I passed only one night in the hotel in the winter, the room was warm, clean and bathroom good. I decided to pay to have an experience of SPA and it was very nice for me and my wife. The cost is 25 euro per person for 2 hours in the SPA environment. The breakfast is good, but could have more options to eat like eggs, for example. I recommend the hotel!

The staff were very kind and attentive, the food was a good selection of local cuisine, *extremely* comfortable and cozy rooms—including the best shower I've found in Italy thusfar—and a beautiful location to boot! Highly recommend.

We spent a pleasant weekend with our 3 year old daughter in Val d’Orcia and stayed in this brand new structure. The Forti family welcomed us with great courtesy and make us feel like at home. The apartment is big and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast is particularly rich and varied (biscuits, cakes, Tuscan bread, fruit, ham ..). The location is ideal for getting around this beautiful Valley. Michele

Abbadia San Salvatore is located over 800 m above the sea and you can count on a serpentine road up to this little sleepy town. Albergo la Bussola is a family run hotel and a personal touch can be found everywhere. We were very warmly welcome and the owner had even reserved our car a parking place and hold that place for us during our 4 nights stay. Our room was beautifully decorated with own balcony and even if located early 900 m above the sea, the room can get warm and AC would be needed. The owner couldn't be more helpful, even if we could communicate only in Italian, he tried to inform me in many ways and followed us to 2 different restaurants in two following evenings. The breakfast was mediterranean, relying mostly on cakes and sweet bread. Montepulciano and Montalcino and several thermal baths are not so far away and worth a visit. If you need a peaceful, friendly and very helpful hotel, here you have it.
