Centrally located Umbria's principal cities include Spoleto, Assisi, and Terni. The capital, Perugia, is famed for its chocolate. Take a tour bus or prepare for daredevil Italian drivers if you opt to rent a car. Assisi's Basilica has a host of treasures, including works by Giotto. The town is also home to the crypt of St. Clare, patron saint of television. St. Francis' meditation retreat is in the mountains to the north. Classes at Velia's Cooking Style in Terni make good use of local produce.

At Borgo , a convent of 13th Century located in the Woods where century history joins the breathtaking beauty of Nature that leaves one amazed and intrigued with it’s respectful silence and peaceful tranquillity. The authentic / natural symbiosis of animals such as fallow deer with Sardinian donkeys, domestic pigs and wild boars, alpacas, cows, cats and dogs won’t leave one indifferent. The dogs Akita Inu and Caucasian Shepherds control and protect animals that we welcome. We save our four-legs residents from situations of discomfort or abandonment or due to indiscriminate hunting. These active and intense tasks make Borgo always alive and ready to excite. And a caress or a curious glance of one of these specimens is enough to restore the mind and body … Much attention and care is dedicated to all of our animals. For their well-being and soft settling, instead of being relegated to a cage or small enclosure, we set them in particular enclosures and then left free on the property. United in different areas as heterogeneous groups they are accustomed to interact with humans and willing to communicate! A guide appointed by the property is available to guests who wish to visit them. Staying at the Borgo, tasting the dedicated cuisine in our restaurant or buying Borgo’s products are all ways to support our “Il Paradiso degli Animali” project.
Torneremo sicuramente!

We were travelling as a family and wanted to stay somewhere that was comfortable. We could not have selected better. David's place is truly wonderful. The furnishings and decor of the bedrooms and the dining area are exquisite. The beds were very large and comfortable. The bathroom is also very spacious and of a high standard. It was a real pleasure to stay there. David also provided an excellent Italian breakfast; there were a variety of things to eat and the quantities were very generous. David went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and this was appreciated. The location is also great as it is within the Medieval walls of Bevagna (and so is very atmospheric) but it is also very easy to go to neighbouring towns such as Montefalco. All in all it was a fantastic stay, and we will definitely return.

Torre del Colle is a tiny village but it is so sweet! We loved our stay at Ostello Bello, there was a delicious breakfast every morning with coffee, croissants, juice and yogurt in the main hotel building. We stayed in “the tower” room which was so scenic. Torre del Colle is a great location if you are looking for a relaxing vacation and are interested in hiking and biking around the nearby villages.

The Farm is located in the Natural Park of the Polvese island and offers rooms and apartments equipped with all comforts and a magnificent view of the lake and its colours. It is unique in its kind: an accommodation where the welcoming and friendly environment, large garden with sun loungers, hammocks and games, combined with the typical and genuine cuisine using locally grown biological products, herbs and home-grown organic fruit that is served in summer in the garden overlooking the lake, make it the ideal place for those who love peace, good food and the outdoors life. Ideal for romantic getaways and vacations with children, as well as a great starting point for visiting the art cities of Umbria and Tuscany.
Set on top of the hill of a small and peaceful island within a tranquil lake in one of the quietest region of Italy. You can't get a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. We went there for a set price fish menu. The food was delicious. The staff very friendly. The view from the terrace amazing. Unmissable!

The hostel originally was an ancient eleventh century church, now you can still see typical architectural elements and original frescos. It is located within the historical centre of Perugia very close to the most important and famous attractions and the main facilities..
I liked this hostel itself, very small but nice; modern interior, clean, very good WiFi, nice staff (Mariam and Veronica) at the reception, which is however only manned for a short time. And the central location is great anyway! I would have liked to stay 3-4 nights, especially since the price/performance ratio was right for me. BUT: the weak point of this hostel seems to be the lack of communication and the missing respectful treatment. Why? When I arrived by bike at about 19.30, I asked for a bed in a 8-bed room, as it was still advertised on Booking.com for €22. As I wanted to book directly, they only charged me €20 - great! So I booked right away for two nights and paid by credit card. However, the first of the two 8-bed rooms was already fully booked and apparently they forgot to take the offer off the platform - that's what I assume. So the boss instructed the employee via WhatsApp to sell the dorm, which I now have to myself, as a private room for the double price, €40, although the deal (for the dorm, 2 x 20€) had already been done and was paid!! I objected and in the meantime, of course, the offer was no longer on the platform. They said the supervisor would come in about 15 minutes, I wanted to discuss this matter with him. During about an hour I did not use the room, but the boss never showed up! After I insisted on my position the next day, they wrote me via WA that there is no free bed for the second night anymore. This was a LIE of course, but it showed me clearly how they deal with unwelcomed guests. In the afternoon, they wrote me that the €18 for the second night (already paid) would be waived, only to announce 15 minutes later that the management had had enough of my complaint and that my (paid) booking had been cancelled and I should vacate the room by 8pm otherwise the key would be blocked - WOW!! I can say with a clear conscience that I always expressed my arguments objectively and remained friendly in communication, so there was no real reason for this childish step. In the end, however, I gave in because I didn't want to change accommodation in the evening after my day trip and I was tired of writing with them. The decision-makers, whom I unfortunately never got to see, argued that they could set the prices themselves as they want and that they did not want to trade like on the fish market. I can understand this attitude. But to change the conditions AFTER the payment, I think it's unfair! One more detail: normally they charge daily €5 to store a bicycle somewhere inside. This months they don't ask for this amount because of renovation work or something, as the receptionist said. But, to counter my dissatisfaction, the bosses in the background said they would be so generous and waive the (currently non-existent) bike fee ... The bottom line is that these people don't take the truth too seriously.

This is a convent that is managed by sisters. The rooms are clean and basic. No TV or other in room conveniences other than a bed and a bath. The sisters speak no English but are very accommodating. The location is close to where most of the interesting sites and restaurants are located. If you are driving, there is an elevator and stairs leading down to a convenient parking lot.

Accoglienza gentile e camera pulita e abbastanza comoda. Costacciaro è un paesino isolato, ma con abitanti calorosi e gentili. Ottimo punto di partenza per escursioni. Possibilità di parcheggiare gratuitamente nelle vie del paese.
