Great place to stay! Minutes from the finish line. Rooms were so clean and cool! Swimming pool was and jacuzzi was what these sore legs needed everyday! The breakfast bar was amazing! I asked for a late check out to get some added sleep and the front desk said without a moment of haste, sure, no prob! I highly recommend this hotel for all your Western States needs!

A Newly Renovated 50's Motel With a Modern Flair. With new ownership comes a new philosophy, taking the best historical motel in the region and creating the best motel guest experience in the region. Whether you are staying for a few days in Auburn or stopping for a luxurious break on the way to or from Tahoe, we want to provide the most relaxing stay possible. We've kept the 1959 motel charm and modernized it with the best beds money can buy, completely rebuilt rooms, bathrooms, and showers, and the fastest Wi-Fi possible. Creating an enjoyable retro-modern oasis. We welcome everyone who enjoys the good things in life with some 50's style.
This motel was built in 1952 and was recently refurbished/remodeled. The bathroom was very nicely remodeled and had a step-in shower. The beds were comfortable and the tv was large. The air conditioning worked well and had a remote for easy adjusting without getting out of bed. The rooms are small which I’m sure is fine if you ask for one bed. We got a room with two beds which made it too crowded for a chair and table. The staff was friendly. The photos were taken as we were leaving so I didn’t take pictures of the beds.

Centrally located in Downtown Auburn, the Power's Mansion is a Victorian Mansion filled with gold country charm and history. Surrounded by fun breweries, pubs, restaurants and pizza parlors, the mansion is a must destination for anyone visiting gold country.
We recently had the distinct pleasure to stay at the Power’s Mansion Inn located in Auburn CA! This local BnB is truly a fantastic gem for the Sacramento valley area. We’re blessed to have Alfred Lee and his son Adam as the Powers Mansion Inn Keepers in this historic and well appointed mansion! Alfreds culinary skills are above and beyond and the 5 star breakfast that was included with our stay was certainly one of the finest meals I’ve ever had! I would rate our experience as a 5 Star Plus! Don’t miss an opportunity to stay a few nights in this magnificent Mansion!

We stay at the Red Lion every so often when we're in Auburn visiting family. The beds tend to be really soft and comfortable, and it's not a luxury hotel, but it is usually clean and comfortable. We really like this hotel. This time, it wasn't as good as usual. The mattress had a huge stain. The toilet wobbled, and the bathroom floor was a bit dirty along the edges. Some of the paint was chipped as well where the chair is, and some of the USB ports don't work anymore. Oh, and no in-room coffee maker--you have to go to the lobby to get coffee. The worst part of this trip was the breakfast. We've stayed here before, and my son, who is on the autism spectrum, was looking forward to the waffle maker breakfast. When we got there the waffle maker, and all of the hot food, was gone. Needless to say, he had a meltdown because it wasn't what he was expecting. When I asked the attendant, she gruffly said that the waffle maker was removed due to Covid and everyone touching it, and that they were in the process of getting an automatic pancake maker. Pictures of the breakfast room on the Red Lion website sow that the waffle maker is still there, so we really thought that it would be there. You guys really need to update your website, it's misleading. Overall, we like the Red Lion. It's a decent hotel, but it has gone downhill since we last stayed here before the pandemic. If there was a similar hotel at about the same price point, we'd stay there. But it's either pay less for a cheap motel or pay more for a higher-end hotel. If the Red Lion raises their rates, I'll go to a better hotel. It's not worth much more than we paid, especially when we had to go out to breakfast instead of being able to enjoy the free hotel breakfast.

Motel 6 Auburn is located off I-80 at Auburn Ravine Rd/Foresthill Rd. Restaurants are within walking distance. California's vineyards and wineries are within 5 miles. Enjoy our modern rooms, outdoor pool and hot tub. Free Wi-Fi throughout the motel.
We've always found this Motel 6 to be reliable. It covers the basics. Our room was clean and staff were wearing masks. Coffee is available in the lobby from 6 to 10 am. The only negative was a strong smoke smell in the hallway where the non-smoking rooms are located. No cigarette smell in our room, though. The n/s rooms are easily accessible via the lobby without having to climb stairs. Bring your own shampoo.

OMG , I cannot believe how terribly noisy this place was , all night long , motorcycles revving their engines and peeling out , cars and trucks racing up and down the street , then at 4-00am a constant banging going on somewhere in the building , no closet, no desk in rooms , two steel fold up chairs , that you would find at a school assembly , cigarette butts everywhere, zero sleep, and the rate was high for such a beat up place , I knew I had made a mistake upon arrival ... A very scary place with scary individuals lurking about , The shower did work well and the TV was good , but that's about it
