Reviewed By BruceG960The bed in my room didn’t sag in the middle as do many hotels making it hard to sleep. A plus. The common areas looked clean and the breakfast was solid. My wife thought the bathroom could have been cleaner and was a bit worn around the edges. But I would and will try it again.

Reviewed By kmd1127Carpet was sticky and there were crumbs and hairs in the bed. They didn't have my bed available so I assumed that moving wasn't an option. Breakfast smelled like rotten eggs all the way to my room so I didn't even attempt.

Dirty Dirty - very disappointing
Reviewed By 408clarktWe checked in early on our app, and got a notification that our room was ready. We still had to swipe our card, and get room cards, which defeats using the app for Checkin. We walked into our room, and noticed a headboard full of hand smears and dripping stains. I can only imagine what that was, :;(. We told the front desk and they sent someone to clean it, and he couldn’t get it off. Ugh, Yuk. We asked for another room, and got moved. I felt like we were a burden on the staff to have a room switch. No apologies. When I was at the front desk, I noticed they had an “88” health score for their hotel inspection….not good. This Fairfield looks tired and it needs updating. The advertised pool, was not swimmable. It had all sorts of debris and a dead frog floating in it, and it obviously not cared for, the water was greenish in color. The food was marginal at best. We are Marriott fans and prefer Marriott, but this is the second hotel we stayed at on this trip, that was not the typical Marriott level of excellence we have been accustomed too. Hilton here we come.

Bad Service
Reviewed By Linda HMy experience was horrible and I contacted the main number to file a complaint and am still waiting on a call back over a week later.I arrived over an hour and half after check in. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk. We waited what seemed like close to 10 minutes before someone came. By the time the representative came there was a line of maybe 4 other parties waiting to check in. The representative had an attitude like we were disturbing her. After she checked us in, she told us our room may not be ready because house cleaning was still cleaning. We went up to our room and sure enough the whole floor had doors open with all the rooms a mess. This was like maybe 4:45. We left- I contacted the main number and made a complaint. They offered me a $10 discount for the inconvenience- which I was not satisfied with. They explained to me I would get the $10 discount and that the manager of this location would contact me within 4 business days. I was in town for a work event so went straight to the event. We arrived back to the hotel around 3 in the morning. When we got to our room, our room was still a mess, was not cleaned and my husband had to go downstairs to the front desk and we were given a different room. When we checked out in the morning, the $10 discount was not applied, and I called the main number again to complain. They told me the complaint was added to the original complaint and assured me I would be contacted by a manager within 3-4 business days. Horrible experience and the elevator floor had cardboard duct taped to the floor.

Quaint, clean and quiet
Reviewed By Wiggletail16It's like taking a refreshing step back in time. I only stayed one night but thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay again when in the area. I was a little leary as I was approaching the area but once I pulled in I was very pleasantly surprised. Rooms are large and the pool area looked inviting too but it is only open on Saturday and Sunday so I was disappointed I didn't get to use it.

Clean Room, Great Rates and Great Location
Reviewed By lynnec2703 Great location and Clean Review of Merry Acres Inn Reviewed yesterday via mobile I am a nursing student and had to get a place to stay because I am not from Albany. This was a great location as is was roughly 10 minutes to the hospital. My girlfriend stayed in the room while I was in clinicals and worked from there remotely. The only thing was there was no shower curtain, but we didn't mind since we were only there basically overnight. So we never said anything. My girlfriend wasn't able to use the pool the next day on her lunch hour as it had not been cleared by the health department even though it looked awesome. But I can't hold the hotel responsible for that because they were waiting on someone to do an inspection. Another cool feature was that it was right near the mall and other shopping areas. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and nice especially for $100.
