See why so many travelers make Panthashala their small hotel of choice when visiting Santiniketan. Providing an ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience, it offers a charming setting with an array of amenities designed for travelers like you. Panthashala is a charming small hotel offering air conditioning in the rooms, and it is easy to stay connected during your stay as free internet access is offered to guests. The small hotel features room service. Plus, guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant, which has made this a popular choice among travelers visiting Santiniketan. There is no shortage of things to do in the area: explore popular architectural buildings such as Vidya Bhavana. At Panthashala, your comfort and satisfaction come first, and they look forward to welcoming you to Santiniketan.
We stayed there from 28th to 31st Dec 2020. Like the year itself, this place is a big disaster. It is not a hotel, but a residential place. A few "houses/ studio flats" are being let out as hotel. There are 20 room in total among about 200 flats spread across at least 10 building. It is on your luck the kind of room you'd end up with. We booked 2 rooms that were in 2 different blocks and buildings. 1 room was decent, the other was "over done" in terms of interiors and looked quite garish. These buildings do not have lifts, so you have to pick up your luggage and drag it up manually. It was quite cold that time. we asked for extra blanket, they did not have any. The pillows (did not even have covers!), mattresses, blankets are not standardized, and look like bought from road side shops. They were not even cleaned properly and were very unhygienic. They were actually smelling. In times of Covid, this is extremely appalling. They refused to change these when asked to and did not have any replacement. Had we not paid in advance, we wouldn't have stayed there. The food is ok. The place claims to have free room service but the joke is there is no way to contact the front office, as there are no landlines and absolutely no mobile/ internet connectivity. There is least effort put in to ensure guests' comfort. Overall, a very bad experience

The Rangamati garden resort is a decent place for a family stay in Shantiniketan. Rooms are comfortable and value for money. My rooms were sanitized on arrival and staff wore masks while serving us. The food was good - i had specific requirements as I was travelling with a kid and the staff did everything possible to meet those specifications. There are totos available outside and one can get a contract for sightseeing. The hotel has a nice mango garden where one can have a pleasant stroll in the morning / evening. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed my stay here and will recommend the place if you are looking for a good ambience, peaceful stay & good food.

The house is located at Baganpara, off the Bolpur-Suri main road and is easily accessible via local transport. The Viswabharati campus is also pretty close and is again, easily accessible via local transport (which can be arranged on prior request). We do not serve full meals at this point as we believe while you are at Shantiniketan, it's best to roam around and have lunches or dinners at the lovely restaurants around. However, we have an ever-smiling couple who would wake you up with a hot cup of tea for a perfect start to the day and follow it up with a nice little breakfast. There are 2 types of rooms available for your stay that can together accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. The rooms are spacious so that you don't feel cramped out of space. One of them, the suite room, has two attached bathrooms and the other, the standard double room, has one. The most attractive part of the stay might well be the balcony which is so perfect for those long conversations that you probably might lose track of the time; that's what has happened to us over the years and that's exactly why this is still our personal favourite place in the house. We love music, we love Tagore (silly, but that was THE reason we thought of building this house at Shantiniketan, a good 30 years back), and we would love to have people who share this passion. However, as a gesture of peaceful co-existence to the neighbours, we politely request guests not to indulge in playing loud music which might seem out of place and not of good taste with the surroundings and we're sure they understand. If this sounds like home to you, we're sure it'll feel like home too, once you are here.
It was the perfect time to visit Shantiniketan, Bolpur. The stay was all the more enhanced with the pleasant stay at the Pubali Homestay. The owner along with the staff was extremely friendly. The property was clean and maintained and the hospitality was up to the mark.

I visited Tarapith and Bolpur in Dec2021. It was a family trip. I had a 7 years old kid and senior citizen parents wirh me. Basically i booked this hotel online through their website . The best part is you can book the property by room number from wesite. One recommendation will be to book rooms on 1st Floor. That will give you the best views ( example : Room no 5 &6). The Hotel is decorated with a rural concept and you will get the feeling of mud house. So do not expect any high end luxury in the room. But you will have basic amenities like - AC/ mini fridge/ geyser etc. The USP of this property is its food. It is budget friendly yet yummy taste. If you are not a resident of the hotel then you will need to collect advance lunch token to get your chance. I am told by the manager that they have served lunch to 1000+ people on 25th Dec. People from all over Bolpur come to taste food here. The Sonsjhuri Haat is just outside the Hotel campus. In fact you can enjoy Baul Dance and Tribal Dhamsha Madol dance sitting on your balcony. The room rent is also decent. You will get Rooms in the range of INR 2000 - 2500. They have POS facility for all payments. The only challenge i faced was the service timeline. May to due to extreme rush on account of festive season they were unable to serve breakfast/ Lunch / Dinner on time and they have denied to accept orders in few instances. Management should look into this and take some corrective actions I have covered this hotel and Bolpur in my Youtube Channel. You will get the link in my profile. Do take time out to view and share your opinion

Located in the village of Daronda near to the Ilambajar forest of Birbhum district, we have lots of greenery around us. The food is prepared from organic vegetables and local pond fish, cooked in the best medium possible and in most hygienic process.
Upasona Eco Resort is located in Ilambazar in a lane opposite to the Bonovilla Bus Terminus. The architecture and layout of the resort is beautiful. The rooms are clean with four-star amenities. The working staff including Pallab, Palash, and Apu are very hospitable; Palash is the cook who cooks beautifully. Out of all the delicacies I really enjoyed his Gurer Payesh (Rice porridge with molten jaggery). We were welcomed with Uttorios (Handloom sash made by local weavers) and Lemonade. The surrounding area encompasses rice fields and looks beautiful. Overall, a perfect place for your friends and family to reenergise.
