Fine for a one night stay
Reviewed By DKPuckThis was fine for a one night pass through stay, but this is an older hotel that isn't the cleanest. The ceiling was dirty and the rooms are a bit small. Breakfast area is big, but actual breakfast is very limited. A big disappointment. Not a hotel I'd recommend to others.

Reviewed By DKPuckThis is a very nice hotel. Rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious and modern. Breakfast was well stocked. I do recommend this hotel install a couple of chargers for electric vehicles. Now that I have one I'm more likely to select hotels with a charging station.

Really dirty….
Reviewed By fmaath608746There was no housekeeping available that day so the rooms couldn’t be cleaned. Beds were dirty, toilet was dirty, no vacuuming of the room. Poor breakfast, waffle iron was broken, much water on the ground.

Dirty Room & Noisey Location
Reviewed By Ron11611Our room was dirty. We requested the room be cleaned following our first night. However, the front desk didn't pass the request to housekeeping. So, Hampton's "Customize Your Clean" program is a complete joke. As a long term Hilton Honors member, this was the worst experience I had with one of their hotels. I will never stay here again. Although the location is convenient, the truck and highway noise is excessive. The hotel is overpriced for the accommodations and location. The staff seemed indifferent and were not helpful in the least. Their attitude was not client focused and helping to resolve the issues was simply out of their control.

Reviewed By garyb513The room was clean, comfortable and affordable for a quick stopover. They featured a warm breakfast buffet in a restaurant area and there is also has a nicely appointed bar on the premises as well as an outdoor swimming pool. Great place for an overnight stop while on the road.

Reviewed By kates5283We usually stay at Hampton Inns, but changed to the Holiday Inn because they had an indoor pool. Little did we know that the pool was empty so that was a bust. It would have been nice if, on the Holiday Inn page, they said they were renovating and some amenities may not be available during the stay, or if the check in staff said something upon check in. The restaurant in the hotel was okay. No free breakfast, but at least there was a good variety of options to choose from. The hotel was renovating when we stayed and we understand that, but the room itself was just not super clean. If it was renovated, that room needs touched up. I had to take a Clorox wipe to the table/desk and the counter area because they all had stuff on them. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't have stayed longer and won't be staying again. Lesson learned.

A new look for a familiar name, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Beckley, West Virginia, was extensively renovated in 2012. All of our guestrooms and suites have been refreshed to a bright new look. Our guests will enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. All of our non-smoking rooms and suites feature complimentary WiFi, mini refrigerator, microwave, and 32" television. Our cadio room is available 24/7. Pets are welcome (with a fee) in one of our designated pet rooms located on the first floor of the hotel. The hotel is located near many restaurants. Our seasonal outdoor pool opens Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day.
What a mess, throughout the property
Reviewed By westlakeroadNowhere, in any of its public utterings, does this Beckley, WV property tell anyone that it’s in the middle of a house-wide renovation that impacts everything a traveler experiences. And they doing a particularly bad job of insulating guests from the mess. Storage containers scattered across half of the parking are (at least they keep them sort-of-hidden from the main entrance), workers moving materials, furniture, bedding, etc. throughout the hotel from ~8am until 6pm, 7 days a week, and construction debris in the hallways of floors where they are actually renting rooms! There are framed photos, etc. stacked in the breakfast area, the smell of paint is present, and rooms that are being rented have a combo of new and about-to-collapse tables & chairs being used. One front desk person confided that for some reason they were renovating all 5 floors at the same time, rather than being smart enough to close off a single floor at a time. That person stated they’d suggested a more customer-centric approach, but had been shut down by the owner. We’ve been steadfast customers of Marriott’s close competitor for 3+ decades, but tried this property at a friend’s recommendation. It doesn’t take much to ruin a franchise’s reputation, but this owner has managed to do it in spades. Buh-bye

My friends stayed in the Micro in town and it was worse. After going to several stores and restaurants I think cleaning expectations in this town are below par. They are working on the property. i stayed here at the beginning and end of my trip and thought about driving straight through to avoid a second night, but didn't and couldn't cancel as I was booked through a 3rd party. I did not eat breakfast here. Visit the nearby cemetery -it was awesome.

Located off I-64, our hotel is less than 20 miles from recreation along the New River and ski slopes at Winterplace. Shop and dine at Tamarack, just a mile away, or visit Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, three miles away. We also offer an on-site 24/7 market with beer, wine, and snacks, plus a gaming area with pool table and a fitness center.
Basic and not comfortable
Reviewed By 844glennaVery, very basic set up. It felt like a dorm room. Obviously aimed at a much younger crowd. Not up to the Hilton standards we are used to. Would not stay at a Tru hotel again. Staff was very friendly but the room was quite disappointing for the price.
