm and welcoming. While they are distant from "downtown", and this is not a city you will want to drive in, they are only 300 meters from a metro station. A taxi ride downtown (or back) is only 7 0r 8 euros. Eden, a fine restaurant, is a 7 or 8 minute walk and the neighborhood isn't bad. We have had dreadful breakfasts at 4 star "chain hotels" in Modena and Parma. Theirs was marginally better. The coffee was drinkable, the yogurt acceptable; the "orange juice" supermarket generic, and the pastries and bread ok but nothing special. The real problems are above and below. While considerable effort has been made to put everything in our bedroom we might need, you needed a shoe horn to use them. The rooms are old ship stateroom small, and retrofitted as best they could, annoyingly claustrophobic. Had considerable problems with the wifi. It wouldn't accept VPN unless I brought my laptop to the ground floor. The two elevators worked fine, but as you might expect, were very small. The hotel offers "free parking=stunted spaces in front of the main entrance, suitable for a Fiat 500 and not much more, or in the garage. The garage is more like a dirty dungeon, two layers with stanchions making it a Rubik's cube problem to get into a still small space. There is no elevator, so be prepared for a very steep walk up the ramps. With some luck, the lights might stay on..for awhile. The garage is grease stained and doesn't look like it has been cleaned in a long time. We liked Brescia. At this price point and the "4 star rating" we expected more. If we return, we will look for another venue.

Nice hotel and good stay.. the hotel is not modern at all this is a grand hotel which still appears to be very traditional.. typical for Italy. The breakfast was nice and various options on offer. Nice bathroom and hot shower. My only disappointment was the non existent air conditioning which did not seem to work properly.

We chose this place because of its wellness center, but were quite surprised when we discovered all slots were reserved by outside clients! Had we known ahead of time, we would have gone elsewhere as the hotel itself is correct but not impressive, and is located in an ordinary residential area outside town. Our terrace turned out to be a « tropezienne » (blind attic space without a roof and without a view). Our superior room, although spacious, was cold, anonymous and quirky ( on both sides of the headboard, there are switches for lamps but also for a bell that rings loudly in the bedroom. Better not to make a mistake in the middle of the night ... ) However, bedding was firm and comfortable. Breakfast (not sanitary enough as it was a self serve buffet), was nonetheless quite diversified, tasty and we enjoyed having it outside. Day staff was very pleasant, especially Marica, a young lady with great courtesy and professionnalism. All in all, this place is correct but not cozy nor warm. It seems more interested in private events, such as weddings, parties, conferences, than in regular clients. Be aware that such events might ruin the « peaceful » environnment, and that access to the wellness center is not granted. Make sure to reserve it way ahead of time as it seems to be very popular in town. We did not have a single chance to enjoy the pool, the spa, nor the massages!
