Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort is a boutique accommodation in a convenient central location in Hahei. Nestled in sub-tropical gardens amongst New Zealand native trees near Hahei beach and Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve, Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort is within walking distance of world-famous Cathedral Cove and a short drive from the volcanic wonders of Hot Water Beach. Room types: Garden Studios (3) Two-Bedroom Apartments (5) Garden Cottage (1) Waimarie Villa (1) We also have Tatahi Cove Guest House on our site, for which each of the six rooms is sold separately with shared facilities. It sleeps 23 guests, has three shared bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen & living areas leading to a garden.

Great fish and chips at the ice cream shop, and coffee at the little blue penguin pop up- makes all the difference! Hosts were very nice friendly people. gave us some flexibility too after booking which was appreciated. We'd certainly stay again and have already recommended to a friend.

All rooms open onto a private central courtyard garden, where you can relax in a hammock or enjoy the hot tub. The living room and dining area open onto the grass lawn which is absolute waterfront. We have surfing instructors waiting to teach you the best way to stand up and get surfing! We also rent Surfboards, Wetsuits, Mountain Bikes, Double and Single kayaks, Body Boards to rent and even a sauna and spa pool! We have also have free transport in our Electric Car to the surf beach for guests renting Surfboards!! (5 min drive).

I was impressed with the strict silence maintained on the property overnight which made for a perfect sleep. The double room had excellent blockout blinds

Max the small dog, all make Juno Hall one of my favourite places, whether I stay in the lodge or camp outside. I really enjoy bringing visitors here, or even stopping over when enroute through the region. So close to waterfalls, caves, natural bridge.

Tui Lodge is located on the outskirts of Coromandel Town. We have a large orchard area which is used for camping and friendly sheep in our front paddock that love to be hand fed. There are lots of outdoor garden areas to enjoy/ BBQ's for your convenience and free laundry. We have bikes for guests to use around town. Fruit in season for guests to eat. Fish cleaning area and plenty of parking for cars and boats. Rooms range from dorms, caravan, queen rooms to ensuite rooms and all look out onto our gardens/orchard. Two large well equiped kitchens and a communal lounge room and outdoor/indoor gazebo area. Wifi is available for our guests. There are many walkways in the area and many other interesting activities to do around Coromandel Town including Driving Creek Railway and The Waterworks. Come and relax at Tui Lodge while you travel out beautiful country.

Reviewed By Doiley13Tui lodge has a very accomodating host, she made us feel at home. The rooms are basic but comfortable and reasonably priced. Perfect place for a group visit. It’s located about 10 minutes walk from the township, but far enough away to feel your in a rural location. Great kitchen facilities and the use of an outdoor bbq, there is a great outdoor area perfect for soaking up the coromandel sun.

Reviewed By vighbWe have paid for a night here. The room itself was ok. Good price and seemed clean. However , we didn't stay. It looks like an abandoned barracks. There was no one around. Couldn't see another guest. Lovely check in lady. Very hospitable. However, right next to pub and supermarket which could be handy, but we didn't feel safe there. Looks unloved and unsafe-Looked derelict and unwelcoming. We left immediately after paying. Not for us.

You can't get worse than no staff on site when you need them. I don't mean that the staff popped out- they leave a key on the counter and are not there at all. In addition, despite the prices which are now very close to hotel costs for non-dorm rooms (increased by more than 100%) , they continue to use reviews which say great value based on prices before they increased them, which is deceptive.

Modern, cosy hostel

The room was quiet, the hostel clean, and we enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the shared facilities, large kitchen and dining room. Good opportunity to meet other guests. Very friendly and hospitable owners! We will be back as the area around Turangi has a lot to offer.

Loud and very basic
Reviewed By AmysTravellingWe stayed in a Standard Room with Communal Bathroom. It cost $125 for the two of us. The room was a good size. The room was very basic - probably too basic. There were no cups or glasses in the room, despite their being a kettle and tea/coffee. The remote to the tv didn't work. We found a skittle on the floor when we first arrived so not sure about their cleaning process. There were not many power outlets. The hand dryers in the women's bathroom didn't work. But the biggest complaint is that there is no soundproofing whatsoever so you can hear every footstep and voice in the hallway. It is in a fairly good location.

Reviewed By graciepacie2022stayed in room with a double bed, warm room with great view. staff were very kind and helpful. good place for a short stay nice and close to everything, yes it was loud at night but that is expected in the middle of town. would be prefect for a group of people who are wanting to go to the local bars. will be going back!
