Being a diamond plus, means nothing to anyone there. We had an early check in arriving at 11:15 the girl at the front desk said nothing is ready. We told her our host requested a suite she said can not give you one. ( not good) so we left 1:00 pm we go back to the deck was told nothing is ready yet we leave again. Finally we got so upset we go back to the desk ask for a manager we said this is very Unacceptable waiting this long. She told us well because you waited How upgrade you to a suite, we’ll our host Requested us a suite. The first girl we talked to was rude she had a bad attitude. We are thinking about finding a new casino to play at. When we made our reservation we should have been told about all the Renovations being done where we always play was no longer. The machines upstairs would not take our code to get a cocktail or the account to view. Our stay this time was not good at all. We play at Caesars a lot. Not happy

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the city's iconic Boardwalk, this relaxed hotel with a New Orleans theme is a 5-minute walk from Steel Pier's amusement rides.
The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was very clean had what we needed. We thought twenty dollars to park for overnight was to much. Location was good, but the entrance ways could be brighter and more inviting.

Hotel was awesome. Room was perfect, except for the window treatment that was nt entirely in place but since I was on the 35th floor, was not concerning....just noticeable. What was also notable was the difference in staff. AT check in, I observed the most friendly and upbeat agent helping another registrant. I was hoping she would be free when it was my turn. She wasn't, unfortunately. The agent who helped me got the job done without a smile or conversation but more importntly without roviding an important piece of information that put me in a whilrspin at check out which was also less than embracing. I was there with my cousins who were checking out before me and came back to ask about an extra $25.00 fee. My receipt had the same amount. The agent first told my cousin that the extra was because there was second person in her room. Bogus. When called on it the agent said it was the early check in amount. Had the first agent checking us in told us about tht (rediculous) extra, we would noit have checked in. We would have had lunch first and then checked in. We could also have chilled in the pool area except it was closed to the public that day. WHAT? The check out agent checked with whomever and removed the extra charge for both of us, but it sure didn't leave a good impression. So, I will tell people who ask what I thought to make sure they confirm any extra or hidden charges should they decide to stay at this hotel. Additionally, I would recommend additional customer service programs to make sure every employee is friendly, informative and most importntly, welcoming (as was the agent I mentioned earlier.) It makes a difference and leaves a lasting impression. Thanks for asking. What sort of trip was this? You don't have an EVENT option listed. It was an event I attended with family. I suggest adding that as an option..

Waiter/ bartender was pushy just to start. He tried to be helpful but was overbearing. The menu items all were spicy or hot or items came totally dressed up. Wanted a plain cheeseburger and he says it comes with bacon, I told him I don't eat bacon and he didn't even offer to take it off. We got the foot long hot dog $20. Told waiter mustard, onions and cheese. It came out with spicy BBQ onions, that is not what I ordered. Too spicy for my wife to eat. Never offered to comp or replace with another item. Very bad experience - Don't Go there-

We stayed at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City for a weekend night on a road trip through New Jersey. Before the trip, I had read reviews online to have a generally lowered expectation of the hotel, and after staying there, I have to confirm they are mostly accurate. I agree with many people who have written about the hotel feeling old and outdated. Walking through the hallways, you will feel the slightly rundown vibe concealed underneath the surface. The room was okay: the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The bathrooms, on the other hand, seemed very cramped. The AC unit was dripping water outside the window. The noise was a big issue for me, not because of our neighbors, but because you could hear people walking in and out of rooms through the thin walls. Every time a door shut, it would bang loudly in our room. Finally, I have to mention the elevators; this was the biggest drag for me. We stayed on one of the top levels of the hotel. Each time we wanted to go up or down, it would usually take at least 5 minutes and up to 15 minutes to have an elevator stop on your floor during busy hours. Even when the elevator stopped, it would usually be full of people, with no guarantee you could get in. The parking fee was around $26, which also was a lot higher than expected. I didn't have any issues with the service. I understand that hotel needs to earn their business on the weekends, but I wish they could put in a little more effort to make the stay worth the price.

Visited again in June 2022. This was trip number 8 this year.I hate to say to say we were disappointed. Check in was very smooth. We've come to know a lot of the check in staff and sometimes we're checked in before reaching the desk. That is service. The telephone reservation people are among the nicest people you will ever speak to on the phone. They remember their customers. So much for the good. We checked in around on p.m.on a Sunday. Our room was ready but did not appear to freshly cleaned. It just lacked that fresh feeling. On the prior trip we checked and there no towels in the room. As longtime Golden nugget customers in LasVegas and Atlantic City we were surprised at the lack of detail. We needed to set the thermostat at 65 to get AC in the room. There were many machines out of service on the casino floor. I understand they are redoing the casino floor. I hope they plan to open their buffet. The Chairman Club is ok, but the buffet was better. it not gourmet, but ti was comfort food served in a clean environment. The servers in the buffet were great. We became friends with many over the years. This was the forst time noticed trash in the hallways of the hotel floors.

This hotel is trash. The service is trash. I had to constantly have my room key reactivated. I purchased food and there was nowhere to reheat it in the entire building. There was NO A/C in my room for 2 of the 4 days I was there, I made complaints to the front desk repeatedly and they refused to notate the account. The bed linen was dirty/old and needed to be replaced. When I called for extra towels, I was transferred to someone's personal cell phone. I was charged for fees that were paid through Priceline. I was triple charged and when asked about it they claim that they have to look into it.
