Though probably best known as the capital of West Germany from 1949 to 1990 (and of reunified Germany until 1999), Bonn actually has a history dating back to the 1st century BC. Roman soldiers were stationed here and the largest known Roman fort was built at Bonn. In medieval times, the town gained prominence when the Archbishop of Cologne transferred his seat to Bonn. The city's most famous son is Ludwig van Beethoven, born in 1770 at Bonngasse, where a museum now honors him.

Enjoy an exceptional setting at Bonn Marriott Hotel, a modern and ideally located hotel in Bonn, Germany situated right next to the Museum Mile. From our hotel, guests take in splendid views of lush surroundings and tranquil waters. Set in the former capital of Germany, our hotel provides easy access to top destinations like the World Conference Center adjacent to us and the city center just moments away. We offer a spa, Konrad's Sky Bar with stunning scenery and a relaxed atmosphere in Bonn.
Located south of the old town near museum mile and the UN conference complex, this hotel overlooks the river and has good underground parking. I cashed in a certificate to get a suite upgrade and was rewarded with a small apartment-size room with windows on three sides, sitting area, small desk, dining table, and jack-and-jill bath with tub and separate rainhead shower. There is a heated towel rack in the shower that dried my sink-washed items quickly. Not sure if all rooms have this feature. I could not get the Wi-Fi to work on my computer but did connect on my iPad and phone. Never did figure it out. There also was a lack of places to plug in things. The executive lounge offers a fantastic breakfast buffet and decent pre-dinner food good enough to make a light meal in the evening. Desserts were just candy. The U subway is a few minutes’ walk to catch a ride to the main city center. Not much in the way of restaurants or shopping near the hotel so head up to town for this. Currently, the Beethoven statue is gone for refurbishment and the monster is shrouded under renovation. Still worth seeing. Visit Beethoven’s home and the nearby Arithmeum (if you love calculators and computer chips). In all,

Its an amazing hotel situated next to Bonn Hbf (main railway station) . Not only this makes connectivity factor strong but also provides you access to a couple of food chains around the Bonn Hbf and some premium shopping arcades. The staff is really humble and professional when it comes to hospitality. I am glad to be hosted by Mathew, who took care of my reservation and whatever I needed. The breakfast is continental and offers a really wide variety to choose from, giving it a fine balance between taste and health. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable from ventilation, air conditioning and lighting point of view. Thanks Mathew on behalf of Intercity hotel Bonn and you really hosted us kind and well in ??.

When you peer out your hotel room window overlooking the Rhine, you will see more than a river. From time immemorial, the Rhine has been a place of yearning, of history, of ideas, and most of all at the Rheinhotel Dreesen, it is a place brimming with hospitality. Where Charlie Chaplin and Konrad Adenauer once checked in, we continue to greet esteemed guests from all over the world. They are here to experience the unique landscape surrounding the blue waters of the Rhine, along with the historic and cultural centre of Bonn and the natural beauty all around. Our hotel is the ideal location to relax and enjoy your time between outings, whether to museums, concerts, or cycling tours. Attentive service, charming rooms, and a restaurant for connoisseurs, along with our enchanting chestnut-shaded “Kastaniengarten” restaurant by the river: we are here to fulfil your every wish. Come and discover it for yourself.
We have been searching for a hotel in the area we like for a few years and were never quite happy with the places we stayed at. Our trials and tribulations though have finally come to an end. We love the Dreesen. It is a historic hotel still owned by the progeny of the original founder. The house lies directly on the Rhine river offering a stunning view of the fabled Seven Mountains (think Cinderella), the Dragon’s Rock (think Wagner’s Ring of the Nibelungen) and the quaint little town of Königswinter. In good weather a promenade along the Rhine is a must. It is maybe noteworthy that the hotel while in Bonn is not close to the center, but is situated in the leafy and well-healed pool suburb of Bad Godesberg. There is public transport but without a car or a bicycle you will need to walk a bit to reach that, if you don’t want to take a taxi. The hotel offers bicycles though and the beauty of the location makes up for the rest. The hotel is in a nice historic building, has a beer garden, a good restaurant and good rooms. Those with balconies and Rhine-view are a special treat. The best thing about the Dreesen though is the competent and friendly staff. We had a lot of little requests (circumstances!) and we never heard a no. We got an early check-in, help with last minute ironing and laundry, etc. the staff is also exceptional nice and fun to converse with. We felt very welcome and at home. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant. We will be back for sure.

Kameha Spa & Powerhouse Look forward to a world of relaxation and indulge into the Kameha Spa & Powerhouse. In the heated infinity outdoor pool on the roof top terrace with a unique panoramic view overlooking the Rhine, you will actually have the feeling of infinity.
We stayed for a couple of nights at the Kameha Grand in Bonn. The location is great for walking and cycling and about 15 mins drive from the centre of Bonn on the other sider of the river. Lots of very safe cycle paths everywhere. Our junior suite was large and very comfortable. Strangely, the mini-bar was empty, but I did not find out why. The styling would not be to everyones taste, but I certainly liked it and the hotel is flooded with light. Breakfast was very good with the usual offerings. We made use of the swimming pool on the 3rd floor in the spa, which was heated and overlooks the Rhine. We found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable throughout. We used Uber to get around Bonn, although the service only recently came to Bonn and the service was a bit patchy. Be prepared to wait for longer than you would in bigger cities such as Berlin. We did not try any of the restaurants at the Kameha as we were only there for a short while. If anyone needs a recommendation, try Oscar in der Remise, about 8 minutes away by car. For travellers to Germany, bring cash as the country is still behind the times and a bit analogue. The lovely Rheinlust beer garden about 10mins drive away does not accept any form of credit cards. Some taxi drivers also struggled with electronic payment. Looking forward to returning to the Kameha

The 4 star Ameron Bonn Hotel Koenigshof is located in the centre of Bonn city centre, yet in a quiet area between the banks of the river Rhine and the Hofgarten. The tram station "Universitat/Markt" is located only 350m from the hotel and thus guarantees perfect travel connections with public transport in and around Bonn.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights in April 2022 during a family & friends reunion trip in my old hometown. Our Junior Suite # 107 was comfortable with scenic views on the river Rhine. One could have just sit on his bed and stare out of the window for hours. Sleeping quality was excellent and the bathroom - though on the smaller side - spotlessly clean. What we missed was a small shelf in bathroom, which could be easily installed above the toilet for example. Now we had to keep our wash bags on the desk in the room, what is not really convenient. Also towels are a bit small and there are no bigger ones available - even on request. The room itself is functional, sufficiently clean, however, a little more attention to detail is recommended, mainly the floor would need some more intense cleanup prior to arrival next time. Breakfast was ok, not exceptional, but what you can expect from a 4* city hotel. Service was friendly. The location is one of a kind, super central in one of Bonn's nicest parts, calm, but still sufficiently close to many sights and attractions. The city centre with its pittoresque pedestranian area and the univeristy are right next door or just a few minutes walk away. Another big plus was the staff, especially Mrs. Müller and the receptionist from Columbia, who went above and beyond to make our stay the most convenient. We didnt manage to dine in the Olveto restaurant, since we had pre-organised dinners every evening, but will attempt to manage next time. The garage at 18 € per night may appear pricey to some, but it is definitely worth it, given how difficult it is to find a parking space in this area of Bonn. Overall, we had a very good stay, the views, the gentle staff and location prevail over the few small caveats we encountered during our visit. Whenever we come back to Bonn for an overnight stay, we will try to get a room at the Hotel Königshof, again.

I had a great stay at the Hilton Bonn. When I entered the room, there were gummy bears waiting for me. I had just returned from a nightmarish trip and it was a nice touch. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a myriad of options. It was also nice having a 24/7 snack area in the lobby. I also loved the staff at the hotel. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. Made the stay so much better. The only issue I had with my stay was the wifi which was subpar. Overall, great stay!

The Maritim Hotel Bonn is located centrally, between Bonn and Bad Godesberg, in the heart of the bustling business centre of the city. In this central location, it is within easy reach of the airport, railway station and the autobahn. The nearby recreation area of the "Rheinaue" is just a stone's throw away along the walking and jogging tracks. The establishment is the ideal place for business travellers and conference guests. Those who want to travel through the city appreciate the short routes to the Museum Mile and the many places of sightseeing interest. The rooms with ample space include free Wi-Fit and a flatscreen TV. At the Brasserie Café, tasteful snacks and delicious burgers can be enjoyed.
The Hotel has in these times no restaurant facilities and offers max 4 small fatty burger or pizza dishes in the Brasserie, with the argument it is Corona.time. So no healthy food during Corona? You are kidding, same for the room service. Hotel makes no attempts to spoil or support its guests with basics. In addition, the Internet speed is very slow and you need to by with Telekom faster speed. This hotel is not to recommend, overpriced and turn a good day into a sad evening.

Driving there is a bit tough where the parking lot entrance isn't mentioned well for tourists. Anyways, had to park in front of hotel to get directions and was served pleasantly by staff. (think have done a traffic violation but wasn't caught). Parking lot is ok, good price and elevator right in front of hotels door. Hotel physical look from the outside is very nice, historical and located in a great location. Lobby is very small and old, Staff are friendly and helpful as much as they can. Price was ok for a hotel but what for I got which will be explained below, but charged for my baby sleeping in the room and not for the crib which wasn't offered to us. (which is something I really do not appreciate nor understand). You get a physical heavy key. Corridors are very aged and old (smelly), a bit creepy to be honest. Now here starts the tragedy when entering the room.. it literally feels like entering a caravan.. Once the door is opened, on your right is the bathroom just door back to door and left is the shower (both are not nice nor clean), the third door right in front of you that takes you to the room. Whats shocking is that the room size is good but why the weird lay out im not sure. Room from inside, furniture is old, not nice, old cabinet, not comfy bed, sink in the room not bathroom. Honestly, was a disaster. Breakfast, was average. Only good thing, staff are nice and location,
